18 Vanilla Nera

Oh wow I am so surprised by this, in a good way! It’s a LOVE. I really assumed it would be typical vanilla with a couple spices, but it leans quite spicy and aromatic! The vanilla in here is stunning-almost vanilla wafer-ish. It reminds me of something Diptyque would create or maybe Lush. I was expecting something like this when I tried Babycat. It feels exotic, like spices of the east on a fabulous vacation where fragrance is dense and made of the finest oils. Smells expensive with no trace of the synthetic woods all over the market. Totally unisex leaning sexy ;) Maybe it’s the frankincense but something reminds me of cinnamon. Theres a mysterious note in here beckoning thoughts of bubblegum? Some ambers have that quality of cola/bubblegum and I’m sensing that here. I don’t get any white florals unless that’s responsible for the slight bubblegum vibe. But also LOL to see how many people think this is “old lady?!” Are you 12? Lol because then yes elderly people of 30 years old might be wearing this.

A favorite in my rotation & the most complex from the Ledda line. It a deep, balsamic & resinous vanilla with an herbal greenness to it. This really smells like it costs a lot more than it does, and reminds me a bit of something that Guerlain would make. This has the Orris 22 DNA at the base, so it still has some sweetness but the patchouli, pepper & cardamom really add some gorgeous spice to this one, it’s also gender neutral despite being marketed for women. I also found this fragrance became smoother after it was sprayed and sat a bit. As much as the other fragrances in the Ledda line are a really easy reach for me & gets me a lot of compliments, I hope she makes another spicy banger like this in the future because it really puts me in baddie mode.

I love this! Perfect Holiday scent! Like PERFECT for Thanksgiving and Christmas. You have to like a spiced vanilla to love this IMO. This does not smell edible at all! I am not a huge vanilla lover, I am a warm floral girly, but this vanilla is a spicy mature vanilla which I love. To me this is how it smells: Opening: Resins, ginger and pink pepper predominately. Gives off a sweet clove vibe almost. Middle: cardamom starts to come out with the olbanium. Dry down: vanilla and cardamom. I get no florals in this and zero patchouli. This is in the same family as Tom Ford Noir Pour Femme and Kayali Vanilla 28. 8.5/10 fragrance!

Stunner of a fragrance and one of my favorites of 2024! To my nose, this is a beautiful warm, resinous, spicy, slightly dry vanilla. There is a hint of sweetness but this is not a gormaund in my opinion. This blend is so beautiful and i adore it. This is one of those scents that feels like me and I love it for that. I have been so impressed with this brand and I am so excited to see what Ledda does in the future. I don't think this is a scent for everyone but she is most definitely for me. Straight up love this one.

Ok... this is the craziest claim I’ve ever made but I promise if you ever stay at the Fontainebleau Hotel in Las Vegas the dry down of Vanilla Nera is 100% their hotel scent. My husband actually commented this when smelling it on me and the second he did a light went on in my head and it took me right back to one of my favorite hotels! If ever you stay there, you will smell it immediately after stepping into the lobby. I love this scent spicy resinous vanilla! So underrated!

This is a nice, spicy vanilla. Similar to Vanilla 28.

As a vanilla lover, I was really excited to try 18 Vanilla Nera and was expecting a vanilla dominant scent given the name of the fragrance, but unfortunately it doesn't have as much vanilla presence as I had hoped. Don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful scent and I still like it, but it is primarily a spicy and woodsy/patchouli scent and not as vanilla-y as the brand's marketing and description would imply. The name is actually very misleading. A more appropriate name would be "18 Nera Woods", which I think matches the feeling of the perfume because "18 Nera Woods" sounds like a secret forest location and I could imagine a forest fairy smelling like this! Overall, 18 Vanilla Nera smells sophisticated, high quality, and well blended, but I wish the vanilla note was stronger. I also want to say that the fragrance starts off unisex leaning feminine, but becomes more unisex as it dries down and the late dry down starts to smell masculine due to the woodiness. Note: A perfume I can think of comparing it to is Chloe Nomade Absolu - they share a similar type of spicy woodiness.

This is a nice vanilla fragrance! It reminds me a lot of Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille but not nearly as sticky sweet. This is a bit more dry and smooth. I love warm fragrances like this (I have TF Tobacco Vanille and Dior Amber Nuit which are both similar to this). So if you’ve been eyeing either of those this is a more affordable option! Though this doesn’t last more than a few hours on my skin and more of an arms length projection. So you’d go through this a bit faster but at a more affordable price point that may be ok! :)

I just gave this perfume to a friend. It is not bad smelling at all, but is more along the lines of something that I would prefer as a home fragrance. I think it is a unique vanilla at a great price point- I do agree with others detecting a menthol quality... one friend smelled it one me, gave me a compliment but said it smelled a bit like carmex lol. Maybe from the ginger and resin? I think it is definitely worth a try! Not a gourmand vanilla at all for me, more of a fresh spiced vanilla with warm resins- I have not checked but I would totally but if they had this scent in a candle, would be great in fall/winter.

