Vanilla Coconut

For me this smells like a delicious coconut milk drink, sipping it while enjoying the sun at the beach in the tropics. I get everything in the notes pyramid above except for the wood. With some beachy coconut scents, I often get a sun tan lotion vibe, but not so with this one. It's mostly a deliciously soft and powdery sweet vanilla mixed with a ripened and milky coconut. It's very sweet but I don't find it tooth achingly sugary, it's more of a subdued sweetness, very creamy and milky. The vanilla adds a warmth to the fragrance as well, so it really melds with my skin. I get some lovely white florals that seems to round everything out and add some sophistication and powderiness to the scent. It's not just plain coconutty gourmand, it's beautiful and soft and feminine, fun and flirty. Ideal for summer and those cooler days you need a pick me up. It's so juicy and creamy, I find it simply delicious and will wear it all summer. Also, it's a huge bonus that it's an all-natural sort of scent. Score.

A surprisingly beautiful gourmand! I discovered Lavanila Coconut Vanilla through the Discovery Set, and it was the only one I truly loved. At first, I was disappointed because all I could smell was the tiare flower, which reminded me of a cheap monoï fragrance I wore as a teenager. But when I went back to it, I realized the delicious, fresh gourmand vanilla had been there all along — I just hadn’t noticed it at first! On my skin, I completely fell in love. It’s sweet and gourmand without being heavy, perfect for a hot tropical climate, and the projection and longevity are surprisingly good for a non toxic fragrance. It reminds me a little of Dulce by Rosie Jane and Hypnotic Poison by Dior, two fragrances I love. The name: “Vanilla Coconut” sounds so generic and really doesn’t do this beautiful, addictive fragrance justice. I didn’t love the rest of the Discovery Set, but this one completely surprised me. I’ll definitely buy a full bottle!

Vanilla Coconut is simply delicious, and easily the most gourmand of the Lavanila scents I have tried. I don't get much of a suntan oil vibe out of this; rather, it's all about the gourmand. Even though it is foody, it is not sweet to an intolerable extent. In comparison to Pacifica Indian Coconut Nectar, Vanilla Coconut is less sweet but somehow richer. Many great descriptions have already been given about the deliciousness of this fragrance, so there is not much more I can add in that respect. But I would say that, strangely enough, there is something in this that gives off the feel of crushed Oreo cookies. Although there is no chocolate listed as a note, I get the scent of crumbly, dry cacao powder amidst all the toasty coconut cream. The tiare also adds a wonderful buttery-thick and luscious tropical aspect to balance things out.

Vanilla Coconut is like eating an entire box of double vanilla creme sandwich cookies while wearing sun screen. The thick sugar and vanilla reign over the composition, though the coconut and tiare are present, albeit in the background. Longevity is outstanding, though the drydown is almost exclusively vanilla cream cookie. An intense sweet and direct natural smelling vanilla. I highly recommend purchasing the rollerball of Vanilla Coconut as opposed to the full-sized spray bottle, because it is so sweet and rich that it is fairly easy to grow tired of it. As others have stated, a tiny bit goes a long way.

For reference: I’m a woman in her late 40’s. I originally got this as a sample size, but liked it enough to buy a larger size. Opens with nutty coconut and vanilla. Dries down to a coconutty vanilla with soft florals. Definitely a true coconut smell. This one is more intimate. Only lasts for 1-2 hours on my skin. Lavanila makes my favorite vanilla scents, so far. I have this one (Vanilla Coconut), as well as Vanilla Grapefruit and Pure Vanilla. Vanilla Coconut doesn’t last as long as Pure Vanilla, but still smells wonderful.

I adore this fragrance!!! If you love vanilla and anything to do with coconut you will love it too! The top notes give a powdery fragrance that smells quite similar to fake tan, but in a good way!! Every time I wear this I have people ask me what fragrance it is:) I find I get around 5 hours of decent wear from it, it’s my absolute go to fragrance so I don’t mind reapplying. I have gone through bottles of this and I feel like I will always have one on hand for the rest of my life!!!

I got the Vanilla Coconut rollerball. Upon first applying it, it's vanilla/rootbeer. Actually, I thought of Play-Doh. But, as it settled, it warmed up a bit, and the coconut emerged. I haven't detected any sandalwood or flowers. Somehow, this manages to be a clean, crisp vanilla coconut, without being sticky candy sweet. The name Vanilla Coconut sounds like it guarantees the opposite, but it manages to pull that off! I love my sugary scents, but I love this one too.

I've seen this in stores but never really paid much attention to it. I was in today and decided to give it a shot and oh man, it's delicious. Most perfumes change on my skin, so I was expecting it to go super sweet. But after I put it on it was like wrapping up in a warm vanilla toasted coconut blanket (Not literal food, but you know what I mean). Strong enough to smell a ways away, but it's more like a soft whisper rather than a screaming look at me type.

