Lait de Coco

I got the jumbo size at TJ Maxx for $16; I really didn’t want to buy a perfume but once I sprayed it on, I kept sniffing it and couldn’t put it back. I had a headache and it didn’t make it worse which also got my attention (things like Sol de Janeiro nauseate me). This is my first Le Monde Gourmond fragrance and although it’s been out for 10 years, I don’t think I could have really appreciated until now. All the coconut fragrances I’ve tried are headache-inducing and the lactonic ones smell curdled. But this...........this is perfect. It really occupies its own space. It’s creamy without being overly sweet, and honestly smells very “real” if not realistic to my nose. It’s pretty linear but still manages to be interesting, a little mysterious — not flirty but not serious. It’s winter now and I’ve had it for only a week but it’s already my go-to. It layers well but I love it on its own and don’t have problems with longevity if I moisturize. I find that it fades a little right after but it comes back once it settles in. I don’t think it necessarily projects but I have no issue catching whiffs for hours if I put it on my neck/chest; it sits close to the skin but floats in the sweetest little cloud. It is so comforting and I have already worn it to bed, to wfh, church, and a formal dinner. She’s versatile! I realized today that it smells like a vanilla ice cream cone from chick fil a tastes. 🙂↕️ I have a habit of returning nearly every single FB I buy impulsively, but I’m keeping this one — and would buy a back up if I see it again.

A damn good bedtime and relaxation fragrance. I bought this at marshalls in a sample set for about...12 dollars I believe? I'm super glad I did because WOW Lait de Coco did not disappoint. Smells exactly like a milky coconut that's light, soapy, airy, and sweet. It's like warm milky bath water, it's just so smooth, creamy, and good!! It smells like babies and kittens in a way too?? It's just the perfect scent to be unoffensive. This perfume is so so light that people with chronic migraines like me will not have to worry about having a headache after spraying. I use this as an everyday and it's the only perfume I can enjoy without giving myself any type of headache. This is a godsend. Although... The longevity on this is god awful, expect an hour or two of wear before reapplying. And I mean it, it's not even that you gone nose blind, it's just that the entire scent has disappeared. It is also an extremely intimate scent, which is why I recommend it better for the workplace or the bedroom. You will NOT have a scent trail from this perfume, sorry :( I been trying to refresh my collection for a while now to reevaluate the notes I love, and this was amazing to just restart that journey all over again. This is an amazing base if you're looking to just take a step back from your already existing collection and rediscover why you enjoy perfumes and other fragrances so much.

This is literally one of the cheapest perfumes in my collection but My God is it everything I've been looking for. It's milky, fresh, creamy, and the coconut isn't giving tropical or sunscreen. It's not overly sweet at all. To be honest it reminds me of coconut scented lotion or shampoo, but I love smelling clean so it's a plus. I could go to sleep in this, I could wear this to work, school, to run errands. It's just light and beautiful and I love her. Super easy to layer and play around with it since it's a pretty linear clean coconut vanilla scent. HOWEVER with all that being said, I could douse myself in this and after like 1-2hrs it's totally gone. That might just be me going noseblind to it though because if I take off the shirt I was wearing that day and put it up to my face I can definitely pick it up. I've had much more expensive perfumes where this same thing happens though, so with this price point idec.

This scent is so smooth and lactonic on me it's gorgeous. It has a good amount of freshness from the bergamot which makes it a perfect fragrance for day-to-day wear. For the price this is a beautiful coconut scent that I will be keeping in my growing collection till it's gone. For longevity purposes I won't be repurchasing though. Updated: I lied... I need this one in my collection. The bergamot and smooth coconut are so delicate and nice. I have started layering this one with Qaed Al Fursan Unlimited and it really does make for a wonderful coconut escape otherwise I have small bottles I can decant some into for day to day reapplication which is what I have been doing when I want this fragrance for the day. 100% an easy reach and if you havent tried it yet it definitely seems like a safe blind buy for fans of citrus, coconut or otherwise just really delicate and lactonic scents.

