Accordo Viola

Accordo Viola is a lovely, gentle budget-friendly violet. It is simple but offers a mix of powder and freshness, modern and vintage to the wearer. When I wear it I imagine a damp morning in a dark green forest, with a few sun rays reaching the mossy soil where violets hide. I have tried many others and Erbolario's violet has it all - green peppery opening, sweet enchanting violet at the heart and a comforting woody finish. It is powdery, but nowhere near the powder levels of Guerlain Insolence (also nice but a bit much for me). Longevity is good, and projection is average.

I made some Erbolario purchases in hopes of finding cruelty free alternatives to my favorite designer fragrances. This fragrance reminds me a lot of Insolence. In fact, I think I prefer it. The longevity is of course very very small compared to Insolence, but Viola lacks the syrupy sweetness of the Guerlain fragrance that overwhelms me sometimes. Also, on the dry down, I am able to detect a beautiful, smooth vanilla that just blends harmoniously with the violet, without making it more sweet.

I love this vanillary violet. I spray it behind my ears and on my hair and it develops into a smooth warm vanilla scent flavored with powdery violets. I find this perfume has better silage and longevity in the warm weather. I constantly get wonderful whiffs of soft violety sweet vanilla in the summer when I wear it. However, it’s not necessarily a fresh summer scent.

lovely violet scent! i've been looking for a violet perfume for years recalling the good childhood memories it was linked to. unfortunately, like most other frangrances by l'erbolario, it doesn't last long and you have to spray it on clothes and hair to increase sillage. the middle notes remind me of paris by ysl (the original one that came out 25 or so years ago).

This is an exceptionally lovely powdery green violet. The body cream is magnificent as well. It's ideal for any time of year, any place at all. The cream pairs beautifully with all three Guerlain violets I love, L'Heure Bleue EDT, Apres L'Ondee, and Insolence EDP. Insolence, surprisingly, the least, and perhaps L'Heure Bleue, the most.

This perfume is like a dusty version of Bvlgari pour femme. It gives the feel of roaring twenties. It's a modern perfume, but it gives the feel of vintage.

L'Erbolario Accordo Viola features a fairly green opening of violet leaf. The sort of green on the verge of being metallic and ozonic, like the green aspect in Sa Majesté La Rose. There is also a peppery aspect mixed within. After about 30 or 40 minuites, the scent softens as the metallic greenness steps back and the powdery heliotrope and sweet violet reveal the tender heart of Accordo Viola. At first, the vanillic heliotrope mixed with a slight touch of white flower, is more prominent. But after about 3 hours, violet finally takes control till the end: gently sweet, powdery, with a cool iris nuance, very pretty. The sillage is moderate, and the longevity is around 9 hours. I think it's a lovely little number, the sort of pretty powdery violet, not extraordinary but for the price it's quite adorable. However, I strongly suggest testing before buying because of the green phase at the opening.

This is a bit to sharp for me with the violet leaf about sharp for my nose it is to ozonic. The vanilla does cut that down a bit but I prefer Guerlains Insolence. There is an herbal quality here as well. It smells extremely natural. Like dried violets from a garden. It's growing on me.... As it goes along it smells like violets pressed in a book. Reminds me a bit of viola nere but with more violet and less iris. Update to a like. Very natural smelling violet. I might want a bottle of this. It smells like what viola nere should have smelled like. I just needed to get past the ozonic blast of the violet leaf to find the beauty in this. If you want an extremely natural smelling violet. Like violets from the garden this is a good way to go. Superior to the more expensive Viola Nere.

I was in a sad mood while testing this one again, but I liked it enough. It smells a bit synthetical at beginning, but it settles down to a nice violet scent on my skin, not overpowering, very wearable and good as a springtime casual scent. It's not as big as classic Violetta di Parma. If you wear it in small amounts you will only have a pleasant smell wafting around. The ozonic edge is present but thanksgod only in the opening, then it's all about violet green leaves in their synthetical form and heliotropine and not so bad. It conjures up a nostalgic feeling. Nice for this price and better than many mainstream.

Initially this is a rather green scent, but it turns into a powdery violet with lots of vanilla. It is a sweet scent, sometimes it almost becomes a bit too sweet. I agree with the reviews calling this a nostalgic and comforting scent. The price is great and it does have good lasting power, I can smell traces of it on my clothes even after a laundry. All in all, it is a good violet scent.

I expected to be super impressed with Viola, but unfortunately I am not. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice scent but that's it. Om ny skin I only get violet leaf anf violets. Very green, indeed natural smelling musky violets. I can't smell that other notes. Yje more it stays on my skin, the muskier it gets. I don't get any vanilla. Longevity is about 5-6 hours.

Violets in a simplistic way. Wish it had more depth. It's quite watered down. Slight amount of powder and musk, but it's mainly floral. Great choice for younger violets fans. It's moderate silage, close to skin, comfy scent. I prefer more complex violets perfumes with depth and dimension. For a price it's a decent deal.

A beautiful, realistic violet. Got so many compliments for this one! And the body cream is to die for. It's simply a pure, powdery, elegant but modern violet. In my opinion very elevated and clean. Amazing job, L'Erbolario!

I love L'erbolario, and this one is perfect for spring: a powdery violet! Nice bottle, good perfume wich, at least on me has a good sillage and a quite good longevity. Everything at a non-expensive price

I had the same experience like "alina.gabriela". Heavy natural sweet violet. Guerlain Insolence, you can go home now. And great price tag. This will be my second purchase soon.

It smells a lot like Choward's violet candies. I've used this several time already, and each time the scent is fleeting- barely anything on me within half an hour.

This opens very green, soapy and a bit aquatic, less floral. It smelled better when I just bought it but now I do not enjoy how it has developed greener than before. Not a safe blind buy if you were looking for a delicate floral powdery fragrance. Harsher than what I expected. With time the green note subsides and it remains slightly sweet and soapy powdery but still I find it surprisingly heavy for a floral.

Accordo Viola by L'Erbolario is a straightforward violet fragrance in the classic Parmesan style. It could serve as an affordable alternative for fans of the now-discontinued Violetta di Parma by Borsani. The scent is soft, timid, and fresh, with a pretty simplicity that captures the essence of violet. The synthetic elements are well-utilized. Notably, the sillage is impressive for a violet fragrance.
