Sucre de Coton

I get only a millisecond of sweetness, or cotton candy vibe upon first spray of this. After that fraction of a second, it goes some kind of floral to me. Having said that, it is a BEAUTIFUL floral, I'm not fragrance savvy enough to be able to identify the specific flower. It's just a pretty fragrance, mildly sweet, that smells like fresh flowers. Mild to moderate longevity. Sillage is almost intimate. It would probably be nice layered with an actual cotton candy scent, like Kyse Zucchero Filato. It's a great scent for spring and summer. Wallet friendly as well.

my first thought upon smelling was Pastel Skies by bath & body works, they smell basically identical. i'm a sucker for sweet scents, so i love the cotton candy quality plus the fresh linen/cotton. im trying my hardest to smell the maple syrup everyone's talking about but i can't, and i put maple syrup in just about every sweet thing i eat. i'd wear this on casual summer nights out, it would probably make a nice cozy sweet winter scent as well. but you have to like cotton candy-like scents to appreciate this one.

This is so gorgeous, and so inexpensive. Long lasting, inoffensive, sweet, but not juvenile! This is a clean cotton candy scent that has great sillage and longevity for the price point. Not cloying, just the right amount of sweet. The red berries offset the sugar but don't make it a berry perfume, per se. It's just the right blend of yummy. I will always make sure I have this one in my collection. Well worth the $12.99 I paid--actually worth quite a bit more in my opinion. Don't sleep on this one!

This is almost identical to pastel skies from BBW. So happy to have a dupe of it. I don't know if that was accidental or they really were trying to dupe it but it smells dead on. Same sweet cotton candy note mixed with a fresh laundry type note. It's not listed but it most certainly smells like clean linen. Which I think really makes it.. otherwise it would be too cloying. I find it slightly less musky than pastel skies, but the other notes are so identical that it really doesn't matter.

It’s fresh and sweet. I do get a slight nutty note I’m not sure why but that’s what my nose picks up. I’d say unisex possibly leaning slightly masculine but overall a lovely fresh scent, ideal for a hot day as its giving a fresh cool kinda vibe.

Grabbed this yesterday from my local Marshalls store for $13 and it smells amazing. It’s sugary and really sweet. It def has fresh notes but the sugar takes over. I’m a fan of this fragrance so far. If you have a sweet tooth you’d love this

Smells like cotton candy with a strong berry note. I'm a long time lover of cyclamen bc it's a gentle clean v the sometimes harshness that aldehydes have. I wish cyclamen was used more often. Very different from Pink Cotton clean..

Where have I been? I absolutely love this scent. It is sweet but not too much. It’s a nice vanilla fragrance that lasts. I have 2 backup bottles!!!! I am discovering Le Monde Gourmond !!!

Sugar cotton is right. Mix brown sugar with laundry dryer sheets and you get sucre de coton. Not sure if I smell clean or gourmand when I wear this. Somehow it works though.

This is VERY sweet! Smells just like cotton candy! Its very strong too so you only need a little bit.

I was thoroughly unimpressed when I first got this fragrance late Winter. Now that it is warming up, mid-Spring I am appreciating the notes a bit more. I still do not pick up “cotton candy” per se. However, I do get the “warm sugar” almost melted, syrupy sugar vibe. I also get a hint of licorice which, depending on what I layer this with or my overall mood can be a good or terrible thing. It doesn’t last more than an hour on my skin and on my clothes or fabric, I may get about 3-4 hours. Does NOT project at all, it is certainly a skin scent. Overall, it’s a fun fragrance. Not expensive at all and easy to layer. 5/10

I don't mind this at all, and I actually quite like this a lot! It's nothing out of this world and it smells kind of familiar to me but I can't put my finger on it (I don't have Pastel Skies from BBW so it can't be that). It's very sweet and candy-like and it feels "summer-y", not unlike a body spray - but it lasted longer than I was expecting it too. I don't find this offensive at all, but if you're not nuts for sticky sweet/vanilla/cotton candy scents then don't bother with this. I also really adore the colour of the juice, and I feel like it matches the smell.

