Admittedly, I'm not the greatest marine scents enthusiast...😅 Mostly because I heavily dislike Calone!🤢 It plagues many marine creations, but luckily some brands manage to tame it, and others avoid it altogether... Obviously, I prefer the latter, and that's where Marinno shines too!👌 In the opening, there's a bright and sparkling blast of citrus! It mixes radiant bergamot, lemon, grapefruit and lime - acting like that sunny glimmer atop the flowing waves... Underneath the aforementioned notes, a vivacious pink pepper further enhances that "alive" feeling, while juniper berries add a slightly greenish tint, and lotus flower blooms into that watery blue feel. This combination of notes really feels like taking a dive through foaming waves into the actual water! As the scent settles down further, a touch of seaweed becomes evident, cleverly wrapped in sandalwood and oakmoss. These woody notes help balance out the seaweed, giving off that ocean-like quality, while washing out any inkling of fishiness. Then, the last pearl on this ocean floor is the ambergris and musk duo! They further reinforce the marine feel, with the ambergris releasing its seafarer charm, while the musk adds a touch of "messy out of the beach" deep into your skin. Overall, Marinno cleverly conveys all the facets of the sea, in a beautiful and Calone-free way!😁 From the seaside coastal air traversing the sun-kissed waves, to the slow and relaxing deep dive into the bluest and crystal clear ocean... Marinno flows true to its name! It feels energizing at first, like open skies and playful waves. And sequentially shows the deeper oceanic facets, as you relax and submerge into its bright blue beauty. Never overwhelming, but slowly encompassing... An idyllic swim through the pristine Summer we all desire! One of the rare marine scents I actually enjoy, and a lesson in oceanic storytelling!😁💙
