Rose 1845

Having worn Rose 1845 almost nonstop for a week (even to bed), the best way I can explain the way it wears is like the flowering of a rosebush... in rewind. Damask and Grasse rose essences in the opening give the impression of roses in full heady bloom before the addition of bergamot and sweetly green nuanced geranium wind back said roses to their delicate, yet bloomed buds. Then, further backwards in time, the camphorous herbality of Tasmanian myrtle and Boronia leaves (both of which impart a strangely Australiana familiarity to the perfume) and toasted immortelle render an image of the thorny mottled-green bush as it becomes increasingly woody towards the base with cinnamon and cedar. Later in the dry down, coumarin-rich tonka mingles with the now caramelised character of the immortelle and loamy darkness of patchouli to paint an image of the bush’s earthen roots. It is intoxicating, melancholic and uniquely beautiful in a style I have never before come across in a rose perfume. @eauxSILLAGE

Spicy, Ginger, Rose, and Woody notes with a warm, smooth resin that ties everything together. The scent of ginger tea wafts through the air, while the rose carries a subtle metallic green quality typical of rose oils. The sharpness, however, is softened by the resin’s smoothness. The woody base exudes an unfamiliar yet intriguing aroma, almost like camphor wood with a fruity twist. This is a fantastic everyday fragrance for rose lovers—approachable yet unique. It’s neither overpowering nor attention-seeking, making it effortlessly elegant for daily wear.

Wow! Finally! I found a rose fragrance that is perfectly balanced. It opens with the stem/greenness of a pink rose. I am so happy how this fragrance starts green and floral and slowly grows sweeter without becoming a jammy rose. I also have the shampoo and conditioner to match. Soon, I will be ordering the body oil for layering. For my taste, the high rating is on fragrantica is completely justified. The dry down is my favorite stage.

It was my spontaneous buy, having read a review both on Colognoisseur and EauxSillage blogs. I am a rose scent fan and I needed this scent immediately. I don't want to mention the notes, but my feeling wearing this scent was vividly described " this is for a lady who knows who she is and how she got there."(c)

This is an absolute masterpiece! A must try for any rose lover , it might remind you by Rose De Kundahar but still got its unique character , the rose here is high quality with dark , slightly smoke naunces. Great performance 10/10 Cheers