I have the "hair & body" spray version of this scent, so my review is based off that formula. THIS is the scent that got me to like coconut! I love a good fresh aquatic scent and this definitely has that freshness to it, thanks to the bergamot, but it's also milky without being too nutty. This performs great as a hair mist and alright as a body mist. I almost wish it projected further, HOWEVER, this scent makes the PERFECT coconut base for layering. So far my favorite scents to layer this one with have been: Sunkissed Hibiscus by Nest Hypnotic Poison by Dior ***Crystal Noir by Versace (TRUST ME)*** and even Coconut Waters by Eos for a super safe, everyday, fresh out the shower coconut effect. PLEASE, someone else try these combos so I know I'm not crazy (especially the coco/crystal noir combo, it's so good)

Sigh. I caved and purchased a jumbo bottle at Marshall's for about $17 after running out of my travel spray from a sampler set. The scent on skin is fleeting as many point out, but it's still a must-have in my collection. It's one of my favorite fresh scents to wear whenever I want something clean and breezy. The scent is reminiscent of Y2K coconut salon shampoo vs. coconut sunscreen and isn't overly sweet. It's also one of the rare coconut-forward scents that's suitable to wear year-round IMO. I pair it with the matching body mousse which you can also find at discount stores for under $10, and it definitely makes the scent more pronounced and longer lasting! ** Update 12/10 - This also pairs beautifully with VS' Bare Vanilla!

I'm not too keen on coconut fragrances but I LOVE THIS. It opens up with that creamy soft coconut (no sunscreen vibes or tropical). It is very inoffensive and gives clean girl vibes. I wouldn't classify this as an gourmand in the traditional sense, it leans more clean but not in a Ambrette, Musk skin scent or even soapy kind of way. The magic lies in the drydown. After like an hour or so it transforms in the most beautiful vanille-y scent. It kind of reminds me of Impulse Vanilla Kisses (iykyk), powdery but not in bad grandma or vintage/baby powder kind of way. I would argue in the best way possible even, just like sweet soft still creamy but also powdery. Very addictive :) If you try definetly wait for the drydown

This is such a delicious, clean, sweet, creamy coconut scent. It doesn't pull suncreamy on me and it's not ultra-gourmand, but it is so perfect for those days where you want to smell fresh, like shampoo, with a little bit of sweetness, It layers amazingly with Cheirosa 39 and with Lush's Sticky Dates but is great on its own too. I like to layer it with Kayali Utopia Vanilla Coco to amp up the creamy coconut milk scent. The longevity isn't brilliant, but it's so affordable that I don't mind reapplying. I think the bottle is super cute and I like the opaque liquid, it's like a little bottle of coconut milk! I 100% would repurchase this and feel that it's a safe blind buy if you like coconut scents.

Glad I got this. Creamy milky meat of a coconut if you can’t imagine that think dry coconut shavings in a pantry, vry yummy perfect for dry climates without a sunscreen smell. I didn’t smell any alcohol which makes this a great deal price wise however after 4 hours it starts to remind me of Diptyque l’eau Papier with a sweeter cornflower and that’s starting to make me feel a little crazy. Stays close to skin, will need to reapply. The liquid being white is vry fun to me update: i've gotten used to the scent which means i can only smell it for 1 hour now, i'm absolutely devastated, still the most pleasant coconut i will be spraying this however long i need to

Clean coconut spa smell. People have mentioned OGX or other body washes, but if to me, the best description is a realistic coconut sugar scrub. I do get the slightest bergamot note in the beginning, I do not get vanilla praline. The bergamot does make the opening of this perfume land in the fruity category, but not tropical fruity. The fruitiness eventually dies out to just coco sugar, but it never gets "cozy" in the way that spicy, amber, vanilla perfumes can be. I believe this reads to some people as cozy because its soft, inoffensive, and intimate in silliage.