Totally love this. My friends said I smelled like play doh in a good way and my patients told me I smell like a cookie lol :) It feels like a nice warm hug that follows you all day. Perfect winter and fall scent and would work for other seasons too. Also I like the fact it doesn't have nasty chemicals yet still has excellent longevity and sillage. I do adore the Lavanila line, especially this one and the Pure Vanila scent, both yummy and very easy to wear.

What a wonderful combo of vanilla, tropical flowers, and pulpy delicious coconut. It's warm, it's luscious, it's....it's....sex on the beach! This one is more of a skin scent, but the longevity is decent at around 4 - 5 hours. Perfect for summer casual wear or for close encounters of the Maui-WOWIE kind! Good quality (as can be expected from Lavanila), reasonably priced, and I think it's a safe blind buy if you like the notes listed.

Such an incredible scent! one of my most worn, go-to, favorite fragrances. It takes a moment to settle, and from then on I pick up delicious creamy coconut, and lush vanilla. It's like a coconut cake. I don't find it to be super sweet, though, but a good combination of two naturally "sweet" scents. Beautiful, tropical, warm and inviting. I have worn almost every single day since I purchased.

This one lasts all day and night on me! I love the true vanilla coconut scent! I got the roller ball to try not knowing the brand and I have to say that I will be needing a full sized bottle! Sweet, natural vibes. I love pacifica, but this is a much higher quality "Clean Fragrance". I'm excieted to try out the others in this house.

Top note is tiare flower; middle notes are sandalwood and heliotrope; base notes are coconut and vanilla. This is straight coconut/vanilla on me and it lasts. Simple and sweet. Very true to its name. Vanillic coconut, with some subtle white florals. Definitely one of the best vanilla scents I've smelled. It's sweet but it's not foody, thanks to the coconut and tiare flower. Very pleasant and easy to wear.

This is the best vanilla coconut perfume I have tried so far. Warm, creamy and delicious. The lasting power is fantastic too...I put this on 5 hours ago and I can still smell it great! This is a must have for the coconut lover!

This scent is a tropical paradise without smelling like a cheap tanning lotion. If you like that coconut note in J-Lo's Miami Glow and wish there was more of it, you might like Lavanila's coconut vanilla.

I didn't get coconut out of this one, either. Rather, I spent about two hours smelling like a sugar cookie--perfect for our attendance at a Girl Scouts meeting. The vanilla aroma was authentic to me.

It smells really nice, and theres that warm kind of feel about it. It deffinatly smells like vanilla, and coconut. I like it a lot. hope this review helps!

Smells like the deep brown Pacifica Candle called Mexican Cocoa.

Lavanila has really won me over, and I was skeptical, to put it mildly, of a series of perfumes with single- and double-note names, which sounded to me like just another gimmick along the lines of CLEAN. Instead, the people at Lavanila do themselves a great disservice by calling VANILLA COCONUT by such a name. For the composition really features tiare flower, which is adorned by sandalwood and heliotrope and lightly sprinkled with coconut and vanilla. A very nice composition, in the spirit of tiare flower monoi, VANILLA COCONUT does not--as I had feared--overwhelm the wearer with coconut in the manner of suntan lotion. Instead, this is a pleasant, simple but not simplistic gourmand-floral composition. I would never have purchased a full bottle of something named VANILLA COCONUT. (I might even have exchanged it unopened, had I received such a fragrance as a gift!) But I am happy to have made this propitious discovery through a minirollerball tester set. Maybe I'll write to Lavanila to suggest more inviting names for their excellent gourmand compositions... Wrist sniffers one and all!

Not what the name says - zero coconut! I honestly thought they bottled the wrong perfume in mine because I can't smell coconut at all, and it just smells of a neutral vanilla. Sadly this isn't even a gourman vanilla, I was hoping for vanille coco vibes by Kayali, something sweet and gourmand, vanilla and coconutty with hints of tropical but this is NOT it. It is VERY basic vanilla, some play-doh scent in it, and I only wear it if I layer. It doesnt last that long, and you need to wear something sweet to cut through the play-doh scent but it does have a good plain vanilla vibe. Definitely only good for layering in my opinion. I love that it's non tox, yet it is odd because it smells synthetic... anyway, if you like vanilla you could give this a go it's fairly affordable, and layer with some of your other fragrances. I don't think a lot of people will LOVE this though.

