Verveine d'Été

Open with pretty strong Verbena note that maybe can't smell other notes, but wait a moment, can start feeling that I am in the middle of herb garden. After lemon verbena smelling then start to smell Lavender and light Campher note mixing with Verbena, then Thyme and Sage are joyning to the ending. This is just like summer herb garden. Close my eyes and I can imagine summer breeze, sunshine, sounds of bees, white cloud like cotton candy. Beautiful and poetic.

You can almost smell a garden growing inside this bottle. Tender greens elevated by an herbaceous brightness. The lavender combined with basil almost comes off as peppery and the citrus a mix of verbena and yuzu. This one is just a stunner, green like I’ve never quite experienced before.

This is a beautiful, vivid verbena scent. It's very uplifting and refreshing and is perfect for summer. I loved how citrussy and zingy it is.

A walk through the Summer Garden, located in the Peterhof Palace in Saint Petersburg, is the starting point for the creation of Verveine d'Été, a fragrance that brings a fresh look to the Verveine perfume, created in 1978 by Yuri Gutsatz. To portray the invigorating scent of this garden, notes of basil from Egypt, verbena, lemon and bergamot from Italy, vetiver from Haiti, eucalypt from China and oakmoss were used. Verveine d'Été is citric and limpid. Joining the lemon with the verbena is like waiting for an almost astringent result. Particularly I like this smell, but many people can not withstand scents with the verbena note very present, because of the strong connection they make with the smell of some cleaning products or those car fresheners. On the skin, there is no miraculous evolution. The scent opens with a lot of citric content and walks towards a mossy, almost fougère base. And when applied, it exhales very powerfully, by the way. Within the current line of Le Jardin Retrouvé, I would say that Eau des Délices functions as the youngest brother of the citrus family, while Verveine d'Été is the middle brother and Citron Boboli, the eldest. And even being a perfume full of more volatile ingredients, it has good durability on the skin. On mine, for example, it survived longer than Sandalwood Sacré. Verveine d'Été is unisex and fits with those warmer summer days, as well as spring nights. If the garden of the Palace of Peter, the Great (Peter I of Russia) possesses this scent, then it is worth a walk there. It lifts any spirit or mood!

Perfect fragrance for summer if you like verbena. Very natural and fresh scent, 100% unisex. The quality of ingredients is really good. My feeling: you are in the middle of verbena in a real garden, the morning. It is a linear perfume. I cannot smell lavender or oak moss for information. Good for all ages (kid, adult, seniors). 7/10, very good job! --> In this brand, for summer, I prefer Verveine d'été. This is probably my favorite from the trio of citrus samples Le Jardin Retrouve sent me (first time customers can get a set of three free samples, check it out!). The Verbena + Lemon + Vetiver is a lovely and aromatic combination. As with the others, this one smells completely natural. It stays on my skin for about 4 hours. Fresh and zesty!

This opens with a fresh and airy aromatic blend of verbena and slightly sweet lemon slices. This scent is effortless, airy, and light. The heart is green and freshly sweet with some basil and floral lavender. The dry down is a more full bodied citrus with the addition of some dry vetiver and oakmoss. I enjoyed this one

Smells like really good lemon verbena soap. The kind you would find in a fancy powder room or a luxury kitchen. Not really a perfume scent to me. Would make a great candle. My very sweet grandma loved it though so I passed the sample along to her.

I have many lemon and verbena scents in my wardrobe. This is by far the brightest but also most dry.

Sprite and cat piss! I sampled this on my skin that just came in from the hot sun, stressed out from running errands and trying to beat traffic. I was so turned off. The next day I was more relaxed and perhaps my skin chemistry was more attuned to experience fragrance...so at 2nd try, the cat piss was no more but the sharp green tinge was very much there.

this opens super green and herbal as one might imagine. i get mostly verbena, basil and lemon with a small hint of lavender and vetiver. also something in here smells like chamomile to me, when i inhale deeply. the chamomile part gets kind of hay like and offputting. it leans a bit masculine and my skin seems to eat it up. not my favorite.

I consider myself a summer person. The sun makes me feel complete, I love to spend my days at the sea and I dream that one day I will live in a beach house, with a hammock to spend my free time in, while reading my favourite book. If I could choose a smell for this dream, I would pick something refreshing, zesty but yet somehow complicated. Verveine D’Ete manages to be exactly what I imagine. It is the kind of perfume that I would love to smell around me, rather than on myself because on my skin it becomes abit masculine, but this doesn not affect it’s beauty. The vetiver and the citrusy notes stand out for me, and they make this perfume sparkle just like water drops in the sun!

Must be my skin or my nose but at first spray all I get is lemon candy. Not even a nice fresh lemon. It's that artificial smell of lemon hard candy. As it was drying down it started to smell like Mrs. Myers Lemon Verbena all-purpose cleaner. In the final drydown I'm finally getting the vetiver and oakmoss. This is a strong pass for me. In the end it was OK but not worth smelling like a cleaning product until the dry-down when there are so many other better scents out there

A fresh, crisp herb garden after a strong verbena onset, but there’s a prominent metallic edge that I don’t love as much. Middle is pure, true verbena plus basil and herbal lavender; the dry down is herbal like an old style European.cologne It’s like a witch’s garden in high summer, but the metallic note is too strong for me to want to wear it, almost like it’s disagreeing with my chemistry. But the pure herb garden freshness of it is quite pleasant.

One of my favourites from the brand - beautiful not simplistic verveine, which sounds "classic", thanks to great job guys did reconstructing 1975 formula. It has lots of nuances, herbal and oakmoss base. I used to think of verveine as something easily interchangeable between the brands, like neroli, but that one turned to be really special to me