You really get the sugar smell, it's has a bubblegum-esque scent to me without being too sickly sweet. There's an undertone to it that I can't really place that is a little synthetic but that makes it a bit more nostalgic for me. I really like it personally and would wear as a casual day perfume.

This is so similar to Skylar Boardwalk Delight that I can barely tell the difference between the two. This one is just more linear and also cheaper smelling, similar to B&BW or VS scent DNA. It’s not worth owning both, especially since Skylar is much more pricey.

Cotton candy with a hint of freshness. I was a bit disappointed when I first sprayed it because I thought it would be overly sweet, but it's not; it's simple yet sweet.

I think people get maple because it’s just a suuuuuper sweet vanilla fragrance, but I don’t smell maple specifically.

Pleasant, but synthetic and juvenile. Very much just a body spray type smell. It's hard not to come off that way when it's cotton candy, so I'm not necessarily knocking it for that. It's got a little bit of that "dryer sheet" accord that I can't get behind and it's lacking some of the warmer sweetness I think of when I imagine what cotton candy smells like. I won't be purchasing the full thing. If I want simple, straight up cotton candy, I'll reach for my Body Fantasies Cotton Candy from Walmart. If I want sophisticated cotton candy, I'm reaching for Sundazed by Byredo. 4/10 - boring.

I definitely prefer this cotton candy scent to all the others I've tried. If you want to smell like cotton candy this fragrance or Pink Sugar are your best options in my opinion. The fragrance market is so saturated there is no need to spend over $30 on a cotton candy perfume. (cough cough Truly Unicorn Fruit...).

Like this scent but not a love. It gives cotton candy but with a slight burnt/caramelised sugar vibe. It’s not too juvenile, and is different compared to other cotton candy scents that may smell too young/childish. It did initially give VS body mist vibes. Will wear it more and update on my thoughts

This reminds me of a watered down version of Aquolina Pink Sugar. I'm getting the licorice note that Pink Sugar has, even though it's not listed and it smells of cotton candy, but also has a freshness. It's an ok scent and I'll use my travel spray, but it won't be a repurchase.

This is a masculine take on a cotton candy smell. Not what I was expecting, yet somehow I prefer it over pink sugar. it opens up masculine and it dries down to a spun cotton candy smell. I tried mixing with toasted pistachio b&bw and it smelled decent together.

I really thought I was going to love Sucre de Cotton from Le Monde Gourmand, but this one just wasn’t for me unfortunately :( 🤍🍬 I’m someone who loves super sweet, sugary, girly and almost over-the-top gourmand fragrances, so based on the notes I had really high hopes. And at first, you do get that cotton candy vibe, which I was excited about but on my skin, it had this underlying scent that I just couldn’t get past. It came across like melting plastic mixed with a kind of men’s aftershave note, which made it feel really off to me. It was actually a bit overwhelming and even made me feel a little sick, which is so rare for me with sweet scents!!😭 On a more positive note, the performance is actually really good. The sillage is decently strong and I could smell it while going about my day, and it lasted around 5 hours on my skin, which is great for the price point!! ✨ Unfortunately though, the scent itself just didn’t work for me, so I ended up getting rid of it. This is actually the first Le Monde Gourmand fragrance I’ve tried that I haven’t liked, which is kind of sad because I usually really enjoy their perfumes 🤍 Overall, if you’re curious about a more unique, dimensional and more unisex-masculine take on a cotton candy scent it might still be worth trying for yourself, but for me it just didn’t hit the way I was hoping 🍬

i've had a sample from a discovery set i got from le monde gourmand when this scent first came out. the notes looked like something i would absolutely love but i ended up hating it and never wore it. i tried it again today and had to wash it off after 10 minutes because it was making me gag. there's something sickly about it, like the smell of someone old and close to dying. i'm hoping i just got a bad set or something because more than one of the samples from the set have that same sickly/cough syrupy smell that got worse as they aged

