Kingdom of Dreams

I tried this at House of Zohr in Milan. My husband and son were fidgeting on the curb, eager to get supper. I tried about 8 different perfumes in about 10 minutes, looking to try fragrances that I can't try in the US. I put this on one wrist, and an Italian fragrance on another, and ran out. The next morning at 5am, I could still smell both as I buckled into my airplane seat. My 14yo son wanted to know what I was wearing. I let him sniff both wrists, and he became very solemn. "Mom," he said, "you need to get those both." Yes, yes, I know, I know. When I got home, I ordered Kingdom of Dreams from House of Zohr, and they sent it via Italian regular post. It took a bit of time, but it arrived without any hiccup from US Customs. Keep that in mind if you want to get fragrances from Europe and into the US. It was precisely as wonderful as I had remembered. Pricewise, it felt like jumping off a cliff, but I have never regretted it.

So holy, so beautiful ,so dark and gothic. You can almost feel labdanum smell inside of you. Very spiritual perfume. A powerful one , you get kind of possessed by the aura of this smell. Longevity and silage is just perfect for this kind of smell - not enormous, but sort of lingering in the air.

The most realistic smell of the orthodox church incense! The previous review of "veronika.norutytė" is a spot-on. I wish the projection were stronger, because Kingdom of Dreams is so good that I want to dissolve my soul in it! A perfumery art on a different level!

First wiff did not promise anything special but it grew and grew and developed into wonderful joyous warm incense.

So this is probably one of the closest scents to my beloved signature, Embers. It's a great mysterious incense spicy woodsy church scent, and I love it. Finally got a hold of a decant to try properly - and I'm completely being nit picky here - but I have to because - after all, what I am comparing it to is the non plus ultra of perfumes in my books. So this - as amazing as it is - does have a few aspects to it (only small "flaws" that make it less enjoyable for me then embers. First of all it is leathery to my nose. Not a huge leather fan. It is less evocative for me, maybe less complex? Also a touch soapy - which I have found with a few incense based frags, and also that it's a little "sour" (drydown is sweeter - on me anyway). The nutmeg, pepper, patch and smoke work beautifully together. I won't be buying - but big respect for this one.

Serviceable but unoriginal dark woods/patchouli/spice mix, particularly heavy on the nutmeg. Warm and pleasant, clearly unisex and generally wearable, with decent performance but somehow just not all that inspiring or distinctive. Not a leader of the pack, but a solid team player. Sadly it doesn't spark anything more inspiring in me - but I feel a little bad about underrating it, since it ought to be right in the middle of Stuff I Like territory. It does darken and sour a little later on, which makes it less middle-of-the-road but not really more pleasing on my skin. Worth a try, but it's nothing to make you sit up and pay serious attention. A pleasant enough Kingdom to visit, but my own Dreams are lusher, weirder and more creative than this.

Very nice spicy incense fragrance. Not much sweetness and leans a tad to the masculine side. It pretty much smells like the notes listed. Lots of spicy, incense, patch and some kick from the Vetiver. A bit of amber warmth in the background. I'd love to smell this on a guy. I'm surprised that this doesn't have good longevity considering the notes. The sillage is average at a stretch. I already own scents that are similar so no fb for me. A great scent for cool weather. Nothing mind blowing.

Light musky ambery incense... this is like a latex, rubber, and leather. It is sweet when it calms down but remains sensually leathery with that touch of musk, bitter nutmeg, sweet incense mingled with amber. There is a fruitti touch in here, something like a hidden cocktail, more like a noir cocktail! something syrupy with ink! This a beautiful glossy latex, sensually smooth, and full of mysterious ecstasy. Beautiful.

Has a lovely complex start but later develops into a sourish patchouli that could have been saved if musk and amber were stronger on me, i don't really feel them here. Overall still a pleasant and strong scent, at least 3 hours in one spray.

a nice spicy (nutmeg) incense, round and comfortable

اسپایسی_چوبی_انیمالیک شروع عطر با رایحه ای قدرتمند و شلوغ پلوغ از روایح چوبی و بالزام و ... است کلیت عطر سلیقه‌ی من نیست.از مُشک سنگین و کاملا انیمالیک گرفته تا ادویه های کُهنه و بدون تازگی از اون بوی تند و تیز مجهول و بالزامیک گرفته،تا حس و حال کلاسیک و پیرمردی اش اوایل این مشک انیمالیک حس چرمی هم منتقل می‌کرد که دوست‌اش نداشتم اما به مرور کنترل میشه و از شدت‌اش کاسته میشه اما در نهایت به سمت سلیقه‌ی من نمیره فضای بالزامیک و تا حدود ای قره قروت وار عطر به همراه روایح انیمالیک و مشک حیوانی،چیزی نبود که من رو ترغیب به خرید و حتی تست مجدد کنه -تست شده از شیشه‌ی قدیمی و کپل- *************** scent:5.5/10 longevity:9/10 sillage:8.5/10 purchase value:1/10 ******** overall:6/10

Spicy insense with a touch of burned rubber. Like freshly lighted labdanum with the sulphur from the matches. Give it a try if you are into Maleficent scents. :)

If yellow sulphur had a scent, it would be this. Hate this so much, i almost gagged after smelling it. My family also took a sniff and gave it a vomit inducing scent. The incense is very disgusting in this one. Not even sample buying worthy leave blind buy worthy.

A very strong perfume with extremely strong projection. It is well composed incense. In fact it is exactly like a church incense, full of well rounded cedar, lots and lots of resin and a smoky amber. Nice to smell as an incense but not for me.

I would live a chance to either get a decant sample, or ideas for which department store in the US might carry this so I can sample. Any ideas?

Absolutely beautiful fragrance! Smells like incense, very spiritual and mysterious.
