Love,love,love this! Super fresh and salty ! Reminds me of a being on a beach ! I have the body mist as the perfume is no longer available :( this was a blind buy and it did not disappoint! It’s more of a spring /summer scent but can also buy suitable for everyday wear I get compliments on it when I just sprayed it on as it does fade away after about 1-2 hour i also spray it in my hair as it is a hair mist too and keeps my hair smelling clean ! It doesn’t smell cheap at all! Actually it smells exactly like jo Malone WS&SS it smells really clean and fresh such a great scent to have and it’s unique as well I 100% recommend this I hope they bring it back in the parfum if it lasted longer this would by my everyday scent since I’m so sensitive to fragrances this doesn’t bother me at all!

As of this writing (12/2017), this is only sold at Urban Outfitters as a body mist/hair perfume. I was browsing the fragrances/impulse purchase section of Urban yesterday and discovered this. Smells eerily similar to Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt! A little sweet, mellow, very similar to what I liked about Jo Malone (at least from what I remember). I could never justify spending $65 for 30mL of something that barely lasted an hour or two. However, after a preliminary test, Sel Ocean seems to definitely match if not exceed Wood Sage & Sea Salt as far as longevity. Projection, I'm not sure yet, but this was only $24 for a 100mL bottle. Great deal, and definitely worth a try if you like a fresh, oceanic (not marine) scent. I'll write an update once I've worn a few more times.

This scent is an absolute love! It is sweet, a bit salty, and perfect for a hot summer day. I layer it with other salt perfumes like Sea Salt and Fig or Before the Rainbow or all 3 for a sweet, summery scent. Combining these perfumes adds a bit of longevity to these otherwise gone before you know fragrances while providing a nice interplay of notes. I also layer it with Qais by Hamidi (an attar oil - I think it's jasmine and oud) and together they create an intoxicating scent. All of these fragrances brighten any summer day and I love them all!

I believe their batches are very inconsistent and that explains why some people from JM wood sage and sea salt and some don't. Every time I smelled a different group of bottles of this same fragrance, each would be slightly off. I went to another store and smelled theirs and it smelled very floral. However I got lucky with my batch and it smells like a near perfect dupe. I just wish it lasts longer. It is such a comforting scent, I smell notes of sea salt and cashmere (???).

I have this perfumed hair mist spray, in the bottle shown here. Fresh, delicate, salty, barely there misty cloud that hovers gently in the air for about 6 hours. Just a hint of honeysuckle for natural sweetness. Sprayed in your hair, it smells like a fresh shampoo. You can't over spray this one because it's so very light. Great to wear in work places where perfumes are not allowed. Non offensive, natural smelling, refreshing. Sel Ocean is perfect for any age.

a fresh, airy, and beachy floral with a hint of salt. it's pleasant and inoffensive enough for the people around me who usually don't like perfume, while also boasting one of the more interesting scents i've experienced from le monde gourmand! it's a very easy reach and i've come to enjoy it more and more. i have the EDT/body spray which doesn't last the longest but it is very affordable and i don't have to be careful about how much i spray.

I am surprised how much I loved that supposed marine scent! I usually stay away from salty notes but this one is sweet, soft and fresh at the same time. There is something mysterious about it. I am actually quite surprised by this company. I got a discovery set for my little daughter as a Christmas present but I might secretly steal it from her. All the scents are so good, different and easy to wear and this one is the best.

I LOVE this scent. This is a soft, beachy honeysuckle. This gives me instant nostalgia for some reason; reminds me of something from my childhood but I’m not sure what. Lasts forever in the hair; you’ll get wafts of this throughout the entire day. On the skin, I get a good 5 hours but it does stay close. This is just a simple, clean, feminine white floral. I love this combined with Glossier You.

I love this perfume so much in the summer. So fresh, salty & clean. It's not available in the UK though we do have Urban Outfitters here. Longevity-wise, it behaves like a body mist but the scent itself is worth it & it's not that expensive. It's simply gorgeous & addictive. This is a summertime favorite of mine. Comparable to JMS&S for half the price & more flowery. Love it.

