#140 of My Fragrance Journey - Le Bonheur Perfumes The Story: The one that stayed with me in a room full of things that didn't Some fragrances come at you. This one just shifts the air slightly - and somehow that's the thing you notice. I first smelled it at the Tons of Beauty Expo in London. Packed room, too many perfumes all fighting for the same space, most of them blurring together the second you moved on. This one didn't. It stayed. Quietly, without making a case for itself. The first thing that hit me was how smooth it is. No hard edges, no awkward gear changes - it just opens and settles like it already knows where it's going. People compare it to Bois Impérial, Vibrato, Tygar. Honestly, I don't really get that. There's a citrus flicker at the start that might point your brain in that direction, but it doesn't stick around - it moves on and does its own thing entirely. Frankincense is the centre of gravity. Dry, mineral, slightly glowing without actually being bright. Bitter grapefruit keeps a tension running through it, stops it from going soft. Then something quieter slips in - coconut, but not the obvious kind, not beachy at all. More like a texture than a note, rounding things out at the edges. And then - celery seed. Which sounds wrong. On paper it reads almost unpleasant. On skin it just disappears into the structure and adds this cool green lift that you feel without ever identifying. You don't smell celery. You just notice the air moves a bit differently because of it. It threads under a soft violet and keeps everything feeling alive rather than static. Underneath all of that: vetiver, earthy and dry, gives it backbone. Patchouli adds depth without dragging. Cedar stays clean. Then amber, tonka, a whisper of vanilla - not sweet, just warm. Like the last light sitting on stone before it goes. The whole thing breathes. Nothing in it feels forced into place. There's a glow to it, but it's not doing anything to get your attention - frosted glass rather than sparkle. It doesn't try to prove itself. Which, I think, is the whole point. Performance is better than your nose will tell you. It's running on Ambrox Super and Timbersilk - the kind of molecules that make you think the fragrance has faded when it hasn't. You'll go nose-blind to it well before anyone else does. It outlasts your own awareness of it, which is either reassuring or slightly unsettling depending on your relationship with being smelled. One honest thing worth saying - it doesn't evolve dramatically. Finds its shape early and holds it. I don't personally mind that, but if you want something that keeps shifting on your skin and surprising you, this might feel too settled, too controlled. Then again, that's exactly what gives it the reliability. Not everything needs a twist. Dry air at dusk. Incense that hasn't been lit yet. Warm light on clean fabric. It's calm and grounded but not closed off. This is the 2nd perfume I've bought from this house and it's just as good as the first. Very smooth, well blended, doesn't smell cheap or screechy. I haven't smelled Bois Imperial or Sospiro so I can't compare it to them but I have smelled Sospiro and Tygar clones and it's not close to those at all. The only common ground between them is the bright citrus combo part of the opening but beyond that, it goes its own way. This smells clean, fresh and definitely feels mature, in a classy way. Terribly underrated house for the value they provide imo. They deserve more attention. If Le Bonheur checks these reviews, please do more collabs with perfumers for original creations.

Woody, aromatic. The celery note is very prominent, but not off-putting. It smells modern and classic at the same time. 100% for men. In a way, it reminded me of La Fenice Pour Homme by The Merchant of Venice, minus the leather note. It has men's shaving foam vibe. It lasts very well, but I can't comment on projection bc I only tested it once. It doesn't smell like Bois Impérial at all!

Mix between Bois Imperial and Vibrato Saspero. I did not like the Coconut note in the opening and the Vanella in the base, I believe they are ruining the scent, if they were not there, the scent would have been much better.
