Sine Die

This is one that I've had for a while and neglected. Applying it, I immediately remember what drew me to it in the first place, and I think "yes, it was a sound choice!". That fig note - fruity, but a bit fougère simultaneously. I don't normally (but do sometimes) rock fruity perfumes, but the fig note is one that I will rock even when it is not one of those rare 'fruity perfume' times. Wouldn't say there's anything truly remarkable about this fragrance - it's basically just one that delivers straightforwardly. You want to rock a figgy perfume with generous amberiness to set the 'theme' note? and no big surprises or shock & awe, or any of that kind of thing? Well, this may well be what does the trick. It's basically a fig+amber combo with well-measured admixture of ancilliary notes to frame and garnish it, and a sheer stoutness and solidity answering adequately to its lower high-end pricepoint. My update on this after a few hours been out with it on could hardly be more shining! My sense of smell is constantly telling me that I am positively oozing a scrumptious glistening drippy amber (but not a gassy amber - not this one), but with that fig note riding on it like a surfer surfing a wave. Or maybe that does it an injustice ... no , I think the fig note is shaping the amber, rather than just riding on it. I've gotten a really earnest compliment also: this woman who wanted to know all about what it was, where I'd got it, etc (including how much it cost, which to my great relief she wasn't shocked by!), saying that she was passing through its trail whenever she passed near me; and as I was carrying it in my bag (reapplication turning out redundant as it happened) I offered her a spritz of it, which she gladly accepted. Definitely a totally satisfactory acquisition, this one - better than I dared expect!

A lovely fig and citrus scent. Quite an intense opening. Sweet, fleshy, ripe fig contrasting with fresh, sharp, crisp grapefruit. I like how they are backed with cool violet and animalistic leather. It's a great combination of notes. They look like they should clash horribly on paper but I am enjoying this interesting result. I get why others see the similarity with Pulp. On me the blackcurrant leaf in Pulp is so strong on the opening and along most of the timeline to make me wince. I thankfully don't get that with Sine Die. It smells like the notes listed as does Pulp. I'm not really one for fruity scents but this has the depth and interest. Im pleased the citrus note really lasts as well. Its an important part of why I am enjoying this scent so much. Definitely fb worthy. I get good longevity and sillage. A scent for cool weather wear. It's more of a casual wear scent and very unisex.

This was a blind buy. I know, I know, blind buys are a bad idea. But it was on offer at Notino down by 50% and was only one left! So I sprayed and genuinely couldn't tell whether I liked it or not. this has never happened to me before as I usually either like it or I don't. But I think it was that it is such an unusual scent tht my nose did not know in what catagory to put it. But after an hour I just kept smelling this gorgeous, juicy, ripe plummy blackcurrent smell with a slightly amber note to stop it being too sweet (that is how it smells to my nose, not really fig). Well I am in love, it is the best blind buy ever (still not going to make a habit of it thought). I do not get Byredos pulp from it AT ALL. I sampled this a Harrods today and it has such a rotting, putrid smell at he tail-end of the sweetness which this definitely does not have.

Such a great fragrance, this is gonna be my next purchase for sure. The notes of fig and grapefruit combine beautifully and smells almost exactly like a delicious and refreshing peach note, can’t explain it better you just have to try it. Really recommend it! Such a underrated smell.

Very similar opening to Byredo Pulp, I would say the same but Sine Die stays pretty much linear whilst Pulp changes and becomes more complex with the drydown. I love the opening and want to it to last, hence I prefer Sine Die.

it's exactly what I was looking for - ripe juicy fig, photorealistic bot cloying, summary and uplifting. I don't get any leather or any violet (sadly, I love that note). Got myself a decant for summer, quite happy with it.

Sine Die is one of those scents that makes you go weak at the knees. The projection is medium to soft but the scent is longlasting. The quality is also amazing like the others LM perfumes.

Got a sample of this and Pulp at the same time, looking for a fruity summertime scent with "something different". When I smell the bottles of Sine Die and Pulp, they are veeeeeery similar, but as soon as I apply them to the skin they are quite different. I'd probably use them for the same occasions, so I'm currently trying to decide which one I'm more interested in. This is much softer and smoother than Pulp, with the violet making it more floral as well. Lovely amber and woody dry down but maybe too far from the sweet acidic fruitiness I was hoping for. I don't get noticeable leather on my skin. Very well blended. I'd say it has moderate sillage and longevity. To me, it leans feminine but not overly so.

I smelled it not looking at the notes and here is my first impression. Fig scent in a style of AdP Fico di Amalfi but much deeper, Fig + green apple (at least what I thought was bitter green apple, in fact it's grapefruit lol) + milk/cream. Combine Fico di Amalfi and ELdO I am Trash and add some milk, boom you have Sine Die. That was first think I had on my mind. I don't pick up any leather. It's really fresh and bright. Fantastic late spring-summer unisex scent. 8/10

Fresh perfume, pleasant and transversal for men and women. Very abundant fig notes and well-balanced citrus notes. Good sillage. A welcome surprise.

Well... I hate the opening. There is way too much acidity. Luckily it goes off in a few minutes and a lovely fresh fig note comes in. Its plain and fresh fig, pretty naive on my skin and floral too. As fig goes away, a beautiful violet comes in. I have to say that the violet note is mesmerizing but it is very feminine too. The drydown is nice with amber and clean-clear woods. I couldn’t detect the leather, perhaps its blended with the violet... This is a violet fragrance on my skin. Its way too floral and feminine for me. As i read the reviews i see comparisons to Byredo Pulp. I think Pulp is fruit centered and slightly floral. But Sine Die is a floral violet. I found little resemblence between the too.

Tarte, bright, juicy fruit cocktail with honey and amber. A marriage between Byredo Pulp and Naomi Goodsir Or du Serail. Lasting power is good and softens into this beautiful clean optimistic smell that melds into the skin. I like it better than both perfumes mentioned above, this one does not have the powdery thick dry down of Naomi Goodsir.

I get a lot of grapefruit at the beginning, then leather and violet lurk in mixing with the fig. Will have fun mixing it with other scents. Well blended quality ingredients.

Very similar to Tales of Zanzibar Although I prefer Zanzibar
