20 Bourbon Brûlée

I have been following Stephanie for many years and I totally trust her opinions when it comes to beauty. I’ve purchased Orris, Vanilla Nera (love both) and now Bourbon Brûlée. For Bourbon Brûlée, this was not a love at first sniff. It felt a bit different from what I was expecting. The opening has a burst of freshness from what I’m assuming is the bergamot. Then as it dries down, it gets progressively warmer and sweeter. After a couple days of testing, it immediately turned into a love! This is a very classy and elegant take on a sweet fragrance. It’s woody and smoky without being overly so. It’s sweet but not too sweet. If you are looking for an edible gourmand like Escapade Gourmande, this is not that. This is elevated. Way better and more interesting than By the Fireplace/Jazz Club. It feels totally modern. It’s really a perfect fall and winter fragrance. I don’t have anything like this in my collection and I’ve been reaching for it ever since it arrived!

This scent is absolutely beautiful! Its incredibly sensual and intoxicating. Upon first smell I became very emotional as it elicited pure comfort and nostalgia. I envision a warm dimlit cabin in the mountains with a fireplace burning outside, sipping drinks with loved ones under warm blankets. I will say it is a bit one dimensional. Unlike other scents where you can really detect each specific note, this is kind of an amalgamation, but a beautiful and enveloping one. Its sweet, warm, boozy, elegant, and a little powdery. I mainly get the coconut milk, vanilla, plum, tonka, and whiskey. The longevity is INSANE! literally can still smell it on skin after 24 hours. At least 5 hours of enveloping projection. Also pretty reasonably priced.

One thing I have learnt about myself recently is that I absolutely love a good boozy note in a fragrance. I am not a whisky fan generally (I actually hate the taste of it) but it smells incredible here and is perfectly blended with the caramel and vanilla, which are the notes I pick out the most. And that vanilla drydown! It creates the most delicious, mouth-watering scent bubble. I can't believe this isn't more talked about. Not that I am complaining though - I will be gatekeeping this bad boy.

Sweet but not cloying. Well blended. Reminds me of Vanilla 28 but replace patchouli with whiskey. The whiskey is subtle and provides depth. It also has an addicting freshly baked bread-like note to my nose which I love! I don’t get any noticeable plum or woody notes.

This was a successful blind buy that I got myself for Christmas. It very quickly became one of my faves. It reminds me of Kayali Vanilla 28 and nishane ani mixed together. Sweet and slightly boozy with a lot of depth. Lasts all day on skin and clothes.

It’s amazing , the reviewer below is right . It does smell like dandelion and burdock which is a drink here in the uk . I really love the scent profile on this . Don’t have anything like this in my collection

So fun and so yummy. Definitely strong but it's a good strong. I can smell the whiskey in there and I love it. Especially since I am a dark Liquor kinda girl. Tehe anywho she's a love for me.

A surprising great gourmand find. Vanilla and bourbon are beautiful together. Moderate projection and soft sillage.

This is my favorite from the line. It's a pretty, boozy vanilla that does down to a sweet Musk.

i love this! it’s much softer than i imagined it being and is the perfect combination of sweet and boozy without being too one note or loud. this is the boozy fragrance you can wear all fall and winter long without having to worry about the occasion not being appropriate or it being nauseatingly strong. highly considering a full bottle

Beautiful fragrance for autumn/cozy winter vibes. Strong bourbon vanilla opening, tonka and caramel with whiskey lingers. Best paired with an oil like vanilla to last longer. Only negative for me is it does not last long at all, maybe 1-2 hours. Turmeric latte by Lush is very similar, but with more spice.

If you like sweet, slightly boozy vanilla, this is your friend. Beware of a licorice-like opening (I think plum + cedar + booze = licorice). I have had it for more than a year, I think my taste evolved; I probably wouldn't repurchase, but it is good value for the price

Navitus Divine Aphrodisiac + Vivamor Ultimate Aphrodisiac = 20 Bourbon Brulee with some bitterness/harshness (from the whiskey & cypriol). Nothing more, nothing less. Exactly those 2 combined and I own both. Very very gourmand.

This one is interesting and different from the other fragrances I have, esp as it’s the only one that has a whiskey note. To me this is warm, a little spicy, sweet and intoxicating. It’s interesting and can’t wait to wear it!

This is a heady, boozy/sweet scent. It's a window into a night out in a dark bar, one that serves an excellent martini, while you sit in the corner and write.

As someone who is VERY picky when it comes to anything remotely in the gourmand family, I really like this from Ledda. I’m a huge fan of 22 Orris and this is the first release I’ve really liked: Vanilla Nera and Isla Coco were not for me. I was craving something woodsy-vanilla-y when it got colder, and even though the name Bourbon Brûlée communicated to me it was gonna be sweeter than I like, the notes had me interested. It’s sweet on the opening, but it quickly softens and warms to something smokier. I see why it’s being compared to By the Fireplace (which I wouldn’t wear but enjoy). So for the rarely-finds-a-vanilla-boozy-fragrance-id-want-to-wear person, I really like this.

I only own one Ledda scent so far (Isla Coco) and expected this to be another skin scent, but sadly I don’t even get that from Bourbon Brûlée. This is such a gorgeous scent for the brief moments I was able to smell it. It’s such a shame, but it doesn’t last (on me anyway). It’s opens with a really delicious vanilla and bourbon. It’s thick, a bit boozy, sweet, syrupy, thick, indulgent and comforting... but just a few seconds later and this is literally gone completely. So disappointing. Maybe it’s my sense of smell, but I just cant detect it at all. The price of Ledda perfumes are so cheap, it would have been such a great buy if I could just smell it longer.

