Aqua Millefolia

Lovely fresh everyday scent! This reminds me of one of my all time favorite perfumes, Elizabeth Arden's Green tea, which I used to wear before I decided to buy only cruelty free and vegan cosmetics. But this one is more unisex, citrussy and a bit more complex (but in a good way!). Listed notes here don't quite catch the scents full potential. Where I bought this they listed cardamon and oud too. And I smell some hints of lemongrass and green tea aswell? I absolutely loooove the mint note in this, it and verbena gives nice herbal feel to perfume. I layer this one with Lushes Honey I Washed the Kids body spray for ultimate lemon combo 💛

Verbena is the main player here. Opens up with a blast of rindy citrusy, green, and with a coldness from the mint. Dries down to a citrusy, green, Verbena scent with some guaiac wood in the back. The dry down smells a little like "Voyage d'Hermès". Unisex for sure, very good for the warmer months, longevity and projection are the weak points, I get max 4 hours.

Sharp, almost acidic rind, with a minty metallic edge. Green and just slightly savoury. Performs quite well. This one is staying in my collection!

My suggestion: put on a few sprays right out of the shower or bath. This is a very clean and tidy fragrance, well-suited to the start of the day. It can fall a little flat when used as a standard cologne, but in a high humidity bathroom it really pops—the mint, especially, shines through, and the bitter notes are much more detectable (they say it's guaiac but I don't get enough of whatever-it-is to be able to pick up very specific sensory info; I can barely detect this bitter note if I apply this, say, midday when I'm already dressed and going about my routine). Don't be fooled by the list of notes, this works great in cold weather. I bought my bottle last spring, looking for an easy-wearing summer scent. I didn't use this much because it seemed too fugitive and monotonous at the time. For the last few months of cold weather, though, it's been my morning after-shower pick-me-up. It's a completely different experience and now I think of this stuff as a pretty great part of waking up to the world. The sunny brightness really does resonate in the morning and I'd describe this as something of an optimistic primer for the morning mind. The coolness of the mint notes are much more detectable in cooler weather, oddly enough, than in the heat of the summer. This (and the other Aquas) are currently on sale at the manufacturer's website, which I hope doesn't mean they're going to be discontinued (or, worse, reformulated with lower quality ingredients). I bought a big backup bottle just in cae, because this might not last forever but it's delicious while it lasts.

There are no hard edges with this one. Sadly this phase doesn't last very long, but the ensuing drydown is the vain of a Chanel (I wish I were good enough to explain why, but I'm not!). It also has this impression of a vetiver-y note (it's probably the spearmint), which is the Ellena signature gesture. A very beautiful cologne.

It's a simplistic citrus scent. It smells very natural, I feel like smelling juices from plant stems and the white part on orange peels. It's subtle and doesn't last very long. Safe blind buy. I find it works very well when layered with floral scents (I layered it with Daisy from Marc Jacob and it's beautiful).

omg so good... mouthwatering scent, it's not a floral or aquatic on me...I get a warm inviting, slightly citrussy (but not sour or bitter) verbena ...an imaginary verbena fruit if you want. A very classy and refined spring/summer scent. If you fance the Un Jardin series, you're going to like it.

This is a green citrus - less fruity, more leafy and has a dewy quality to it. Don’t get me wrong — citrus element is strong too, but not at all in the same vein as D&G Light Blue or other classic citrus scents. Remains pretty linear. Except that the mint that appears up front initially soon fizzes down and verbena takes over quite quickly. I don’t get much of woodiness of any kind (was looking forward to that in this blind purchase). Dries to green-musky-light citrus. It has an interesting effect that it both energises (citrus) and also has a calming quality at the same time (verbena, green notes). Simple, no fuss in a good way. Refreshing, unisex. I think it might layer well with other fragrances that are wood dominant. I enjoy it just straight as it is but do miss just a touch of wood.

Bitter, green scent, naturally refreshing mojito. But the "guaiac wood" smells more musky to me.

I was searching for something similar to Fath's Green Water, which is one of my favorite summer fragrances. Specifically, the formulation from the early 2000s, with the square see-through bottle and silver cap. IMO, Millefolia is similar, however, Green Water is smoother and has a cleaner vibe and overall much more pleasant with the woody base. The greenness here is very sharp, soapy, and piercing. The fragrance is also linear, pretty much the same during the entire experience. Imagine taking an outdoor cold water shower with a French Verbana soap surrounded by green grassy meadows. Nice, but not great, I wish it had some woody notes or other spices. Very slightly feminine leaning also. I paid very little for it, and overall the quality/price ratio is excellent. Wouldn't buy it again, but this 50 ml will last me a lifetime anyways. If you like very green, clean, and citrus (with Verbana leading the way) forward fragrances, this should be a good choice.

As others have said, very fresh with a hint of bitterness that takes it in a different direction from your typical lemony scent. I think the galbanum might be quite dominant in this. The spearmint doesn't seem as obvious but presumably contributes more subtly to the stimulating quality this has. I hardly get anything resembling any description of guaiac wood though. Definitely nothing smoky or leathery, maybe a very distant hint of vanilla after everything else has gone, but most of the time it feels like there is no base at all. The result is an impression of extreme lightness: while it has reasonable longevity it is very light on strength and projection for me. I feel like I would tear through a big bottle of this in record time just to be able to notice it on myself. Overall, there's no lack of fresh options in the Couvent cologne line-up, and for both performance and depth I'd be inclined to put my money toward one of the others before this.

I really want to try this one. They didn't have in store when I went by, so I bought another one from the same perfumer, which is not in database. It is called "Anori", it is by Jean-Claude Ellena (one of my fave perfumers, love his work), and belongs to the "Parfums remarquables" range. It smells of both magnolia (white floral) and salty sea water. Wonderful for both day and night, all year round (though maybe not for the hottest summers).

I love the color of the juice and the scent is fantastic, very natural, relaxing and it projects surprisingly. A unisex scent in my opinion. A great cologne smelling grass, spices and nature.

Picked this up in Japan. Loved it at the counter.. not so sure after returning home. Intense leafy green / grassy / mint. Might spray once a month.

Soften citrus and mint. It remains simple and humble. Very fresh scent.
