Latte D'Or

My nose isn’t getting what the other reviewers are experiencing. I seem to be in the minority because to me there is no spice - there is nothing about this that screams (or even hints at) cold weather. Maybe I’ll pick up those notes when colder weather hits again. Instead, I get a very delicious tropical juice mixed with a hint of sunscreen. This will definitely be a beach scent for me. I cannot stop sniffing myself when I wear this and am looking forward to trying it out in the humid FL weather. I think this would pair well with “standard” beach scents - Beach, Beach Walk, Soleil Blanc, Bronze Goddess, Clinique Lily of the Beach, Vacation, etc. Although the sillage is mild, I do get a solid 6(ish) hours with this one (which was better than I expected since I’ve never had a long-lasting experience with any other scents from this brand).

I am obsessed with this perfume. I love how it’s very milky but not that sweet, and it’s the ginger note that really has me hooked. That spiciness just elevates this simple perfume so much. I’ve been wearing this almost everyday with the EOS Fresh and Cozy lotion and Fine’ry’s Without a Trace body mist and I LOVE IT. Just so warm and cozy while still leaning a bit unisex and gentle enough for the office. Doesn’t last that long but I do not mind reapplying it at all. My Fall and Winter holy grail and I wish so bad it came in the jumbo bottle size.

I agree with Melii_PerfumeCollector... It is 1:1 creamy chai latte to the point where you could almost think you spilled one all over you and decided you loved how you smelled and didn't wash it off. It's cozy, warm and inviting but very photo-realistic and ultra gourmand! Perfect for winter or fall... getting cozy by a fire, on a ski trip or locked away in a cabin for the weekend! I can't stop smelling my hand where I test sprayed it because it's that yummy. Like all the other creamy scents from this brand, it is sticky at 1st on skin for sure.

Milky, creamy, and sweet. Most of the other fragrances in this line are too sickly sweet for me. This really stands out and is very unique in my collection even though I tend to gravitate toward milky and spicy scents.

Mmmm this smells like a spiced vanilla latte. It’s super sweet and the liquid is almost like opaque and somewhat thick, it doesn’t spray very nicely but the smell is to die for. If you like gourmands you’ll love this.

This smells like tropical Christmas to me. I primarily get the warm spices followed by a fresh, fruity lactonic vibe from the coconut milk. The softness of the sandalwood rounds out the rest of the scent for a nice finish. Like someone else said on here, the drydown smells very much like the initial spray, just softer. The ginger is heavily spiced and I get some cinnamon in there. The coconut milk smells light and natural, not sunscreeny or synthetic at all. I bought this perfume because someone described it as a warm hug and it definitely delivers. This feels to me like a budget-friendly winter scent that is akin to Mugler's alien goddess, just with no floral notes and more spice.

I bought DUA's Golden Spice Latte and it is like Le Monde Gourmand's Latte D'Or mixed with Tonka Reminiscence. It has the warm, woody and balsamic oriental base from the tonka-vanilla-benzoin combo, similar to the warm tonka-vanilla-ambery labdanum base of Tonka Rem, minus the churchy effect of the latter. The benzoin in Golden Spice Latte along with the turmeric give a sweet honey-like and anise soft spicy impression of Tonka Rem without the heavy cloves that add to the churchy vibe of the latter. No tobacco effect there no cloves so Golden Spice Latte is a lighter scent. Golden Spice Latte smells like herbal tea at first and this quality becomes its distinct DNA throughout. It is intensely like Latte D'Or is, a sweet spicy kinda herbal tea scent, like Latte D'Or always smelled like a milky spicy herbal tea to me, but Golden Spice Latte has an intense honey-like sweetness like Tonka Rem has along with its oriental balsamic base so it is better than Latte D'Or. Also Golden Spice Latte has a soft spicy sweetness similar to Flavia's Vanilla Tobacco due to the vanilla-tonka and spices of the latter, but Vanilla Tobacco is too heavy in the cloves-cacao and tobacco department so it deviates from the character of Golden Spice Latte which has no tobacco note or scent. As I said the turmeric throughout in Golden Spice Latte, gives a ginger-tea impression pretty identical to Latte D'Or's crude ginger milky tea character, more intense, balsamic/oriental than the latter given the benzoin's honey-like sweetness and warmth. In Golden Spice Latte there is no strong milky element - no coconut there - while Latte D'Or is very milky and more plain like simple herbal ginger tea - no complexity. Golden Spice Latte still has some ''latte'' quality to it maybe from the vanilla, and along with the intense aromatic soft spicy, herbal vein from the turmeric, it's like a sweet turmeric tea. Golden Spice Latte lasts forever on me and projects amazingly. It also does not feel too oily or the notes muted or drowned in the opening, unlike some other very oily DUAs. Some people list Turmeric Latte by Lush as similar to Tonka Rem, and Golden Spice Latte is an impression of Turmeric Latte, so I may assume that Turmeric Latte may be likewise similar to Latte D'Or too.

