Tinharé

This is my second bottle of Tinhare. It was one of the first higher-quality perfumes I ever bought, so there is definitely nostalgia involved. Since then I have tried and owned many fragrances, including Instant Crush and Baccarat Rouge 540. At one point I was torn between buying another bottle of Instant Crush or returning to Tinhare. I had almost forgotten how it truly smelled, so today I bought it again. To me, this is the best interpretation of this DNA. It is less sweet and less loud. More controlled. More balanced. I especially love layering with it. Out of all the fragrances built around this style, this is the only one I feel comfortable wearing anytime, anywhere. It is comforting and elegant. It does not rely on saffron, which I usually love as a note, yet on my skin Tinhare simply works better. After exploring many complex and experimental perfumes over the last five years, I find myself appreciating how clearly this one tells its story. It whispers instead of projecting. It draws you in rather than announcing itself. Longevity is decent and the sillage stays intimate. I have managed to find a 75–100ml bottle twice for around 30€, so I do not hesitate the extra spraying. On my skin it opens with something like mandarin peel, slightly bitter and fresh, with a subtle eastern warmth underneath. The vanilla is present but toned down, never sticky. The woods feel lightly smoky, resinous and just a touch incensy. It is not overly sweet, and that restraint is exactly why it works. Sometimes the quieter version of a popular DNA ends up being the most articulate one.

Finally, a decent dupe for BR540. I've been trying Her, Cloud and then stumbled upon this. Smelled it in the stores and was blown away by how similar the smell was. I think Le Couvent really hit the note with the unisex front. The other "dupes" smells too feminine and sweet. Tinharé was stuck in my mind for days. I finally bought it and have been trying it on me. The opening is so good the first seconds. It really smells like BR540 right then. But when I smell my wrists later I detect a different note I didn't noticed before. And it bothered me. Maybe it's the citrus? (Or maybe it was because I put it on after I put on my mango body lotion lol). Anyways after 2-3 hours it went back into being soo delicious. I asked my cousin what she thought about it. She was surprised as she thought it was the regular BR540. I said nope. I've found a new one for much cheaper. ;) She said she smelled it when I came into the room as well so it's nice to hear that it's projecting. Not as strong as BR540 ofc but I didn't expect that anyways. Love it! You should definitely try it.

One of the best Baccarat Rouge 540 dupes on the market. Better than Cloud, Burberry Her, Instant Crush or other similar clones with the same profile scent. Don’t understand how this smells like Baccarat Rouge 540 when they have no notes in common than jasmine. According to the pyramid notes, Tinhare has vanilla, jasmine, mandarin oranges and woody notes. But somehow it’s nearly identical to BR540! Has the same sugary sweetness, airiness, addictive quality like the Francis Kurkdijan one. Lasts well, it’s really intense and strong with moderate diffusion in the air. Very affordable compared to BR540 but with a more modest packaging and presentation. Very underrated and very good value for money! Highly recommend to anyone looking for an affordable and very similar smelling perfume to BR540 if you can find it. Not sure if it’s not discontinued...

This perfume is airy, but deep and complex without being too much. It is classy, elegant, cosy and sensual. I don't really like gourmand perfumes, but was looking for a sweeter and light one, something to pair with Nubica (my all time favourite perfume also from Le Couvent), and Tinharé is exactly what I was looking for. Also, this perfume works perfectly on my skin and lasts all day. It is unisex, but I do feel it opens a bit more masculine, more citrus-y, and a few minutes afterwards it leans more feminine and vanilla-y, in the nicest way possible. Another point I really do appreciate is the fact that the brand is vegan, the prices are more than fair and the packaging is classic and minimalist, but still very pretty and interesting. They are a fresh and nice change from the more commercial and loud perfumes we are so used to, in my opinion.

For me, this is an amazing scent. I smell warm, sweet (note: not overpowering sweet) vanilla and amber notes. I can hardly feel the citrusy note, my guess is that the orange note maybe adds more of a fruity touch than a fresh one. I dont agree that this is similiar to ariana grandes cloud. Cloud is soooo sweet, almost like thoose flower/heart erasers you hade when you were a kid that smelled like artificial candy. And I can detect if someone is wearing it in probably 10 seconds. This scent is way more complex and more luxurious smelling. It is beautiful, sexy and comforting scent that is not too woody or too much vanilla. Just perfect if you want a darker sweet, almost like a mature caramel scent. Ive worked with parfume for many years and would say that this is more unique and different from anything else Ive smelled. Love it!