I was soo disappointed with this one! I totally agree with @Perfumeaddict84 that it smells like maple syrup. my bf said so too, and told me to "wear a different perfume" XD he hates sweet scents tho, so grain of salt. I definitely get maple syrup, but also something blue? like the bottle. I've decided it specifically smells like blueberry 🫐 pancakes. not a bad thing, just not appealing to me! EDIT: I am selling this one within the US! it will be cheap because I got it from tj maxx. dm me if you're interested :)

I’m disappointed this one didn’t work for me. This sounds weird, but it smells like when you walk into a home store that has an air freshener or a candle burning. To me, this is synthetically sweet with an underlying linen/plastic smell.

For me this is more like an aquatic sweet. I can definitely agree it smells like something B&BW would put out.

quite literally the most disappointing perfume experience of my life. i actually bought 6 fragrances from this perfume house and will review the one in question first and then go on to leave my reviews of the other five. honestly i don’t understand any of the reviews of how people actually like this scent? i must’ve gotten a bad batch or something but honestly i’m in no business of finding out. do not—and i repeat—do not let tiktok and the cute, minimalist bottles fool you. these perfumes are without a doubt the worst things i have ever smelt in my entire life, and i’m including sewage and hot trash in the middle of summer. i had high hopes. i wanted to love them. i’m a gourmand girl to my core. but these? these were pure regret in a bottle. let’s get into it: sucre de coton i don’t even know where to begin. cotton candy? sweetness? where? this smelled like literal vomit. it was genuinely offensive to my nose. i love sugary, candy-like perfumes—think kayali’s vanilla candy rock sugar, yum boujee marshmallow, dossier’s floral marshmallow. but this? this was the devil’s version of cotton candy. there was no sugar, no fluffiness—just something sour, rotten, and aggressively gross. i had to scrub it off my skin. headache central. easily one of the worst things i’ve ever smelled in my life. i don’t know who lied to get those notes onto fragrantica but do yourself a favour and run far. it will easily be the worst thing you’ve ever smelt and i can’t believe that they would even put that in a perfume??? does nobody at that perfume factory have a nose??? it’s so hard to describe the scent as something other than just awful. it instantly gave me a headache every time i smelt it. that was without a doubt the worst in the set, even though they were all pretty bad. santal supreme this smells just like dossier woody sandalwood, which is inspired by le labo santal 33 which i already know isn’t for me. it’s probably not objectively horrible—it might even be okay for someone who likes that dry, earthy, woody vibe. but for me? nope. headache-inducing. not sexy. not cozy. just not my scent and never will be. still one of the more tolerable ones, which says a lot about what’s coming next. angel soirée this was... not terrible? it smelled quite nice at first. sweet, fruity, airy—honestly had some potential. but the scent lasted minutes. like blink and it’s gone. for a perfume that costs £24 for 30ml, that’s unacceptable. it didn’t stink, but it didn’t stick. the fact that i hated the rest so much killed any chance of keeping this one. pretty but weak. a disappointment. fraise fouettée this one shocked me. it smells exactly like a strawberry milkshake. like, i legit had to stop myself from trying to sip it with a straw. but while it smelled kinda good, i realized i don’t want to wear a strawberry milkshake on my skin. it’s a novelty scent—fun to sniff, but i couldn’t commit. if you want to smell like dessert, this might be your jam. me? i passed. and this is coming from someone who loves gourmands!!!! crème vanille i live for a good vanilla. i need it sweet, strong, cozy. this? weak & forgettable. the alcohol hit me in the face when i first sprayed it. when it finally settled, i barely got that creamy vanilla vibe, and even that faded into oblivion in minutes. i had to squint my nose just to catch it. unmemorable. if you’re gonna do vanilla, do vanilla. this was useless. pêché délicieuse the only thing delicious about this was the moment i packed it up for return. at first, i got a teeny bit of peach, and i thought—okay maybe this won’t be so bad. i was wrong. so wrong. it quickly turned into a burnt, sickly, cakey mess that made me genuinely feel nauseous. like genuinely unbearably bad. i actually read some reviews about how bad this was but the conflicting ones made me second-guess but boy should i have believed them. honestly, it’s a terrible fragrance and i really can’t comprehend how this even got cleared and left the factory. it’s even more mind-boggling that an influencer was the one that created it. the peach made it worse—like rotting fruit on a burnt cupcake. i don’t care who on tiktok hyped this up, they need to be stopped. this was second-worst, but only because sucre de coton exists. i paid £24 for each of these and bought six, £144 gone in 60 seconds. i returned them not even an hour after opening the box. some were meh, some were vomit-inducing. honestly, i’m shook that these were approved for sale. the fact that they made it through quality control makes me question the entire perfume industry. and believe me, i am such a gourmand girly i truly truly truly wanted to love these scents but i just couldn’t no matter how much i tried. if you’re tempted, don’t be. save your money. save your nostrils. save yourself. and to anyone who genuinely enjoys these scents? i’m not judging... but i’m deeply, deeply concerned.