This is an incredibly easy fragrance to layer — and I’m a total novice. A light, inoffensive, beachy fragrance with a sharp salt kick. Would smell a bit sophomoric if it were not for the salt and a certain airy-ness to it. I add a touch of the Body Shop Coconut EDP to give it a beachy vacation vibe. My chief complaint is that it doesn’t last long.

I expected this to be a masculine ocean scent, but it's actually very feminine and pretty. More floral than oceanic or aquatic. The accords from strongest to weakest read floral, sweet, soapy, and salty. This is a beautiful summer scent that doesn't veer into "suntan lotion" territory.

I’m actually a big white floral hater and I love this perfume! I don’t get the florals at all. Just smells clean and beachy without leaning tropical. Like all of this brand, I wish it lasted longer but oh well! This is a really nice light inoffensive clean fresh fragrance.

Such a beachy, summery scent. Smells like sunshine with a hint of ocean and sunscreen. It’s my go to in the spring and summer! So light and fresh. Longevity is okay- expected for the affordable price. One of my all time faves for sure.

for any occasion. simple, clean, and fresh aquatic. it smells slightly feminine with the honey suckle and lilly. you can really smell every notes. it lasts a decent time and projects if you use it liberally

Just a nice, balanced, honeysuckle scent. Its casual and beachy, brings back memories of sucking honeysuckle flowers, perfect for spring and summer wear-- but honestly in sunny socal, I wear it all year.

Nice dupe for Wood Sage and Sea Salt! Probably will purchase this instead of the original when I run out because of the affordable price

Alright yall, call me crazy but this smells like Trésor by Lancôme! Am I the only one that gets that from this scent?

This perfume really surprised me. It was not nearly as simple and one-dimensional as other scents I've seen sold in similar clothing brand stores, this perfume was not an afterthought. It is an incredibly summary profile that has a little bit more complexity than the notes might lead you to believe. You just drank lemonade on the sand right next to the beach. The salty smell is noticeable but pleasant, drifting on breezy ocean air. Afterward, you go into the shops nearby, filled with trinkets, to smell some of the hand-made candles. Thanks to the sea salt, this scent instantly has a vivid nautical scent. At first, the florals blend in almost into a sort of musk. Then, after the salty top note settles, you're left with a mainly white floral, soy candle-esque scent of honeysuckle and lily of the valley. This scent is great for casual day wear, but I would not recommend it for those who get quite sweaty in the summer; the salt notes are definitely already there. This is a calm, by-the-seaside scent, casual, inviting, and inspiring.

Sel Ocean is really pretty, salty aquatic floral that is quite sweet. It smells fruity too, a fruity floral rather than a straight honeysuckle/lily of the valley scent. It doesn't smell anything like Wood Sage & Sea Salt. This perfume is quite feminine and not realistically oceanic - it smells oceanic like an ocean breeze body mist or laundry detergent would - calone with plenty of sweet floral notes. I like it - but just keep in mind that it is much sweeter (sugary) than you might expect. I almost get like a cotton candy/sugar crystal vibe from it with all the salty sea spray notes.

This is primarily salt, which I love. I get a lot less floral notes than I expected. I use this scent for layering. As a standalone scent, it’s rather simple, but as a salty addition to a perfume, it is divine. My favorite pairing is Burberry Her Elixir with Sel Océan. The pairing garners many compliments and has amazing sillage. Sel Océan also pairs really well with coconut fragrances. This scent is perfect for daytime and summer wear, but I also reach for it at night to layer. It’s sultry in an, “I just stepped off the beach and am kissed by the sun,” sort of way.

The comments and reviews are absolutely right about this one. This smells like Wood Sage & Sea Salt but sweeter. It also smells like a softer, sweeter version of Pure Grace Summer Moments (more like this one than WSSS, tbh). Being gentler, I like this one better than Summer Moments. If I'd gotten this first, I'd have skipped Summer Moments for sure. It is more affordable as well. This is a sweet, fresh, woody, fig fragrance with decent performance (good projection, longevity not so much) at a great price (under $15). It is overall very good.

I got a body spray of this forever ago. Lightly floral aquatic. Low-moderate sillage that lasts maybe 2-4hrs tops. Clean, inoffensive, sweet without cloy or over the top citrus. Nice for daytime in warm weather but it's nothing groundbreaking or particularly expensive.