This has that Baccarat Rouge 540 thing happening with less sweetness and more mandarin and vanilla. Tinhare is gentler, a bit creamier, and less projecting, but that's what I want at this point. I keep going back and forth on whether I want to buy a bottle of the real deal, and though I think it is a STUNNING masterpiece, I get nose-fatigued due to the persistent projection and longevity. I'm also smelling BR 540 and its clones EVERYWHERE, so the intrigue is a bit lost at this point. I have a couple of decants of BR 540 but decided to buy a small bottle of Tinhare for casual wear. It satisfies my BR 540 cravings without the nose fatigue or headache. Projection and longevity are moderate and might be a good alternative for people with sensitive noses.

I have a prejudice against the BR540 dupes since nothing can compare to it, this is how I feel about this fragrance. I was not planning to try Tinhare but the reviews made me feel so curious about it and I decided to give it a try via a decant and my purchase arrived today. I have to confess that I was not expecting to love it this much :S It is a beautiful scent beyond being similar to BR540. I can say that I may prefer Tinhare to BR540 for daily wear since it is very nice and easy to wear. The price is very reasonable as well. It is a great plus that it is cruelty free. And one last thing I want to add, the melody of the name Tinhare is so beautifully in accordance with the scent itself. Perfect

I did not expect to love it so much and yet I do. This is by no means a sweet vanilla scent. It's woody, ambroxan-like, gently spicy and complex. It's as interesting as it is evasive. You catch a sniff of it and want to smell it closer, but when you try it is not where you sprayed it. You blame its poor longevity, but you are wrong- It's your olfactory brain playing tricks on you. Longevity it's allright with this one. Just smell your clothes from that day you worn it and you will see. I am suprised ambroxan isn't listed. I totally get the similarity to BR540- only minus the sweetness. BR540 is burned sugar, cotton candy sweet. Tinharé is way more sophisticated imo.

I’ve had this now for a week and am super happy with it. I have several others from Le Couvent des Minimes and while all are very good, this is my new favorite from them. This is a clear compliment getter. I get stopped by people - usually men - asking what I am wearing hours after application. It could be the sweet and fresh BR540 DNA, but it’s been a while since strangers have approached so consistently to ask about a fragrance. Projection: arms length (give or take). Longevity: One spray lasts around 12 hrs on my skin.

My daughter (11 y.o.) when smelling this one said: this is what I believe Paris smells like. She’s never been there, but I know exactly what she means.. its classy, sweet, sexy... not a girls scent, but a womans.. my favourite, without a doubt. It’s not long lasting on me.. i find myself re-spraying alot during the day. Still, I dont mind because the smell is just the perfect confidence-booster I need to be the strong, independent woman I aspire to be😅😅

This is a really cozy warm scent. I love it. I live in Sweden and this is perfect for the dark and cold fall and winters we have here. In the opening (first twenty minutes) I get more of a masculine vibe from this but when it settles down I am left with a beautiful sweet, powdery and sort of spicy vanilla cupcake with a hint of elegant tangerine. I've layered this with Ariana Grandes cloud a couple of times now and i think it's a magical combo!

This one is a beauty. It opens up with resinous wood and bitter orange peel. It then moves through with a hint of floral, varm vanilla and candied/fruity orange (without the sweetness). The vanilla and more of the jasmine gets more prominent after some time. Its not sweet but it has a rounded warm echo from the vanilla throughout that gets carried by the wood. I would say its unisex but leans slightly more female.

Tinharé by Le Couvent is very similar with the famous luxury perfume Baccarat Rouge 540 by Maison Francis Kurkdjian. The bottle is elegant, the quality high and the price quality ratio very appealing. This is indeed very close to BR540 (I would say 90% close), although I still think that BR540 has a complexity which is pretty much impossible to recreate. I get around 5-7h longevity with this one but the sillage is very soft which perhaps is deliberate to draw people in. For the price, I think this is a great alternative. Just be aware of the gentle sillage!