This is a glorious, cold weather, alcohol laced vanilla scent, it is incredibly sensual! Slight detractor for me is that it dries down a little wood heavy, and it is not fantastic longevity wise. Definitely worth a sample though, the opening is just sublime!

Update on my previous review: I like this one, it has a beautiful opening, but ultimately I just found the dry down a bit too heavy on me. As a general recommendation, if you sample, give it a good while before you decide if this works for you.

Very heavy and oddly play-doughy to me. It's okay. It does remind me a little of Phlur vanilla skin with some additional booziness that comes off a bit synthetic. It's just okay. Not a love.

Does not smell high end in my opinion. Smells very similar to the mix bar perfumes. Those are like $20 maybe. It’s nice but not worth the price imo

I like whiskey and vanilla, but this has some strong woodiness that's not to my liking. I think it leans a bit masculine for me. Oh, well.

I’m definitely getting the whiskey and wood in this, but it reminds me of a candle at Christmas time. Not great.

My maker is a saddist❣️ While plenty of people can become anosmic or nose blind to ambrox/ ‘amberwood’ in this iteration to some degree or another- more likely the closer it is sprayed to the mares... alas, water- dirty water... usually I at least get a sniff- 2 if very fortunate prior to smelling absolutely nothing/ water ... I thought I may have gotten a refill or something but by some cruel twist of faith- this (I ❤️ bourbon vanilla or vanilla bourbon (I buy about 16 + total pieces of B&BW ‘Cozy Vanilla Bourbon’ ... I’m not attempting to make any bbw scent seem ‘elevated’ or the like BUT it IS in B&BW fragrances that I can generally find a nice stand in or alternative to typically ambrox heavy scents for Burberry Her - All Eyes on Her (bodycare & edp - it’s not identical but I enjoy her when in the mood for it. Now BR540 & the extrait are definitely not going to be anything more than a waste of $ unless wearing for others, perhaps someone special (I’m selfish w/ my scents 😹 I even have my left sniffing wrist where I bring my skin to my nose & if I’m wearing a schmoop or layering a pricey frag w/ an affordable on (a favorite is pink sugar & Gentle Fluidity Gold) & I will concentrate the $$$ one right there for my own sniffing pleasure)... it is NOT A ‘dupe’ (it’s the closest ones going to get w/o ambrox though & it is a store staple so you can get it in everything & anything) ‘In the Stars’ will do in a pinch 🤏, very nicely with some of BBW’s strongest scent profiles (to my nose) even the most lasts surprisingly long on clothes especially but the edp is very nicely- I like the bottle with it’s dangling golden charms... & newer to the everyday luxuries line is a Valaya schmoop called Infinite radiance. If you want this bottle, full, macerated minus very gentle testing only hmu. I have Mercari & I admin Facebook Fragrance Fanatics with Paul. Email- [email protected] & the ONLY thing I am NOT interested in as a collector- that’s right 🙅♀️ ambrox!

I originally bought the travel size, it arrived and I immediately ordered the full size. I was a little skeptical because I truly hated 18 vanilla nera and it has been compared to By The Fireplace and Jazz Club, which I also do not like, By the Fireplace reminds me of when my house nearly burnt down in a wildfire and my clothes smelled like smoke and fire for months. So between 18 Vanilla Nera being a fail and the By the Fireplace comparisons, I was going to skip out on Brûlée. But I'm so happy I got it. It's a very pretty, youthful sweet scent and long lasting. I've never done this in 35 years, I keep spraying this on all of my clothes I'm about to put on, even on my lounge around the house clothes. I think I'm addicted to this 20 Bourbon Brûlée!!!! My only complaint is its not long lasting. I get about 2 hours of wear before the scent disappears.

I’m in loveeee. Boozy bourbon caramel and woods! My dream fragrance for winter. I do find it leans a tiny bit masculine & it’s rather strong but the longer I have my bottle the more of the Caramel is coming out. For me it’s like if replicas jazz club and by the fireplace had a love child. Both of those I liked but never bought bc there was something overpowering about each. I’ve already gone through half my bottle in 6 weeks bc I can’t stop spraying myself lmao

This is a recent purchase for me so sometimes my nose has to adjust. For reference I hated Ledda Vanilla Nera for months and now it is a love. As of right now, I am very on the fence with this one. Bourbon Brûlée pulls very smoky to my nose. I think if the vanilla and sweet notes were a little stronger I would enjoy it more. I hope with more time it gets a little sweeter or my nose adjusts. For now this one is very unisex to my nose, which isn’t my preference.

Strangely sharp and perfume-y. It’s the whiskey note, I’m sure. Sweet buttery sugar and alcohol, but not clearly whiskey with it’s malty vanillic notes. This is just a super sweet perfume on me that suggests Caramel Sugar Perfume. A bit thin and cheap on my chemistry. Don’t like. Long dry down brings in more wood, but still not a love.

I just got this and have only sprayed a couple of times. It is very pretty. This one is dry and woody compared to Nest’s Vanilla bourbon which has a refined sweetness to it. Will let the LEDDA sit for a month to mature a little longer. Loving LEDDA so far just hoping for a little bit longer wear.

Did not like this at all The first thought that came to my mind was this smells like a vintage musty perfume Very strong as well and since I don’t like it I wasn’t able to appreciate it I may be in the minority but I don’t like this at all

Not sure about this one. The notes had me gripped... but upon first spray, it smells kind of cheap and very hair product’y ! I’m going to give this another try as the notes are up my alley... but for now... No.

It's beautiful. Longevity and sillage isn't too good though. It kind of reminds me of a British fizzy drink called Dandelion and Burdock in the dry down.

It was a ‘successful’ blind buy! Beautiful fragrance, has slightly dark feel to it but smells divine!
