Rum Tropique

This is probably the BEST and LONGEST LASTING le monde gourmand on the market. It’s delicious to boot. Caramel, rum and coconut blend into this stunning, sweet, edible scent, but it also has a je ne sais quoi about it that makes it intriguing. I sprayed my skin and a long sleeve T-shirt on September 30. Obviously my skin held the scent until I showered, but I put my shirt on a chair and didn’t touch it until today, october 4 and IT STILL SMELLS STRONG! Like freshly sprayed strong! Unreal. People need to snap this up so they add it to their regular line instead of discontinuing it. I already bought a back up. Oh, and you don’t need 30 sprays like you do with all of their other scents. I did 10 sprays and still smelled it all those days later!

This is the bomb! I freaking love it! It is linear and simple, but unique! I was scared of the rum, not a fan of rum candies or sweets, but this is delicious! I regret that I didn’t go back in to TJ Maxx and buy it! It’s like a banana pina colada and the caramel makes it sexy and addictive! It’s not a freshie, it’s got some depth and warmth so could possibly be cloying on hot days. I think this is a great option for adding depth to boring tropicals or freshies. Seems to have some sillage and longevity too! If you like tropical and or gourmand, find this at a discount store and give it a try! I’ve been debating about buying Le Monde Crème Brûlée or Cotton Sucre, but no I will be buying this!

Smelt this on one of my girlfriends and absolutely loved it! A unique, tropical scent I don’t smell very often. I don’t think I could smell this from far away but when I was standing next to my friend, I could smell the fragrance. I still enjoy it even if there are stronger fragrances out there. I will be getting a bottle soon, will update with a more detailed review when I do. Please buy this so they don’t discontinue it!

So good! Sweet, tropical cocktail! I get a lot of banana in this as well which is odd because that note is not listed.

I have 2 Le Monde Gourmand perfumes and it seems like a feature of the brand is very synthetic and bad initial sprays. That being said, they both settle in very nicely and smell great. Rum Tropique opens very harsh and synthetic, with a very strong tropical sweet note. It sits on my skin for about 30 mins before it begins to smell warmer and more natural. After a while the creamy smell mixes in and it smells absolutely lovely. It is a very nice tropical gourmand that I would recommend anyone try. Just keep in mind it will smell harsh and plasticy/synthetic for a little bit.

Although it's a very simple concept, it's well done. This has become a staple for me this spring, and most definitely will continue to be this summer. If your looking for a dumb reach for the hot weather, this is definitely for you. With decent longevity, I've found I smell like coconuts and pineapple for a good 3-4 hours, which is better than I've found for some of the other Le Monde scents. Overall 7.5/10

Immediate reaction: I get a strong runts banana from this but I LOVE that. Boyfriend immediately commented I smell good when I walked up to his desk. To me it's a sexy (bc of the rummy/caramel depth I guess?), creamy artificial banana... In the best way.

Bought this for my partner, smells great on her. Could be her natural skin chemistry, but it is soft and fruity with a nice hint of fruity rum. Smells like a tropical drink with Malibu rum.

First impression is tropical cocktail but an interesting result of the rum and caramel notes is an almost rum-raisin ice cream vibe. A bit sweeter and heavier than I would like even if the notes are pleasant.

I wanted to get pineapple out of this but all I really got was banana candy??

Absolutely horrible scent. It smells like if licorice, rum, rotten banana and cotton candy had a baby. The smell is extremely unpleasant it’s overly sweet with a weird artificial note somewhere in there. The fragrance lasts long but that’s the worst part. I hoped it would wear down a bit but it just stayed the same on opening. Do not buy this.

whoa this is so weird. when i tested this is store, i fell in LOVE. when i brought it home and made my husband smell it... i was in love... it is now two days later and now all i am getting is what can only be described as "purple pencil shavings"? ! noses are so weird.

I get pineapple candy and garnier shampoo, I def get coconut as well. It’s cute and sweet but nothing special!

this smells goddamn amazing. up there with le monde gourmand's fraise fouettée as my favorites from them.
