Fil d'Or No1

I just discovered this perfume from a sample that was in my Mystery Box 8 from Sebastian Jara, The Perfume Guy, on YouTube. It is love at first sniff. I typically love boozy, spicy, vanillic orientals with a hint of smoke and maybe a subtle chypre accord. This one ticks all those boxes. I am impressed with how it dries down and each stage is beautiful, with all the earlier notes lingering elegantly. It lasted eight hours on me, which is rare and I imagine the sillage is very good. This will definitely be in my top rotation for fall/winter of 2025. Now I want to try the other two from Laurent Mazzone.

I don't have words to describe how much I adore this fragrance. I too received this in a sample from Sebastian in a discovery kit (haul)! This fragrance is a dry ambery, resinous, balsamic LOVE. If you like Rock the Myrrh or very deep and rich ambery fragrances, you will likely enjoy this. It is full bottle worthy, with a very heft price tag. I love it, though!

When I sprayed this perfume it reminded me a lot of Angels' Share By Kilian, however it is not that. It is a soft rum combined with honey, which underneath has light herbal notes and a slight fruity sweetness. In short, a sweet alcoholic perfume that over time opens up into the freshness of herbs and trees

Amazing! A smoky, woody, creamy feel. Good job, Laurent Mazzone, for this offering. It is so damn elegant. It smells like refinement. Lovely!

Nice. I like it. This one you have to try. The funk and fruity sweetness is not for everyone but I am enjoying this.
