#278 Sourire De Cassis

this is black currant through and through, to the point where i can't say i feel anything else. but what a multidimensional currant it is... it opens bright and fresh, very sweet, reminiscent of currant yoghurt or these sweet shower/skin care gels with forest berries, but then the star of the show hits you - if you ever smelled or tried adding currant leaves to tea, this is it. fresh currant leaves with hints of the bud or berry itself, mostly freshly green or earthy, kinda savoury. it's such a light scent, it doesn't feel complex, it doesn't leave you with a heavy wow effect, but oh god, it delivers such joy and comfort to me, i wouldn't reach for it often, but when i do, i love every minute of it. from sweet velvety opening to the dry and herbal, slightly earthy drydown. the trail doesn't last long but the first hour definetely has good projection, after which the sweetness fades leaving herbal close to the skin scent.
