Amarena (Black Cherry)

Juicy dark cherry a la Lost Cherry. Base is reminding me of Te Nero by L'erbolario

No, just no. The notes sounded incredibly appealing when I read them here on Fragrantica, then I went to a L’Erbolario shop and actually smelled this fragrance and oh God, no. This smells like the result of a teenager mixing vodka and God knows what else to get drunk as fast as possible, as cheaply as possible. No saffron, no apples, no rose. Not even black cherry. Just alcohol and the faint memory of synthetic mystery fruit flavors in added to cheap liquor. Not that the bad smell a problem, since this lasted about 15 minutes on my skin... But that’s a very good thing, because this would’ve been one of the very few perfumes I would’ve tried to scrub off. I wanted to like this because the notes were so, SO promising, I like all of them, but somehow this just smells like bad booze.

L'erbolario si è discostato dalla sua linea originale per diventare come tutti gli altri, e adesso produce questa roba. Questo odore è troppo distante dalla natura, dalle erbe e dai profumi naturali. E' un simile a tanta robaccia di nicchia. Ho ancora alcuni profumi dell'erbolario degli anni 80, 90 e 2000 e avevano una loro logica, erano vicini agli estratti naturali di fiori semplici, mughetto, lavanda, vetiver, caprifoglio, muschio,sandalo,tuberosa, spezie, magnolia,garofano, assenzio, e poi altre cose tipo myrrhae, fiore dell'onda,mehaares,narciso, muschio bianco,iris,lavanda,ma poi hanno preso questa strada troppo elaborata di cui dubito la naturalità. Non c'era bisogno di diventare come gli altri, restare vicino alla natura e alla semplicitò era la chiave per restare originali.

Reminds me of a lighter, more floral-y version of Cherry Smoothie by Zara, which is in comparison even cheaper. Less than one hour and it disappeared on my skin. It is commercial and I can see why the general public would like it, but at this point I'd get Cherry Smoothie. It's pretty much the same thing but more intense, more long-lasting and cheaper.

It’s a creamy, vanillic black cherry. It’s not my cup of tea, because I am not really a black cherry fan but if you want a sweet black cherry, it’s worth trying. It smells like liquor. Really gourmand!