The coconut and ginger translate to a very soft nutmeg/cinnamon-like spice with a contrasting milky base on my skin. At first this combo seemed weird to me for a perfume, being a crude scent similar to herbal tea with milk, but I got used to it and I like the aromatic ginger with the deeper milky fresh coconut. I wouldn't have guessed the coconut, but my nose can detect it behind the softy sweet earthy ginger spice. The ginger here is not sour and not too sharp peppery, but it is still pretty fizzy. It's smoothed out by the coconut while progressively unleashing a fizzy aromatic lemony-peppery earthy spice, in a soft milky way. It is very aromatic almost like cinnamon, but not as spicy-sweet. I drink ginger herbal tea with some milk almost every day so I know the smell. The whole scent is pretty linear on me, but it becomes more woody and aromatic. It is a soft spicy herbal ginger tea type of scent with some earthy tone to it and its deep milky coconut becomes a powdery lactonic smooth base along with the sandalwood. It is like ginger tea with some milk in it, since it has the smooth freshness from the coconut and the ginger's fresh spice. Le Monde Gourmand's coconut note is always fresh, smooth and very milky - I detect some Lait De Coco fresh milky coconut in this. It is not a vanilla-sweet scent, and not a sweet pumpkin spice type of scent. I smell NO pumpkin in this. So to me it's nothing like VS Basic Pumpkin - I compared them side by side - and far from the heavy unisex balsamic boozy toasted Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte. VS Basic Pumpkin smells like a lighter and musky but still balsamic BBW White Pumpkin and Chai mixed with Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte without the heavy unisex latte effect and the heavy toasted smokiness of the latter. Basic Pumpkin becomes very cupcake-like with a licorice-almond effect at the drydown similar to Simply Pink Pink Sugar Aquolina. Again, Latte D'Or is not a sweet pumpkin spice buttery scent, but rather a fresh like tea ethereal milky herbal and earthy soft spicy ginger scent. It's a unique scent and very crude and unusual, it doesn't smell like a perfume. I wear it to bed and around the house in the late spring, summer and fall.

So, I want to start by saying this scent is not my favorite however, it is cheap and good for what it is. Available in most urban outfitters, its an analog for the scents at H&M or Marshalls but for gen z. I am attracted to the sandalwood base mainly. Sandalwood makes everything its in smell earthy and warm. Mix this with a lavender oil to tamper the tinge of cheapness that is a product of something I cannot put my finger on. The cheapness in question being an old ladylike powdery quality between the ginger notes. When not directly putting your nose on the scent, the powdery-ness is not as detectable. Add lavender oil and maybe you could wear it on a date - go from a 4 to a 5/10. All in all, not a go to scent. Definitely something to wear to a family gathering to get compliments from your aunts. 4/10

Smells exactly like a chai latte I don’t know how it manages to do that but the ginger with the other notes smells spicy and milky, I also get cinnamon. I hate ginger but this is sweet, it’s not a pickled astringent ginger. It’s very milky and just condensed coconut but you definitely get a chai vibe.

It's identical to Chai Epice, I don't know why that suggestion was downvoted, maybe just people struggling to cope with the fact that this company just sold you the same perfume twice? There is not a single difference between them, except for Chai Epice's chestnut colour and Latte D'Or's milky beige

Sweet tropical coconut milk. Reminds me of horchata from the creaminess and spice. At first sniff I loved it so I bought it, but the sweetness just absolutely overpowered everything else and gave me a headache so unfortunately it was a return for me.

Maybe coconut? Smells like pineapple to me.

I had been wanting to get my nose on this since I really like lactonic scents. Unfortunately, they are always fifty fifty for me. I like lactonic like Commodity Milk. I hate Ellis Brooklyn's Vanilla Milk (for reference). To me, it smells like spoiled/rancid milk. Sour. I was excited my local Marshalls had this. That excitement was short lived, as this does the same thing as Vanilla Milk. Rancid/Sour like scent. Bummer

This smells like a nail salon. Acetone and cheap room spray.

Mmmm - this is a cup of cozy warmth! All notes are present here: ginger, sandalwood, and coconut milk. It smells very "chai"-esque, but especially milky with a ginger kick. The coconut milk base keeps it creamy but also a bit earthy and refreshing (as real coconut milk has a hint of "green" scent), which is the perfect counter balance to the spicy ginger. The dry down comes quickly (within 30 minutes), and is a softened version of the opening - creating a personal scent bubble of warm musk with not much projection. The softness works well for this blend, as anything stronger for much longer than the opening would be a chokehold (given the ginger spice). This would be perfect for a rainy fall day, or a snowy evening. The creamy color to the juice is also a fun touch. Great little cheapie!

To my nose, this perfume smells like a chai tea latte with milk in it. It’s very gourmand and a little spicy. Definitely feminine and better for evenings and colder seasons. I personally like to spray this on after a hot shower in the winter! I’ve had it for a long time so i’m not sure if it matured on its own (I haven’t sprayed it in a long time), but for that price, you can’t complain!