I saw the method body wash on sale so I decided to buy this because I heard it's the EXACT same scent- and it is indeed. This is a my-skin-but-better perfume. My friend who gets migraines from perfumes is obsessed with this. I got a lot of compliments from people after wearing this- they said it's not an overwhelming scent but it gets their attention. It reminds me of sunbathing on an island- very clean, coconutty with a sweet vanilla dry down. It's unlike any other perfumes I've had before and it is now my signature scent.

Ok so this is one of my favorite scents ever. I am a coconut lover and Lait de Coco does creamy coconut PERFECTLY. I have never not gotten a compliment when I wear it or show it to people because it's a stunning coconut that's not overpowering or basic Pina colada style coconut. However it does not last long so I bought the little carry on/travel size because I love it that much and it's worth it to me. The 1 OZ is only $25, it's at least worth a trip to Ulta to go smell it.

I bought the hair/body mist version of this about a year ago and it has been my most worn fragrance ever since. I am obsessed with the scent of coconut, especially the fresh shampoo type of coconut (vs fruity sunscreen coconut). This one is sweet and soft but it is the closest affordable fragrance I have found that just is pure coconut. It is also the most inoffensive fragrance ever. Really blends into the skin nicely. I do wish it lasted longer.

The struggle to find this gem from the Philippines was real, but thankfully, I found a store with the last one in stock. Took a risk with a blind buy, and I'm happy to say, no regrets here. I am looking for a coconut that leans more on the sweet vanilla side rather than floral and citrusy and this one nails it. It's straightforward, and you can definitely layer this with other coconut and vanilla scents <3

This is the most perfect coconut perfume. (I despise coconut that is just sunscreen!!!) it smells just like a regular dove bar soap mixed with coconut (I don’t know where people are picking up floral from this?). I would love it a lot more if the longevity wasn’t so bad. It lasts a total of five minutes (if even that). I’ve repurchased this perfume (in the jumbo size now!) and also the body mist.

I actually kind of adore this scent. No, the projection and longevity are not great, but for $25 I do not mind respraying throughout the day. I also use this fragrance to layer with other perfumes to add a hint of coconut milkiness. This smell unlocked a very specific scent memory for me (Ritz Carlton hotel lobby in Singapore, for some odd reason), so it holds a very dear place to me personally.

What a beautiful, simple coconut scent. It’s creamy, nutty, sweet and soft. I’m packing this is my bag for my upcoming summer holiday for sure! The only downside is that it sits quite close to the skin and doesn’t project much so I can only see myself wearing this in the day time. However, it’s a great layering scent to add a coco, milky element to a more elevated, night time scent. Beautiful!

Smells like an inexpensive and watered-down milky coconut shampoo, but not in a bad way. It's a light and fresh coconut scent that I can see working year-round vs. a sunscreen scent that's more suitable for the hottest days of the year. Projection is unfortunately non-existent on both skin and clothing, but it's a nice and inoffensive fragrance to spray on before running errands or bedtime.

A light, refreshing coconut milk scent. I drink coconut milk almost daily and it smells exactly like that + conditioner. I haven't used ogx coconut line in ages, but I feel like it's a similar vibe. Clean and lightly sweet, nothing sharp or headache inducing at all. It lasts decently on clothing, and it's almost impossible to over spray. Absolutely love!

I love this sooo much. This is the perfect clean coconut. I’m obsessed and I wish I didn’t wait so long to get this. If this was stronger it would be my signature scent but it just doesn’t last long. I layers with lotions and oils and that helps but not for long. This is like the nicest coconut oil conditioner you’ve ever owned it’s so so nice. 💕

Fantastic milky vanilla coconut scent, slightly floral as well. Not at all beachy which I'm happy for, a great milky coconut scent for everyday wear. I love the bergamot and milk combination. Updating from a few months later, it smells warmer and more like a grandma's bathroom. I'm less keen on it now but it's still lovely.