About five years ago I bought a roller flacon of this scent because it was the only Lavanila that smelled overtly vanillic to my nose, and it delivers. As some reviewers have noted, the coconut is smooth and warm, even toasted, and I agree. The vanilla is what takes center stage here and it is nicely intertwined with the tiare which is further sweetened by the heliotrope. The coconut seems utterly melded with the vanilla. The sandalwood is only detectable to me at the drydown about four to five hours after application. Overall, the scent is a vanilla-tiare-coconut bomb, linear, mostly non-developing, but not a disappointment for those who want a strong fragrance to wear any time of year and which has incredible sillage and projection.

It was years ago when I picked up a rollerball flacon of this in Sephora and I STILL have 2/3 left. Why? This stuff on my skin is strrronnnggg. Upon first whiff and application I get an alcohol note that takes a good hour to dissipate. This isn't terrible; rather, it's evocative of a coconutty tropical drink on a miserably cold and wet day: welcome and fun. However, it's also incredibly sweet. So, if I were to whip this out this fall or winter I'd layer it under a soapy, woody scent like Clean White Woods to temper Lavanilla's wild child of a concoction.

Imagine marshmallows covered in coconut shavings and roasted over a fire, then chased down with a tall glass of milk. Or yummy coconut cream pie with merengue on top! This of the Lavanila line is the most gourmand to me. The opening does remind me of suntan lotion but it quickly transitions into the drydown which is the best. And boy does it stand out too. Geez, I tested No. 5 and TF Black Orchid along with this, and this was the one that kept begging me to sniff! Last forever too, just like the others of this house.

The name says it all :) Creamy, smooth & sweet - it is good enough to eat! Here is a dessert of a fragrance that smells like a home-made luxury as opposed to a shop-bought cheapie. Real vanilla pods & brown sugar warmed in thick jersey cream with just a touch of coconut cream added in the mix. Hazy & relaxed, pared down yet interesting, if you like the main starlets of this frag then you will enjoy the quality here whether it is alone or as a mixer. As C3C says... you will smell gooood! Lovely, simple scent.

This is a really nice basic coconut scent for the summer. Pretty basic and non-offensive, which I prefer in hot weather. I really feel like I'm at the beach with this one. The tiare flower really is present in the opening - I wish it stayed throughout. Still, the coconut and vanilla are beautiful in the drydown. A very sweet, youthful scent. It reminds me of the Bath & Body Works Exotic Coconut body spray I had way back in 2008-ish. Loving this for the hot summer months here in South Texas!

I got a sample of this over the weekend and my impressions: This fragrance is very straight-forward; it smells exactly like the name: vanilla & coconut. It is much stronger than I expected. It really hit me hard at first spritz but then it dried down a bit and wasn't so sweet. It's not very interesting; I feel like I can get something similar at Bath & Body Works for much cheaper. Don't get me wrong, it's nice but too generic to buy a whole bottle.

While I don't smell the coconut in this I still love it. It reminds me of vanilla extract (in a good way), much closer to true vanilla than the Lavanila pure vanilla version. It's warm and sweet, but not overpowering. The scent lasts for a long time, something I always appreciate but can't always find. My boyfriend didn't care for it in the bottle, but when I wore it one night and didn't tell him, his first comment was "Mmmm! You smell good!"

Well, for a vanilla-coconut scent, I was disappointed. On my skin, Victoria's Secret Coconut Passion is better. This just smells like a very boring fake vanilla and even more boring coconut mash-up. And that's it. I don't get any "tropical" or "floral" like some of you report. The vanilla and coconut aren't even friends on my skin. They just sit there being bored, separately. Badly.

This is meh..pretty straight-forward sweet coconut. Actually, it's not even very coconutty, which I would like more than this in a sun-tan-lotion day-at-the-beach sort of way. This put me more in the mind of nice gas station bathrooms or the coconut stuff you spray in your car at the carwash. Fine in your ride, but not necesarily what I want to smell like.

It seems to go away after 5 to 10 minutes. Maybe I have an old formula. I get the Tiare flower, the vanilla, which is almost like a vanilla candle. then at the end I get a tiny hint of coconut. Altogether its so beautiful especially in beginning, I just wish it would last longer. I did get off eBay, so maybe next round I'll buy brand new.

To me the initial smell is identical to the Dior hypnotic poison, Im not sure about the dry down though. It has the same play dough vibe many others say about the hypnotic poison. It feels a little too heavy for my personal liking for a vanilla coconut scent, I expected the coconut to be a bit more airy.

Very sweet and simple vanilla, coconut, tiare flower combo. Decent performance and pleasant to wear all year long. This is my alternative to Guerlain Terracotta le parfum which is a bit more advanced in complexity, performance and creaminess. However, this is a good staple for everyday wear.