Extremely close to Red temptation from Zara. Burberry Her and Ariana Grande Cloud has something similar but they are really there own scents, her being prominent on strawberry and cloud being more creamy coconut and lavender. I really like this kind of scent profile, sweet, earthy and woody. Can't say anything about the resemblance with BR540.

Absolutely is a young sister from kurkdjian baccarat rouge 540 I feel like this fragrance so beautiful open very fabulous. baccarat rouge It smells like a Hospital for First smell. And le couvent The first scent is beautiful, sweet Light without a medicine smell. But for me, I love both.It's the smell that makes you look so posh. Love it

Love!! ❤ So cosy and soft, it's the perfect fall and winter perfume. I haven't smellt BR540 so I can't say anything about that comparison but this is VERY similar to Al-haramain Manege Rouge. MR has better performance though, Tinhare lasts maybe 5-6 hours on me with moderate sillage. Unisex, leaning a little bit more feminine imo.

Smells 95% like baccarat rouge 540! BUT i timed it, 4h and 30 min its a skin scent! Damn shame or this shit would be the next BIG seller. But if you dont mind. Go for this 50ml for 50eur..! EDIT! spray 2 sprays on the same spot and it last 9+hours. Crazy

Beautiful woody vanilla, very unisex. Not too feminine or masculine. I wish people would stop calling this a dupe for BR540. They are nothing similar at all, not even a little bit! That said, I love both. But they are completely different.

In love with this! Gourmand-like but a bit more complex than that thanks to the sweet citrus adding a bit of edge. I smell delicious. I can't stop smelling myself. Sprayed it on my shirt.

From the first sniff, it reminded me of BR540. I do not own BR540, so can't tell the precise comparison, but this shares a very similar DNA. Sweet, addictive and I love it. Good sillage.

Tried it one by accident in the store and fell.. And realized it’s a clone of red temptation by Zara. Therefor a BR540 dupe. Smells amazing maybe a hint more of vanilla

So nice. Similar to Ariana Grande Cloud, but more woody. Works better over a sweet body cream and in combo with Ariana Grande Cloud.

Very similar to BR540, but not quite as "thick" and sweet. I like this better.

First off : in in Germany at aprrox. 15C°. Amongst other factors Temperature has a high impact on how we perceive a fragrance. With that said, I initially though of Cloud on first spray. As I go deeper, it doesn't have the tropical feel tho, due the lack of coconut. It's sweet, light, very well blended. You can smell the mandarin orange without the sharpness of a citrus. At the same time you do get the woody notes right from the beginning. Vanilla is more in the supporting role. I don't get jasmine at all. This fragrance is linear to me. There is not much change throughout the wear and stays very close to the skin after a short while. Sillage for the first hour is average. If you walk by someone they might get a whiff of your scent. It's intimate, non offensive and absolutely office safe. In the end it gets a bit musky. Overall I expected this fragrance to be a bit denser, richer with more oomph. Yet it's a lingering, intimate scent that stays approx. 7hrs at most. On clothing an hour or so longer. It's very pleasant and unisex, leaning a bit feminine due to the well blended softness. If your wear this, you feel comfortable and at peace. You don't want too much attention, but like to be perceived. Anyone at any age could wear this. If liked a grown up, less sugary Cloud by Ariana Grande, you will be loving this. Unfortunately I don't own BR540, but on the other hand I wouldn't want to spend like 300 bucks on a perfume that's just OK with me. I got this fragrance for 49€ at 50ml. That's a decent price for a niche perfume by Ellena. So if you get a good price on that, purchase this.

As far as BR540 dupes go, this is the closest one I've personally tried. Tinhare doesn't have the underlying strawberry candy scent that Burberry Her has, and as for Cloud... yeah I just don't get that one at all. Tinhare is pretty damn close, but doesn't have that shapeshifting quality that I personally get with BR540. The opening is a bit vanilla-y, which I don’t experience with BR540. Still, sillage and longevity is great (8+ hours on me), it's cruelty-free (which I have no idea if BR540 is), and 10 ml is 6 euros on Le Couvent's own website. So if you want to smell like Baccarat Rouge but can't afford to, which, relatable - then Tinhare is definitely worth checking out in my opinion.

