Miel Bourbon

i was surprised at how much i like this scent, it's so gorgeous, warm, honeyed, a little bit boozey, and almost candylike. just absolutely lovely. i've already used up a good chunk of the bottle despite it being less than a week.. but i blame that on the lack of staying power that i've noticed consistently with le monde gourmand. it feels more like a heavy body mist than a perfume, for sure. it sort of burns on my skin, but weirdly i enjoy that sensation because it complements the feeling of the scent for me.. lol. i can't say i like the dry down as much as the initial scent but it's still nice and warm this scent along with fraise fouettée are my absolute favorites from what i've tried of le monde gourmand, and even compared to other perfumes i have, they're amazing but i'm left wanting a lot more when the scent is gone within the hour, even on my clothes. i'm going to be looking for anything similar that has better lasting power but i'll still be wearing this and reapplying anyway :p

I thought this was going to smell like dude. But no it's beautiful. It smells like a tropical version of an old fashioned. It's juicy and flowery and tiny bit boozy. Wonderful

To me, this smells like iced sweet tea with drizzle of honey in it. I don’t get any of the bourbon notes really. I absolutely love wearing this for the summertime

Really delicious honey booze-y smell. Not a super complex smell, but still worth the wear. It reminds me of a warm late summer/early fall southern evening out in the country, drink in hand. It is a very sweet smell, so it seems to lean more feminine Not an everyday wear for me but a seasonal fav

I definitely perceive the unlisted peach note that others are finding, but as someone not normally drawn to peach in fragrance, I actually enjoy it. Not getting any sick smell, thankfully. The honey note comes through, but not much booziness. Wears nicely so far in late summer to early fall.

There’s a puke smell in the opening, but as it dries down, I like it. It’s a warm slightly powdery, lightly smoky dry down. No offensive patchouli here. I probably don’t like it enough though to spend $16 on it. If it was marked down on clearance maybe I’d spring for it.

kind of smells like vomit?? maybe i just think booze smells like vomit because of being a College Student at one point- but like it really just smelled like throw up. My partner liked it on me- but I couldnt do it. I blind bought it, but bought it resale so it was cheap. Whatever

I was looking for a boozy fragrance and this one sounded amazing. The notes seemed perfect for me and there were lots of great reviews on TikTok, so I did a blind buy of Miel Bourbon. There were no reviews here on Fragrantica yet and now that I’ve done a bit more research, I see most of the reviews on TikTok were done by people who were gifted the fragrance by the brand. This perfume smelled so rancid when I sprayed it that I wondered if I got a bad bottle or something. The opening smelled putrid. I couldn't even determine what note(s) I was smelling! I was hoping for a better dry down but I couldn’t wait any longer and had to scrub it off. I came here to see if there had been any recent reviews, and I see in the comment below that Xenabea had the same experience. Could this fragrance really be spoiled or is it just a terrible perfume? Has anyone else here tried it? I’d love to hear thoughts from others about Miel Bourbon.

I love the smell of all the notes, especially boozy bourbon, but like everyone else, I thought I got a bad bottle at first because it smells like someone tried to make bathtub wine with scented nail polish remover and gasoline and then used that instead of perfumers alcohol to make a perfume. It is straight up disgusting, you could probably use this as rocket fuel.

Thought I got a spoiled bottle, 2nd one isn’t any different. I love these perfumes so much but this is very bizarre. It might be the bitter orange or bitters. It has a harsh opening with a play-Doh smell? I love boozey perfume but I detect no sweetness in the honey. Sadly this is a no.

I wanted to love this but I don’t. I don’t know why, but all I get from this is artificial peach. I’ll try again in different circumstances. Edit: after many tries, I’ve decided I HATE this.

I personally don't like this scent to me it smells a bit like BO on the opening on the dry down the BO calms down a bit but not satisfied

The opening is softly sweet and warm, with the honey feeling smooth rather than sticky. There’s a gentle citrus lift that keeps it from going heavy right away, and the woody notes give it structure without tipping masculine. As it settles, the sweetness becomes more mellow and cozy, and the patchouli stays restrained—present, but not loud or earthy. The texture is warm and lightly spiced rather than syrupy. It wears closer to the skin and feels casual, approachable, and easy to enjoy. Longevity is moderate, projection is polite, and overall it reads as a comforting, everyday gourmand-adjacent scent rather than a bold statement. Not a love for me—but definitely a like. Came across this at TJ Maxx so I didn’t have much insight into the notes aside from the name. For some reason, my very first thought was “oh my god, gummy worms” which must be the peachy smell that others are noting. Also something sour about it. As soon as I read someone mention vomit, it was all I could smell.

It smells like candles, generic candles. It reminds me of the way the old Pier 1 stores used to smell.