I bought Vanilla Coconut because I could not find any sun lotion that smells like this. I am a bit obsessed with coconut smell at the beach or pool so I basically scented my Sisheido sun lotion with this, mix them up really well and there you have it: coconut-vanilla sun lotion. Yay!

Warm, sweet, toasted coconut and vanilla. ;') This smells so good and has a tolerable sweetness. It is one of the most authentic coconut fragrances I have ever come across and smells delectable. I would love to get a bottle after my sample runs out. Thanks c3c! ;'D

I mostly just smell the coconut and the vanilla. There is a strange synthetic smell in the opening that I do not really like but it seems to dry away pretty quickly. I agree that it may be better suited for the summer and I look forward to using it then.

A nice vanilla with a bit of coconut added in, though I can barely make out the coconut. This smells exactly like an el cheapo vanilla body spray I picked up at Walmart a couple of years ago. Nice but not worth the price tag.

i like it and have used almost half the bottle by now but even so its still not the true coconut scent I am looking for, smells a little synthetic but its still nice.

Very strong vanilla. The coconut kinda gets lost, but the sillage and longevity are amazing. However, on my skin, people tend to say I smell like chocolate cake.

I am a huge fan of Lavanila's Pure Vanilla. I ordered my second bottle today. Also today, came the Vanilla Coconut rollerball I ordered. I had such high hopes and maybe that's why I'm disappointed. I expected basically Pure Vanilla + coconut. This was not so. This one has a spicy, kind of synthetic sting to my nose. Honestly, I can't wait for the scent to fade so I can put on more Pure Vanilla. I expected and wanted more of a creamy dessert or suntan lotion kind of coconut and maybe that's due to my unrefined nose. I realize that's not what most people are looking for. It just fell short of Pure Vanilla on me anyway. Pure Vanilla is perfect in my opinion, but that is just that. My opinion.

On me this is very sweet without any leavening warmth or richness. The coconut is light but synthetic, and the gardenia is pretty noticeable. The vanilla fades surprisingly quickly, but it's overwhelmed by the pure sugary sweetness anyway. I would have said the sillage is relatively close to the body, but it leaves a definite trail that I could pick up on well after I scrubbed my arm. My wife wants to smell like cookies at all times, so I bought samples of this and a number of other vanilla scents to look for something for her. I will continue to look.

I have been wearing this scent for about 8 years now, and the liquid in my original bottle is now a deep, dark amber color. Unlike Lavanila’s Fresh Vanilla Lemon scent, this one is very linear to my nose. It smells oh so very sweet, like burnt sugar - or at least spun sugar. I don’t get any coconut at all. It is a nice fragrance, but not a favorite.

I've tried and loved perfumes that were technically less complex, yet this perfume somehow manages to be shockingly flat and uninspiring. It smells acceptable... The sandalwood, vanilla, and coconut notes are cohesive but flat. I like simple perfumes, but this FEELS very one note and densely linear.

I adore vanilla grapefruit from this same house but vanilla coconut is a tad too boring for me. When I think about the possibility of wearing something marvelous like vanille noir du mexique then I just can’t waste my time on this one.

I figured this would be a safe travel size blind buy, considering I'm pretty easy to please when it comes to coconut and tropical scents, and prefer products that lean more natural when possible. Unfortunately, Vanilla Coconut went so bad on my skin that I had to return it. I thought I had a winner upon first opening the bottle, being a nice blend of sweet coconut frosting with suntan lotion and a slight floral touch. After a few minutes of wear, it grew quite synthetic smelling, like a vanilla car freshener, and gave me a headache. I'm assuming it is the type of vanilla used that is causing the problem, as I had a similar issue with Delizia di Marshmallow by Kyse.

Far too sickly sweet for my taste. I usually love both coconut and vanilla scents, but this was just exceedingly sweet. The best description I have for this is coconut shaved ice syrup; a throat-stingingly sweet flavor that gives you a stomachache. Both the coconut and vanilla notes were slightly artificial. Maybe it would be better layered with another scent, because this one is so flat. This perfume is what the feeling of overeating stale candy would smell like.

I don't know why I smell something like bourbon in this fragrance, but I do. Perhaps it's due to the natural vanilla. It's super sweet, super sticky and kinda ruins the nice coconut+heliotrope thing it has going on. Those two on their own are sweet enough without the overdose of vanilla extract. I know many people automatically associate coconut with tropical and thus with summertime, but I can't even imagine wearing this on a hot day. I feel like I'd suffocate.

This one reminds me of sunscreen in the 1980s. There was something my best friend in grade school had in her bedroom that smelled exactly like this. So, not for me, but im sure there are those that would enjoy it.

I tested this one in 30 + degree weather. It was heavy and creamy smelling. I felt that it was a little too much for the heat. Coconut fans might appreciate it more.
