Herbe Naturelle

This is very different from anything else I have in my collection and it’s unique which is why I love it so much. It’s one of my favorites, even with it being such a simplistic scent. This smells like bright, fresh, juicy pear and grass...that’s it! It’s so lively though and rejuvenating and feels youthful. It also kinda smells like clean soap...it’s very odd that I would like that because i’m really not a big fan of “clean” and simple fragrances... I am normally drawn to more complex sweeter ones but this is an exception for me!! Actually it’s because of this perfume that I seem to gravitate towards finding more green fragrances lately. This is like if you took freshly watered blades of grass you’ve been taking care of and some ripe pears you picked off of your own tree and juiced them up together! Vibrant :) I have never smelled the OG Gap grass but I can imagine it being a perfect dupe for it like other’s have mentioned. I have the newer formulation of that and at first it smells like this...then it turns floral where as this scent is tride and trude grass all the way. It gives me the imagery of being really little and playing out in the grass while the warm sun is shining and then coming into a fresh air conditioned kitchen grabbing a cold carton of apple juice from the fridge and smelling both the grass that had rubbed on my skin and the juice I started drinking at the same time. I wish it wasn’t discontinued! I was lucky enough to grab two bottles of it on ebay. Le monde gourmand is my favorite perfume brand but the problem with that is they discontinue pretty much everything after a year or two...ugh. But anyway yep it’s a love!

Do you love fresh grass scents? Well sorry because this has been discontinued. Not surprised because LMG is a gourmand branded line. It’s so good. Praying I’ll come across a bottle at TJMaxx. It’s fresh & green but still sweet which is the perfect combo in my opinion. Edit/update: People were saying it’s a dupe for Gap Grass so I Recently tried the NEW Gap Grass & I still like this better. The new Grass leans way too masculine for me.

This is my first review on Fragrantica, because I finally found my Gap Grass dupe! This smells exactly how I remember from the 90s (fresh-cut grass with a little fruit), and I LOVE IT.

This is an almost astringent and acrid grass scent with a very slight edge of something fruit-like. I do get the slight pear note. Together with the grass note I think it smells more like watermelon rind. It's pretty fresh and straightforward. I never wear it alone but it's a good one to layer on top of sweeter fruit fragrances to make them feel fresher and lighter for summer.

I bought this solely because of the review below. It really does smell like Gap Grass... the old one not the new version you can get now.

I've never smelled the original Gap Grass. This smells pear forward and shampoo-like to me. I don't get a lot of grass up close. Editing to say after a few days it started smelling really grassy on me. I just wish there was no fruit here or somewhat less prominent.

It wasnt until I owned Herbe Naturelle that I could pick apart my vintage Gap Grass and start to see how dated the greenery in it was. I would have never been able to notice that until smelling them side by side. I truly am impressed with this offering from LMG. Aside from the very cheap feeling packaging, they did such a good job here. And I like that we have an eau de parfum concentration because that just raises the experience a full notch or two. The comparisons are certainly justified. HN goes a bit sweeter and probably just a touch more green/herbal? Whereas, the Gap fragrance is fruitier (melon?) and the grass note comes off as ever so slightly damp and dewy. 30mls of this stuff ran me $26 and some change. I asked their customer support team if we might see this one show up again at some point and their response was simply, 'this was a limited edition scent'.

I’m beginning to reconsider the reviews of others in this site, I purchased this based on the great reviews. I realize everyone ole factory is different. I love green fresh fragrances. The pear scent is overpowering - I get very little grass scent. If anyone is interested in buying this fragrance from me, please let me know. I already own too many mistakes I don’t need another one. This is definitely not for me.
