Bouquet d'Oro

The Golden Bouquet by L'Erbolario is a fragrance that does exactly what the name promises: it evokes a "golden", warm and precious sensation. Launched to celebrate the beauty of yellow flowers and metallic reflections, it is a perfume that fits perfectly into the trend of amber and dusty fragrances. Don't be fooled by the name "Bouquet": it is not a fresh spring garden flower. Instead, it is a dense and enveloping fragrance. The Orange Blossom offers a timid hint of light at the opening, but is immediately overwhelmed by the beating heart of the perfume. Here Iris and Heliotrope dominate. The latter gives that typical "almondy" and powdery note which makes the fragrance soft, almost like a cloud of aristocratic powder. Vanilla, Tonka Bean and Amber create a solid base, sweet but not cloying (it is not an "edible" gourmand). It's a resinous warmth that stays on the skin for hours. Accessible elegance: It has a very "niche" feeling (similar to certain high-end iris-based perfumes) but at a herbalist's price. Olfactory comfort: It is a reassuring perfume, perfect for those who love to feel "clean" but with a luxurious and warm note. Not very summery: In excessive heat, heliotrope and tonka may be a little suffocating. For powdery lovers: If you can't stand the "powder" effect or the notes of Iris, this perfume is not for you. If you're looking for a comparison, imagine a brighter and less "dark" version of Iris (also by L'Erbolario). Where the classic Iris is almost melancholic and cold, the Golden Bouquet is vibrant, amber and, indeed, luminous.

Bouquet d’Oro is divine! It’s a stunning floral with depth, lasts well and smells expensive. I’ve tested a couple more from L’Erbolario but this was the highlight of the store trip and came home with me. The best 37€ spent on a full size bottle ever! It’s such an intoxicating and addictive floral scent that I had to have it, love at first sniff! While the notes are the same as in most of the fragrance today: vanilla, amber, heliotrope, orange blossom, iris and tonka bean, the scent is somehow different and too good to pass onto. Bouquet d’Oro is a powdery floral with sweet vanilla, tonka and amber. Sounds so simple but it so good. Lasting power is not as impressive as the scent itself but it’s still decent and for the money, this fragrance is absolutely worth it. Bouquet d’Oro is such an underrated and amazing floral! I don’t have any of the fragrances mentioned in the reminds me of section so I cannot comment if it’s smelling similar to any of those or if it’s supposed to be a dupe of any scent, but as a standalone fragrance this is amazing!

L'Erbolario Bouquet d'Oro is a wonderful new fall fragrance! On my skin it's very well mixed and it sounds amazing! My first impressions are super positive! Bouquet d'Oro on me shows powdery notes, warm amber and stunning benzoin/vanilla notes. It's cozy, it's warm, seductive, but not in girly and mainstream juicy/gourmand way. On me, it sounds more grown up scent with deep and interesting profile. It starts with neroli/white flowers vibes on the female side, but later it becomes more unisex, rich and complex. I feel also stunning almond note... I think Bouquet d'Oro is an unique scent, but it got some accords from fragrances like: Papavero Soave, Indaco, Ibisco, Ambraliquida by L'Erbolario and even Guerlain Shalimar... If you love super cozy, powdery and seductive, but still deep Fall/Winter scents - give it a try :) Again great work by L'Erbolario!

Powdery, sweet vanilla. That's it, that's the tweet. I love it personally, I love vanilla big time and this is perfect both as a standalone if you just want to smell good and it's good for layering. Nothing more I can say, just a really good, simple vanilla powder. Oh, and it has crazy longevity and projection, especially on clothes. I have to be careful not to overspray.

Hypnotic Poison Dior dupe. Like really good dupe. I got rid of Hypnotic Poison and kept Bouquet d'Oro. It suited me a tad better, it is a little less heavy on heliotrope and more vanillic and soft if this makes sense.

A stunning vanilla composition, creamy and underpinned by a bouquet of warm flowers. It captivates, indulges, and immerses. Unfortunately, it is fleeting and quickly becoming a gentle, whispering skin scent.

It's perfect blend of heliotrope, tonka bean and vanilla. It's a bit sweet, fluffy, airy, cozy. Very feminine. Well done L'Erbolario. It's a love from me :)

Very good dupe for Dior, but without medical undertone, which I do not like at all. Longivity is sooo goood. I love it.

So, I did it again. I had promised myself no more perfumes until next year and not until I had already finished up three of them but I could not resist the 50% sale on some of Erbolario's perfumes, this one among them. I had sniffed at an airport Dior HP and strangely I had seriously liked it. I remember to have actually quite hated it some years ago when trying it on at a perfume shop because too sweet and cloying, too much hazelnut and vanilla. So now that I liked it and wanted a bottle of it but couldn't afford it because really expensive for me right now I turned to cheaper versions and Bouquet d'oro was perfect. I've been using extensively the Erbolario products for a few years now and I know they are a really good value for the money, especially when they go on sale. I have also gifted some of their perfumes, be them for women or men, and people have quite appreciated them. So now I wanted and affordable version of HP and found it dirt cheap for only 11 euros for 50 ml. I sprayed it on my wrist and I simply love it. This one may not be the bomb of sillage and longevity like HP but God if it's worth it. The notes are so well blended that I could not pick one in particular even though vanilla and tonka bean are prominent and I can smell some flower note. This is such a reassuring and cosy perfume for autumn and winter be it night or day. It blends so well on my skin that I can't stop smelling my wrist and it puts a smile on my face. And the bottle seems like it's made of gold, it's really heavy and lovely. All in all, if you like gourmand perfumes and you want the HP but can't afford it, I would suggest to take a chance on this cheapie. Even at its full price of 22,90 euros for 50 ml it's still convient for its quality/price ratio. I know I will be using it a lot this autumn/winter.