This is not my absolute favourite from this house, it is just a bit little like too many others in the sweet vanilla bucket, but it is still brilliant quality and all-day feel good wearable. Great price point, you can't really go wrong.

Oh boy, this is not as I expected. I love dark, ambery, spicy scents but this, nahh (not yet anyways). Every note in this scent is dry & spicy and the vanilla in this is deffo bourbon vanilla (not sweet at all). The cardamom is super dry, borderline medicinal, now mixed with a very harsh, earthy & potent patchouli note = very very bitter combo. The fragrance opens nice though, but few minutes later, those notes take over on my skin and the lack of sweetness does not help either. Letting this sit for now, we will see in few months.

I bought this because it’s being discontinued, and I had been curious about it, as I’m a big fan of Frank Voelkl and his work. This is a not-so-sweet, spicy (cardamom) vanilla. To me, it smells like the Christmas section of a Michaels (yes, the craft store). As for spicy, slightly boozy vanillas, I’ll stick with Kayali Vanilla 28. I’ll let this one sit for a while and try it again in colder weather to see if I still feel bleh about it.

This one isn't for me--I tested without looking at the notes, and really only experienced a powdery, floral, vaguely vanilla presence. It felt vague and without a personality on my skin. It also reminds me of a Chloe perfume, and I dislike the original Chloe, so this was not for me. I was surprised by the listed notes--I was hoping for more complexity.

If you're an 18 Vanilla Nera fan, contact me, I will trade it or sell it at a great price. 18 Vanilla Nera is more like 18 Vanilla No... it was hate at first spray, definitely regretted buying it. I even tried selling it on Poshmark, but you can't sell perfume on Poshmark, so I need to keep it. It had a super Carmex, Menthol, old lady scent to it. I needed to scrub off.. I let it sit and retry.. I still very much dislike it. It smells like a Christmas tree & Old Lady smoking cigarettes, with menthol chapstick on. I sprayed it on another person to give it another chance to see if it was just my chemistry and this perfume not vibing. He smelled like an old lady, Christmas Tree too. It's too spicy, menthol & harsh. & I'm not a hater, I love Ledda. 22 Orris & 20 Bourbon Brulee are my favorite perfumes currently

i think this fragrance is absolutely beautiful. after reading some reviews i now see what people mean when they say theres something menthol/ medicinal smelling about it, but initially it just came off as pine. i looked up what camphor means and i get that too, but its not overbearing in any sense to me. it just lingers lightly in the background while vanilla is up front. my boyfriend is sensitive to medicinal scents and smells what he describes as vapor rub in vanilla nera and vanilla 28 as well. he still enjoys the fragrance its just not his favorite. to me theres a christmas vibe coming from the pine/ camphor smell and the sweetness is so airy and ambery with a lovely resinous vanilla base. so glad i discovered this perfume, first day i wore it i got a compliment from my coworker. also i dont get much patchouli if thats something that bothers you, i like flowerbomb and dior addict for patchouli scents thats about it

This is sophistication in a bottle. Those who know, know. I think people have become too used to the tooth-aching sweet vanillas that are mass marketed today to appreciate this beauty. This is not a sweet vanilla. This is a warm, resinous spicy vanilla. Very dry but of great quality. To me, this is the kind of vanilla worn by a very wealthy late 20s to 30s lady who wear D&G blazers and kitten heels to brunch.

This is one of my favorite sophisticated vanillas ever. It’s not a gourmand sweet vanilla like others have pointed out. It never claimed to be, so if you got it thinking it was that... your bad. It’s a dry, sultry, spicy vanilla that reminds you of snow falling while you’re cuddled up in a blanket. Cozy but also something you’d wear out to a business dinner. It’s versatile. I absolutely adore it!

My most loved Vanilla and I have all the major ones. This was made for me. This and Burberry Goddess ate my absolute faves. I have SDV, Vanilla 28 (that gives me cheap vibes and a headache) name it I have it cause I've been haunting for the perfect Vanilla for so long and I've found it in this one. I wear it all year and the compliments just keep coming Yes!

This starts out sort of like a Coca-Cola vanilla smell. It’s nice but just know that the patchouli is definitely present. and like the review below, there is a bit of that Carmax menthol scent,but it’s pretty slight.this is a hippie drinking a coke while burning a vanilla candle....i kinda like it, but not bottle worthy.

I want to love this but I can’t. I get a spicy resinous vanilla that smells very classy. My biggest issue is a get a menthol vibe from this. I have had that happen with one other fragrance. When the weather cools down I will pull out Vanilla Nera and try again! Maybe my nose will pick up something different.