This to me is very reminiscent of Pink chiffon by bath and body works it just doesn’t have that praline esque scent that pink chiffon has . They both have a cyclamen note in the middle so I think that plays a part in it . I also get a resemblance to pastel skies from bath and body works because it smells a little clean and sweet so this does very much give body spray vibes meaning it definitely doesn’t smell expensive or high end . But this lasts a lot longer than any body spray I’ve used it has decent performance. But I get almost like a nail polish note from this at first, and I don’t mind it at all. In all honesty I think it makes it unique and then sadly that pretty much settles and is gone after 10-15 minutes . The nail polish note I get from this makes me want to try angels powder by BTSO. All in all not a bad scent it’s fun a little juvenile but idk what you would expect from a cotton candy scent . But I do think there is better cotton candy reaches out there in the same price region .

when I saw this perfume in tj maxx, I was expecting to be disappointed. as someone who is an ulta employee and also a lover of gourmand scents, I have been constantly let down by le monde gourmand's fragrances as I feel like they don't typically smell like how they're advertised. I honestly feel like this one was no different. I don't know why it's called sucre de coton as I do not think it smelt anything like cotton candy. there was a little freshness in the opening but it turned into this strange burnt sugar that ended up smelling a little like vomit. it did last on my wrist for a while after leaving the store but this fragrance is a pass for me.

This stays in my rotation. The amount of compliments I get while wearing it just has me convinced it might be my signature scent. Upon spray, it smells clean but sweet- cotton candy bubble gum sweet sugary vanilla but when it sets on me personally it’s so lovely. Its not nauseating or too over sweet, it smells on me/my clothes hours later. Honestly love this brand you can’t go wrong for the price.

I'm embarrassed by how much I like this, not because there's anything wrong with fun scents like this, but it's not my usual taste. So I was surprised by how much I liked it. It smells just like cotton candy to me. I almost bought it but I refrained. I kind of want to layer it with pink sugar and amp up the sweetness. But maybe that's too much.

This is great cheapie. Smells way more expensive than it is. I found it on sale at Marshalls for $10 and bought 4 bottles. Best scent from the house. Smells like a Smokey woody vanilla. Similar to Ariana grande mod vanilla and Snif vanilla vice. Just overspray and it will perform. I use at least half a bottle a day.

This is NOT cotton candy it’s maple syrup it’s so disgusting it’s mixed with a clean laundry scent! Gross asf definitely my most hated perfume, I blind bought it was so excited cause everyone said it smells like Pastel Skies. No it doesn’t at ALL I’m never wearing this perfume again it belongs in the garbage

A very unconventional cotton candy. It is very sweet but there is an underlying freshness, cotton sheets vibe that makes this different than other cotton candy fragrances. I have been told it also smells like sweet tobacco/cigar before it is lit. In my top for sweet fragrances.

It amazes me how identical this is to pastel skies by b&bw lol it's literally an exact dupe. Smells amazing, I've always loved pastel skies so having a perfume version makes me happy