I've never smelled BR540 so I can't say anything about the comparisons to that. All I know is that I find this to be a very warm, cozy and pleasant fragrance. Slightly woody, slightly sweet, and with a very inviting vanilla note. Basically everything I enjoy in a fragrance. The only thing holding me back from getting this for myself is that I feel like this definitely leans feminine. If I met a woman who was wearing this I would think that she smelled really nice and cozy, in a slightly classy way. In the store where I tried this (and others from the same line), this one was also apparently the favorite of the female store clerk.

This is a great dupe for BR540 by Maison Francis Kurkdjian. I would say its about 80-90 procent similar. Only difference is that this to me is a bit more woody then BR540. And it is not as sweet as Cloud by Ariana Grande. Price point is great. However, as people have said before, the longevity could be a lot better. I would say this last on my skin for about 4 hours maximum. However, just reapply during the day and you can save a lot of money by not buying BR540. BUT, I must say; If you do have the money, just buy BR540 instead. There are several dupes of it, but the original is just the absolute best one.

I have not smelled BR540 og Cloud, and the only vanilla I have to compare it to is TF Tobacco vanille and YSL Librè intense. Those scents are a bit too heavy for daytime, imo. And Tinharé smells nothing like that. This has a bitterness to it, like citrus peel. It's a quite light vanilla to me, nothing overpowering or heavy. It's a fresher vanilla and floral scent, but I don't get woody notes. More green and herbal on my skin. I think it's perfect for daytime - and that's what I wanted. This was a blind buy for me, but I don't know if I would say it is a safe blind buy because of the bitter notes.

Tinharé is a vanilla scent of burnt sugar; it reminded me of the smell of sugar melted with a blowtorch over crème brûlée. We can distinguish the mandarin note which brings a welcome slight bitterness to the whole and a woody touch. Personally, I don't perceive any medicinal smell, it's really this "burnt sugar" and vanilla that stands out the most to my nose. I found it nice even though it was very sweet and for my part, I had no problem with staying power. The sillage, however, is not crazy. I think it's the kind of perfume that's best to smell yourself because the reviews are quite uneven...

Well, I don't know Baccarat Rouge, but I tested Tinhare two times in a week and I want to say that I like it. Very much. It's sweet at the beginning, a bit medicinal in the drydown, but at the same time it's very warm. I sprayed it on my wrist in a store, went home, washed my hands, I cooked, washed again and after 5 hours I still felt it. Just one spritz. I have Porto Bello and Anori, I also tested Valparaiso and Smyrna from the same line, but I have to say that Tinhare on my skin has the best longevity so far. It will be a 100 ml bottle for sure.

It is definitely quite similar to BR540. However it doesn't have such a beast mode as BR540 has. It stays closer to the skin, last shorter and isn't so loud. The opening is not that sweet, it's kind of more complex. The similarities are much more prominent in the drydown, but the medicinal smell some people detect in BR540 is not that pronounced if ever. I have to say I might even prefer it, especially when I feel that BR540 is too much and I want something a bit more subtle. It is a great value for the price as well.

Tinharé is warm, enveloping, abstract, slightly sweet, and sadly for me very, very addictive! Disregarding any similarities to Baccarat Rouge 540, Tinhare is blended so well that it comes off as a singular scent. Don't expect to make out fresh mandarin, a clear vanilla note or jasmine. It can be similar to standing next to a cotton candy machine on the pier of a tropical island, but that's more of a feeling than describing the actual fragrance. You really just have to try it. Lasts for about 4 -5 hours on me.

I love everything about this except the longevity! I’m wondering if I’m just anosmic to the frags in this genre because I’ve tried BRR540 and a few dupes, none of them last long on me and I spray alot on! From the bottle this smells very similar to the opening of BR540, but as soon as I spray it on my skin it turns spicy. It reminds me more of the Extrait de Parfum version of BR540. Longevity on the skin is weak, but it lasts longer on clothes. BR540 is pure class in a bottle; Tinhare may be cheaper, but all things considered, this is one of those situations when the real deal is actually worth the high price tag.

I come back to say take your time before you trust your nose about the longevity. This scent comes and go, is still there when you believe it’s gone, makes a lovely cloud all around you during the whole day (people notice it till late in the evening), and you discover after 2 weeks that a scarf is smelling incredibly good because of 2 forgotten spray you did on a chilly day.

