Fresh Vanilla Lemon

I have been wearing this fragrance for about 8 years now. This is one my favorites for two reasons: 1) It is a lovely woody-lemon scent 2) it evokes the biggest memory response for me. Let me explain... We’d visit family in New Hampshire and Maine sometimes during the summer, at their campgrounds. In middle school, we moved to New Hampshire and I have spent the past 30 years hiking and camping in the New Hampshire and Maine woods. This scent brings me back the moment I smell it. It doesn’t smell super sweet to me, I get none of the lemon baked goods that others describe. I get warm pine needs and soft lemon sweetness. If you’ve ever been in a pine forest, or a campground with a ton of high pine trees, and the ground covered with dried brown pine needles - you know that on dry, hot days you can catch their hot, sweet, and woody scent in the air. That is exactly what this fragrance does for me. This is a 10/10 in my book.

Love this. Smells like delicious creamy lemon meringue. Very bright and tart lemon at first, but not overbearing. Around 30 mins later on the drydown a soft vanilla comes out and the lemon fades away. Even a few hours later it has a slight sweet vanilla scent, but not like the deeper vanilla scent you get with Vanilla Coconut, Vanilla Summer or Vanilla Passionfruit. The lemon seems to brighten up the leftover vanilla scent. It is the shortest lasting of all the Lavanila fragrances, after around 2.5 hours I had a hard time discerning any scent at all. It's nice while it lasts though. It is remarkably similar to DKNY Sweet Delicious Creamy Meringue, which is more of a brighter lemon with a creamy base. It seems to last a tad longer and it truly smells like creamy lemon until it fades away around 5 hours later.. (now sold at Kohl's)

Fresh Vanilla Lemon smells just like a combination of Pillsbury/Duncan Hines/Betty Crocker rich, creamy lemon frosting supreme. I make these specialty sugar cookies with a crunchy brown sugar layer at the bottom, (vanilla) sugar cookie in the middle and then topped with lemon frosting. Lavanila Laboratories has captured this perfectly in a mouth-watering, super delicious perfume. Yes, it's a skin-scent, yes, it wears close to the skin, no, it doesn't project like a megaphone with a blue-light special, but it does create a yummy little personal space just perfect for self care and fun for one. And if anyone happens to snuggle in close, they are definitely going to want a nibble. (It's so cheap, get the rollerball version, tuck it in your purse and just dare the summer to melt it off your skin.)

I will add my review on this scent that really seems to depend on your skin chemistry and how this fragrance smells. :) On me this starts off with a nice fresh lemon and sweet fruity scent. It dries down fairly quickly on me. In the first few hours it smells more like a lemon tart to me but after that it is all a yummy fluffy vanilla lemon cake on me! I love gourmand scents so for me this is a winner! It lasts about 10 to 12 hours on me and can be smelled by people walking by me. I love it! I have smelled D&G Light Blue MANY times and on me it does not work. It almost has a sporty masculine scent on me. So there is no similarity in these two scents on my skin. I know on some people it does. I did blind buy this, but I really suggest you try it on your skin before you purchase it.

A beautiful lemon-vanilla scent. It's very simple and sweet. The vanilla keeps it a warmer sort of scent, while the lemons sort of spice it up a little and give it a nice fresh kick. It can work in either summer or winter, but on me I prefer cooler months for vanillas. I can't love this one though, even though the scent is so nice. Out of the Lavanilas I've tried this one has the weakest longevity - about an hour to two.

An initial burst of lemon, freshness that yes, is just like Light Blue. In no time at all the lemon fades and I get a powdery floral and vanilla. Beautiful fragrance, just so lovely.

- further on, i did buy a whole bottle of this, it grows on you even if you're not a huge vanilla fan. something about it keeps you coming back to it. Great summer scent!

This was a surprise to me, I enjoyed the bright lemon of this and it's contrast to the strong tropical vanilla scent. I might buy a full bottle of this one.

I swear this smells exactly like lemon pound cake on my skin! I smell the sweet lemon flavoring, the vanilla, and the rich mellow powdery cake. It's a simple fragrance, but extremely delicious. It's a different take on the lemon perfumes on the market. While I love the fresh, clean lemon scents and the tart, juicy notes that are often found in lemon perfumes, it's extremely nice to find a gourmand lemon that is pillowy soft and sweet. So since I did read some of the previous reviews, I feel inclined to mention, this does not smell like Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue on my skin at all. However, I do like to mix it with Light Blue! I'll put Light Blue all over, then a few choice spots of Fresh Vanilla Lemon. Really nice, fresh, and sweet combination!

In the opening notes, Fresh Vanilla Lemon smells sweet and somewhat gourmand - I get the lemon cake vibe that others have talked about. However, this phase doesn't last too long on my skin. The fragrance quickly develops into a softer blend of lemon, vanilla and bamboo. It's only lightly sweet, and it's not tart either. It has a soft, airy, crisp quality. I do get the references to Light Blue - it's like LB mixed with a warm vanilla base. I imagine this fragrance smells like what you would get if you combined Light Blue and Lavanila's Pure Vanilla. This is easily the most refreshing scent from the Lavanila line, and it's also one of few vanilla fragrances out there that I expect would wear well in hot weather.

It's a sugary lemon cheesecake kind of vibe! It's a gorgeous sweet scent that lasts well over 6hrs! The lemon is definitely the highlight of the fragrance with the vanilla being a cosy supporting scent. I get a lot of compliments when I wear it. I do recommend that if you try this, try it in Summer as it works so much better in the warmth:) I bought this in Hawaii, it's a perfect tropical holiday fragrance:)

Soft lemon cake, as many others have stated. I love it for its simplicity and to me it smells mouth watering, if that's even a thing. It's not really that typical gourmand scent though, it's natural smelling. Sadly it doesn't last very long on the skin. Slightly sweet yet fresh, and it is definitely safe for work.

The best one of the line I think.It smell like clean laundry and vanilla, sound weird but it works. I would wear it if it did'nt gave me massive headache like the entire Lavanilla line does. I don't know the kind of vanilla they use but it doesn't agree with me! Still it smell fantastic...

This review is for the deodorant. It smells so clean and natural. Like sun-dried laundry. Completely inoffensive. I didn’t really expect to like it but this has been my go-to deodorant for a long time. I would consider trying the perfume!

LOVE THE NATURAL SCENT AND NATURAL INGREDIENTS! This is another beautiful fragrance from LAVANILA and most important..A HEALTHY ONE!

I like this much better than Pure Vanilla, but longevity is poor and it's still a bit too sweet on me.

Smells a bit like Light Blue, but better IMO. Light Blue has a horrible metallic dry down on me for some reason, but this one does not. I have found my spring fragrance. Very happy with it.

Separately, I love vanilla and lemon scents. I thought together it would be good. This does not work for me. The lemon came through sour and tart. No sweetness or light, crisp scent. Just very angry, loud lemons. The Vanilla Grapefruit, on the other hand, smells divine on me & is my favorite of this line (although I still have yet to try the Vanilla Spice).

I was surprised to not see cedar as note in this..it certainly smells like it on me. That said, the bamboo+vanilla+lemon fails with my skin, although I really like other things in this line. It must be that their version of vanilla doesn't play with citrus in my nose, because the only other thing by them I dislike as intesnsly is the Vanilla Grapefruit.

I was hoping this would be a cheap alternative to Creed's Sublime Vanille, but it's really not even close. It's sharp and sour, and there's no vanilla in it at all on my skin. I was extremely disappointed with this one, and tossed out my rollerball without even finishing it because I couldn't find anybody else who wanted it.