Like if u cutt open an actual coconut , the milk its kinda watery, and it's like actual raw coconut nectar, I'm also super obsessed with the color of the juice , like actual coconut milk, love that fraise fouette and this one have that milky juice , it's so pretty to me I want more perfumes that have a milky liquid .

This is my second Le Monde Gourmand fragrance and so far, I love it. There's a fresh, almost parsley like smell in the beginning(probably the bergamot) which paired with the creamy coconut smell isn't bad. It's actually really pleasant. Also this scent pairs well with doves coconut and vanilla whole body deo.

I don’t usually go for coconut fragrance but I got this as part of a gift set sampler. What a surprise, Lait de Coco was my favorite! I get clean coconut ice cream. 💛 It can get too sweet if you overspray and it doesn’t last long! But it’s still great if you don’t mind reapplying it often! Lol!

this has been my go to scent for a while, it is a very subtle scent and is not overbearing whatsoever. you have to be close to someone to smell it. i’d definitely recommend this fragrance if strong scents can trigger headaches. only downside is that it does not last very long on the skin

What can I say? This smells really yummy and coconutty to me. I love a good gourmand with coconut. However they can be cloying, plasticy, and synthetic aka VS Coconut Passion. This one is deep, sweet, slightly spiced and very nice on the wallet.

I have been craving a coconut scent for a while now and when I got the discovery set I was excited to try it. It's all I wanted it to be. Milky coconut that sits close to the skin and doesnt smell like sunscreen. For the price its a great buy!

I HATE sunscreen coconut scents but this is like a nice coconut water that has been mixed with condensed milk. Absolutely lovely, no chemical smell and doesnt make me smell like rotten coconut after an hour like most coconut scents

These Le Monde Gourmand fragrances open strong and disappear 3 min later, except the Hair and Body mist when I put it on my hair. This one is pleasant, and smells like coconut but no sillage or longevity pass those 3min.

My favorite beach scent! My daughter and I both wear this when we’re headed to a pool and it smells like sweetened, condensed coconut milk. Gorgeous scent with moderate projection and silage.

I work in a smoothie bowl shop and we have huge 30lb bags of unsweetened coconut flakes. This smells like those coconut flakes. It's creamy and sweet and makes me want to eat more coconut.

DO NOT buy the hand cream of this I love this fragrance as a perfume and hair/body mist but the hand cream version smells horrible like straight up Play-Do with no coconut :(

This probably my favorite of the sampler sets I have, a super light and wearable coconut milk scent. Beachy and office safe if you don't overspray.

Smells like raw coconut meat with some sweetness added to it. Delicious!!! Also good for layering with just about any other perfume!

I'm not much of a coconut fan. I remember I only bought this because it's affordable, it looked good and I thought I needed a coconut scent since I didn't have any in my collection. I sort of regretted it because the longevity felt non-existent to me on the first few wears and the coconut smelled kind of synthetic, so it sat on my shelf for a year, unused. I've revisited this today and I think I have a different opinion now. Still not my favorite and definitely hasn't changed how I feel about coconut, however, today it smells more nutty/creamy and I very much appreciate how it's dried down. It's also 100°F here in TX and so maybe the heat brings out these accords. I can still perceive the slightly synthetic coconut but it's in the background. Smells warm/nutty on skin & fresh/coconutty on clothes. No sunscreen smell detected in this, so thats a plus! The bergamot is really not there so if that's what you're after, this is not it. Definitely a summer scent, will try in the winter because I think it may just work beautifully layered under other nutty perfumes. Light, could be an everyday scent and feels more like a daytime scent. Also super affordable, but will I be buying again ? Probably not, still not a coconut fan. If you are though, give this a try! *** Longevity was quite there for me today, lasted well over 3 hours , only reapplied once throughout the day. Maybe this macerated over time, but it works pleasantly now.
