Violet Sucré

I bought this because I’ve been obsessed with violet perfumes since I’ve tried Lolita Lempicka. It definitely smells like a confectionery version of Lolita Lempicka, as I almost smell some sort of vanilla? This perfume reminds me of those retro violet candies/mints during the first few moments after spraying, but after it dries down it has a much softer, smoother, frosting-esque scent. I can smell the raspberry but to me it’s not the star of the show, it’s just to accentuate what’s already there and give it this juvenile/innocent aspect that I personally think Lolita Lempicka lacks, if that’s what you’re looking for. Smells like something a “Sugar Plum Fairy” would wear, if that makes sense. Violet Sucre is a perfect year-round signature fragrance for girls/women who never lost touch with their whimsy :)

I smelled the tester without spraying at Urban Outfitters. I was shopping with my 22 year old daughter. I was sitting in the dressing room waiting for her and another customer entered wearing this and I recognized it and swooned. On the way to the register I sprayed it on and fell in love. My daughter also said that smells so good so I bought two bottles ! This smells nothing like “grandma’s purse” whatever that means. It is very contemporary imo and the violet balances the sugar well. Will be wearing all summer.

I forgot I had this one! She was put away in a cabinet to keep out of sunlight. I know all perfume should be but for some reason with this one I felt it even more necessary. Maybe due to the creamy nature of it. Anyway, I found her last night, put her on before bed and fell in love! Maybe because she had sat awhile but she was creamy, sweet, but also there was this wonderful incense-like aroma I ADORE! I will always rebuy her!

This is a beautiful scent. To me it smells exactly like violet and sweet raspberries, i think I would buy 2 or more bottles of it. I really love it

Something about this takes me back to my childhood in the late 90s/early 00s. Scented stationary, sweet sugar under the guise of fairy dust, and watching episodes of Sailor Moon on my holographic, hot pink VHS tape. <3 The raspberry is at the top is super fruity, and for me it honestly sticks with the candied violets and sugar for most of the dry down. It's very candied, and that might be too much for some people, but as someone who loves "candy" perfume like Aquolina Pink Sugar (this actually smells like a violet version of it, btw) I'm a huge fan. Very sweet, fruity, and powdery. Love the milky, lavender juice. You could definitely wear this any time of year!

Be warned... this is a very sweet perfume, but I do think it gets more wearable and enjoyable after about 15 minutes post spray on. It reminds me a little of LDBS but in a milky raspberry form. The dry down is less milky and more sugary. Candied violets are there, but not as prominently as the raspberry. This is one that I enjoy my bubble more than my nose right up to it because of the sweetness factor being so high. But, I do like it. Like not love.

I adore the scent of this perfume. It starts out as incredibly sweet, with a tangy raspberry edge. It then fades into a more powdery violet while still maintaining a lovely sweetness. It has moderate sillage for the first 30 minutes to an hour, but then sadly fades into a whisper of what it is at first spray. This is a lovely fragrance b,ut with such poor longevity I can't justify a full bottle purchase.

It's not a bad fragrance at all, but the opening really smells like a sour berry candy. As it dries down it leans more into the sweet and powdery aspect from the violet. I think this is great for the price, and will be so fun to wear in the spring!

I was so excited for this because I've been really into violet fragrances lately. Le Monde Gourmand can be hit or miss but I actually really like this for the price. It's a very powdery, sweet, candy like scent. It's perfect for Spring.

Totally disappointed by this one. I adore the scent of violets and that is why I purchased this. Annick Goutal La Violette is one of my all time favorite perfumes. This is nothing like that obviously... This is extremely powdery, sweet and artificial smelling. It could work layered, but on it's own I am not a fan. The violet isn't very prominent here.

On me at least, this becomes more of a violet candy scent than anything else. It would definitely suit an older demographic as frankly it smells a bit like a grandma’s purse.

I am very let down by this. Blind buy, the price justified that much - but I was really hoping for the violet to take center stage. I agree with nofacey, this is just a raspberry perfume with the tiiiiiniest tinge of overly sweet violet candy. Not powdery to me at all, just a nose full of crystalized sugar, but still mildly pleasant. Just take the name at face value!! As far as LMG goes, the longevity is also pretty on par - AKA, very short lived & a little too intimate, still sitting way too close to the skin. A bit headache inducing, and I don't get perfume headaches easily. All in all, 3/10 - smells somewhat (?) pleasant, but isn't at all as advertised; the juice itself looks beautiful and delicious; the longevity and sillage are weak at best; very affordable! I also wouldn’t compare this to LVEB L’Elixir because this raspberry is WAY more syrupy than jammy. My boyfriend, who is getting really good at detecting notes & quality, said this smelled like cheap, sour blueberry yogurt. Not trying to knock this perfume, but the more I think about it and try to make myself like it the more disappointed I become =(

This perfume is not good. It smells of raspberry and anise to me, not violet. And the scent lasts about five minutes (which I guess is a good thing, since I don’t like it.) On a positive note, the milky lavender color is gorgeous.

Remember those scented markers that were really popular when you were a kid? This smells like the purple one.

smells like conversational heart candies with tart raspberries and sugary musks. The violet here smells candied, ultra powdery, soft and vintage, with a tart raspberry opening. The raspberry fades into the candied sweetness of it all and the dry down is musky, still powdery, and sugary sweet. You have to like sweet to enjoy this, and you have to vibe with something very powdery that isn’t all the way baby powdery territory lol. I really enjoy this but I can see how this would be a polarizing release.

Candied Violets and Raspberry Jell-o, very cute and playful scent. It has a lot of similarities with Dior Purple Glow and La Vie Est Belle L'Elixir, I think it is that raspberry-sugary violet combo. This is softer and has low projection. Cute little purple scent, a little childlish but I don't care. Spring is a good season for soft little cute scents.

Liquefied Sweet Tarts! I like this even tho it lasts a nanosecond like almost all LMGs, but if its too sweet for you, mostly raspberry reading or not violet-y enough, try Hilde Soliani Parmesean Violet (named for the region in France, not the cheese lol) That one is candied Violet 100%. Pricey but delivers.

very sweet, creamy, powdery, violet candy. this reminds me of lush's "we believe in glinda" in terms of powdery-ness. it lasts quite some time too! i've noticed le monde gourmand stepped up their fragrance quality. fair warning though! again, it is SWEET! probably too sweet for warmer months.

this is a raspberry perfume, not a violet perfume, which was super disappointing for me bc i love violet perfumes! but i could hardly smell any in this perfume, mostly just sharp sour raspberry :( layering with creme vanille helped soften it a bit

finally. a feminine perfume with no musk or amber. slightly tart and sweet like sour gummies. I have a feeling my boyfriend is going to like this one