With my body chemistry, this is a close dupe for Escada Magnetism - honestly, this takes me back to 2005/2006 when I couldn't put it down. It was my favorite date night scent and I still go back to it every now and then. Tinhare is dark, sexy, woody and a little sweet - it smells very 2000s so I was surprised it was released in 2019.

This is a better dupe for BR 540 than Cloud and Burberry her. They don't smell like 540 to me but this does. There is a metallic not in all of them that i don't like but I spray this on my scarf and I can smell it for days and everyone around me smell it to. Without the metallic note this would be perfection to me.

This is a vegan BR540. Very nice.

I tried Tinharé before knowing BR540 when I was looking for a vanilla perfume. On paper, the perfume had everything that I was looking for woody yet fresh and sweet (jasmine, wood, vanilla and mandarine) but on my skin I could only smell the saltiness of the aquatic notes. Reading the inspiration of the perfume I can think that the objective was achieved smelling this on my skin is reminding me of a specific moment on the beach in Mexico: I was alone and was waist-deep in the water, drinking a sex-on-the-beach cocktail, the waves were big because a small storm was coming and all my body was soaked by salty-water. So I like this perfume because it reminds me of a good memory but I will not buy a perfume that only smells like salt on me. So try before buying.

Dupe du fameux baccarat rouge 540 , dupe dans le rapprochement olfactif , mais pas dans la qualité du parfum malheureusement. Le baccarat de mfk à une tenue et une longévité incroyable , tinharé lui à une durée de vie médiocre La qualité du jus n'est aussi pas la meme et il manque le safran qui fait que baccarat est aussi beau. Tinharé est un parfum très linéaire , vous sentirez la meme chose du début à la fin , pas d'évolution et c'est bien dommage. La mandarine est douce , non acidulé, parfum très léger de peau . Il ne faut pas s'attendre à un dupe parfait du baccarat , ce n'est qu'une simple déclinaison differente .

I find this a non-sweet, herbal vanilla (as though sage was added). Not woody on me at all, more like in the green territory. So based on this, does not remind me of Cloud (which is extremely sweet) or BR540. There's a perfume I recently tried which is similar to, that is Guess Seductive Noir. The Guess is cheaper though and similar quality. I rarely say this, because I don't believe in gendered labels for perfumes (as the owner of various unisex and male labelled ones) but I find this more suited for men.

Resembles Baccarat Rouge but much more bearable, but at the same time much more forgettable (so much the better compared to Baccarat, which I'd rather forget 😅 ) and poor longevity / projection. Useful details : english is not my mother tongue and my opinions are copied and pasted from my personal notes, written on the fly after several phases of testing (tracking changes for several hours on blotters, then on my skin for a day).

the opening and heart smells like spun sugar which i absolutely adore, but after a few hours, some sour and stale smell comes through and kinda dominates (ruins) the whole scent ☹️ i’ve given it so many tries but i will probably be selling my bottle

Unfortunately this is a skin scent... tried multiples time at Marionnaud... twice on same spot... another day 4 times on the same spot... still no luck with performance... Better save and splurge for a decant of the real deal BR540 in my opinion... UPDATE : I finally received the BR 540 sample from the official website and just smelling my wrist 50 cm away I could tell this was going to be love at first sight and understood in a split second the rave about BR540. Now I am comparing Tinharé and BR540 side by side (one on each arm) and sorry but Tinharé does not compare, it has a harsh kind of stale background note when BR540 is just heaven smooth creaminess. Obviously we can’t all afford BR540 but I wouldn’t buy Tinharé just by smelling it on me (regardless of the clone debate) whereas I am definitely considering saving for BR540 ! If I add up all my 100 designer fragrances, the total cost is huge, and I like them all but I only love and cherish 3 to 5 of them (YES I AM A VERY PICKY PERSON !) so why buying little by little nice fragrances when I could save and buy something that is definitely a big love ! I am a collector and I enjoy the hunting fragrance hobby and testing anything new coming out is part of the adrenaline shot but smelling BR540 just hit something in my brain, I spontaneously thought, this is it I reached my destination, I am gonna lay my luggage here and enjoy the landscape instead of non end travelling from fragrances to fragrances. All in all, Tinharé is not worth it, you can find better fragrances for the same price range. If you want to smell like BR540, buy the real deal ! Either a decant, or a sample from their website or save to get a bottle.