I got it as one of the samples from L ́Erbolario (they are quite generous with samples if you order from their website) and today I finally tested it. I didn ́t expect it to be that sweet, the vanilla element is really prominent there. I also smell amber and tonka bean, I guess. I can ́t comment on the similarity with HP as I haven ́t tried it yet, but I noticed there is Valentina Poudre in the similar perfumes category. I have been interested in getting that fragrance for some time already. Has anyone tried both, Poudre and Bouquet d'Oro? Are they really that similar? I expected Poudre to smell more like a makeup powder (I love makeup powder scents) and Bouquet d'Oro is far from that, in my opinion. :) I don ́t even get any powdery note there, I guess my nose is still quite inexperienced as I ́m used to powdery notes in scents that have iris listed in them.

It's a sugary sweet powdery scent. Not recommended if you don't like sweet fragrances. If you like Cheirosa 59, chances are you'll like this one: they are not similar by any means, but they share a similar scent profile (powdery vanilla + sugar). It's absolutely delicious and soothing at the same time, but only for winter. It's young at heart: good if you're in your 20s, 30s and 40s at max. It can be cloying in spring and summer. Sillage and projection are powerful. Two spritzes are enough for people to smell you 6 feet away. I love it even though sometimes it can be too much for me too, because it's toothachingly sweet. But I adore it nonetheless and it's one of my favourite fragrances in my collection. Use with caution!

I got a bottle from Rome when I visited last summer. I liked the smell and bought it right away. After few min I noticed the similarity with hypnotic poison, one my all time favorites. HP is more mature and well blended. I’m comparing them side by side right now while writing the review HP is more warm, spicy and sexy.. I’d wear it only at night going to an event. Bouquet is more powdery, floral and less spicy which make it suitable also for the afternoon, spring times. I like HP more, but both are nice.

This was an almost blind buy. I only quickly sniffed in the store and I thought that was amazing (for that price!). I still think is good, but only now I realised this is a dupe (better to say a twin, a candid copy) of Hypnotic Poison Dior. Somehow I am disappointed by the lack of creativity and the clear steal of idea, but for that price if you are looking for a cheaper -inexpensive version of HP, there you have it.

This one reminded me of Ange ou Demon but also Hypnotic Poison (EDP), the difference between the Dior fragrance and Bouquet d'Oro is that the latter doesn't leave a very unpleasant note on my skin once dried down. I recommend for the fans of the Poison parfum, for me is a bit too sweet.

A more powdery and less sweet dupe for Dior Hypnotic Poison. I like this better. Less sweet. A Lovely vanilla powder.

The first thing that came to my mind at first is the resemblance with Dior Hypnotic Poison, which is a perfumery masterpiece of the 90s (not matter how much I personally dislike it) and apparently it still goes strong, since every other house is making clones of its DNA. L'Erbolario can do much better than this, but I bet that Bouquet d'oro is going to be a best-selling scent since it's way cheaper than HP and the formulation quality is undeniably high. I sense a very powdery, almost choking bitter almond, being the heart of some hard candies, covered in white vanillic sugar. It's very easy to over-spray.

I have to agree with the other commenter below. This is very similar to Dior Hypnotic Poison. The hunt for dupes for that expensive bottle is always challenging. I managed to get it for cheap, but one of these days, it will be gone. La Rive has one called Sweet Hope, but that one gives me a headache, and I feel Bouqet D'Oro is much better. This one is definitely less potent and syrupy than HP. It's softer, clean, powdery, but also not as potent. I could wear this in spring in summer, whereas I can't really with the HP. I love that it is warm and cozy, but soft.

A very nice offering from L'Erbolario, but to my nose, it smells almost identical to Dior's Hypnotic Poison. Now, that's not a bad thing at all. I will say the opening smells like a dupe for sure. Once the dry down hits, then I smell some difference between the two. Golden Bouquet has a more powdery, ambery dry down whereas HP has more of a vanilla/root beer dry down. Overall, it's really nice. If you short on cash and can't afford HP, get this one.

Smells sweet, but not sickening. It’s creamy and golden. It’s not groundbreaking but it’s nice and inoffensive. I wish the orange blossom were stronger, but it’s still a very pleasant scent.

I agree it smells like Dior Hypnotic Poison but to me it reminds me of Fragonard Daïma more! All three smell quite similar, though, and Daïma is discontinued sadly.