I enjoy this fragrance. It starts out sweet and fruity and dries down salty, fresh, and aquatic on my skin. I sprayed in the evening and could still smell it faintly in the morning. You can often find this at TJ Maxx and it's a great deal.

really nice for a relatively inexpensive fragrance. I'm usually more of a sweet gourmand type of person, but this one pleasantly surprised me. still salty but the honeysuckle gives it a nice balance.

So pretty! Honeysuckle and Lily of the valley are tempered by sea salt making it smell like a garden on the cliffs over the ocean. Not overly sweet, pretty well balanced. Fresh and clean

This is I better than I expected. I was worried I would get prominent marine salty note, but I did not. It’s a lovely floral perfume. I get a hint of creaminess giving it a beach vibe.

Fresh and salty, not too strong it lasts like 30 mins on me. Its different from a lot of what I own so ill probably use it up but not repurchase

Smells almost exactly like wood sage & sea salt but slightly sweeter! I quite like it.

Sel Ocean is incredibly light - I have body mists that are stronger than this parfum. Very easy to layer with any floral or marine scent. It is inoffensive, yet it is fairly boring. I will finish my 7ml as it adds a nice salty punch to some of of my summer florals.

Not as sharp as I expected it to be. I’m very picky with florals but the notes here are quite soft and sweet. It’s pretty faint though and almost like a skin scent on me. Not bad, but not something I would reach for. It has minimal sillage and lasts about 3 hours.

This smells exactly like the White Rain ocean scented shampoo that my mom used to buy in the 90s. Like crazy similar. I don't like it but it's hilarious!

Honeysuckle and lily-of-the-valley is all I really smell, it’s floral with some freshness. I was hoping for more of a salty water scent to be there.

I really don't get ANY honeysuckle here. It smells like a generic aquatic citrus to me. I moved it to the bathroom for room spray.

There is a sweetness in this that really comes out in the middle. I guess it's the honeysuckle, but on me, it turns to pure sugar, which I have not found with other honeysuckle scents. The drydown is woodsy but still carries some of the sweet. Longevity was pretty good, 5hrs, but the fresh notes disappeared within a few mins. I like the fragrance well enough to use up the small size I got, but it is not a purely fresh scent on me personally. It is a beach with a boardwalk, not a quiet beach escape. And for me it's frustrating, like I showed up at the beach and forgot my swimsuit, so now I can only wade up to my ankles. There's nothing offensive about it, but it's not quite satisfying either. Safe and unfulfilled, the girl who dreams of living by the beach but never makes it out of the Midwest. If youre really missing the ocean (as I was when I bought this), it will probably not satisfy you, not completely. It will leave you wanting.

I expected Sel Ocean to be a salty floral but I get an astringent citrus aromatic that quickly turns green and sour on my hair and skin, then disappears. It reads way more masculine than I expected, given the notes, but it's hardly worth being upset about bc it's gone so quickly. I'm using the body and hair mist version, so perhaps the way it's watered down affects things. Giving it away in the hopes that someone will find joy in it. That person just isn't me.

I thought I’d love this because the notes on paper sound beautiful but eh... it’s more masculine than I thought kinda? A little harsh and sour. I mean if you’re into more unisex perfumes you might love this, but I like a little sweetness with my aquatic scents, or else it goes into Febreeze territory

Coconut water and honeysuckle or some simple sweet floral. No ocean here. I get no salt. It has excellent longevity though: I washed thoroughly and was still there, as a light coconut water floral. Pretty but I wanted actual ocean water, salty, briney windy. This is a pretty coconut water floral.

I just got the spray because they don’t have the perfume anymore. Such a nice shampoo like honeysuckle aquatic. It’s sweet but fresh too. Not groundbreaking, but I’m a fan.

An aquatic scent with added sweetness, well balanced and not cheap smelling. This was a surprise discovery. I will using it in my upcoming vacation.

This smells slightly like Wood Sage & Sea Salt but it mostly resembles Bal D'Afrique to me. like 25% WSSS, 75% BDA. And a touch sweeter
