Gelsomino Indiano

Carrot seeds festival on a budget price 🤎 A gem! So earthy, so round. They impart that kind of green/woody/earthy/solid/vegetables powderiness that only they can land to a fragrance. And for this reason only, if nothing else, this is so worth it for me. At times, the carrot seeds they used, almost even smells like fresh peas, but in a very good way. You can feel there is something special used to create the base. The flowers in this are plush and mature, yellow and intense. The jasmine isolates himself just in the opening, soon it rejoins the other flowers and a beautuful armony is created. Their mix remainds me a bit of the perfume tipycal of a particular kind of yellow/brown wild violets, that grows on forgotten urban areas where I live. Their smell is a mix between ripe yellow flowers and strong pollen. It is a touch dirty this jasmine, but more animalic like sweet honey then indolic. Sandalwood and resin are warm and cozy, well balanced between themself. The sandal is humid, not dry, not lactonic, not particulary creamy. The musk is well dosed and airy. The sweetness and spiciness go hands in hands, if there is indeed cinnamon then I am not able to pick that up. The spice are more of the fresh kind, something similar to caraway is also present, I think other reviewers are right in saying this is similar to Tom Ford Santal Blush, more so then Guerlain Samsara. This perfumes has diva vibes but done in a less classical, more unexpected way! Very valid perfume. I shall use it on summer nights when I want to smell sultry yet delicate, like those raw wild flowers I mentioned! Edit: I feel no citrus in this, all for the better!

Finally, the closest thing to discontinued Tsun Lai by Oriflame, (wich reminds me of my teen days & is still one of my favourite affordable perfume - such a classy oriental floral). I love ylang ylang, jasmine and tonka bouquet in this perfume. Gelsomino Indiano is a perfect little child of Samsara and Tsun Lai. It is not as powerful as Samsara, but it does smell completely alike. When you take the little whiffs around the sprayer you can smell girly Tsun Lai, but when you apply it on your skin, you get the older, more mature Samsara... I just love it, I highly recommend it for the price, if you, for example love Samsara, but can't really afford it right now...Of course, you will have to re-apply, but I still think this is a great deal. Especially if you're like me, and can't get over the beauty of Tsun Lai. Also, I love the bottle, very practical for carrying around. Plus, L'Erbolario calims to be highly ethical and enivromentally concious cosmetic line - all in all, a very feel good buy for me!!! 10/10

Wonder perfume, very strong benzoin mixed with tonka bean smell from the tester. Benzoin is a remarkable resin, according to a friend, an aroma substances expert. In ancient China, Benzoin was named as Mystical Incense That Brings The Death (newly die) Back. It was name that way due to the strong and lasting aroma that can last as room fragrance, even over night. Price of the perfume together with the body cream was very affordable. The first spray, it was not like the tester, a jasmine and sandalwood smell. I wear the cream and perfume to bed. I had hormone hot flashes issue in the midnight. The body heat brought out the benzoin and tonka bean smell. My pajamas and bedroom was fill with the aroma, even the next day. I didn't took morning shower to work, my body still have the trace of the perfume last night. Not a fully floral, a little bit of oriental style. Great perfume with great price tag. Sorry Sisley, you lose this time. Not really unisex, it's more on the feminine side.

Ho provato questo profumo un pomeriggio al centro commerciale, e dopo una partenza chiara, gioiosa e talcata-dolce si era decisamente rovinato: mi sembrava volgare, dozzinale e dolciastro, con in più una nota di... "cassetta di verdura al mercato" veramente da mal di testa. Però me ne avevano dato un campioncino, e oggi l'ho riprovato: non so cosa avesse il mio naso l'altra volta, perché è fantastico! Talcato dall'inizio alla fine, dolce al punto giusto, con un sentore caldo di fiori al sole... e dopo un po' emerge vagamente una nota che non definirei proprio "animale", ma che mi ricorda l'aroma che assume la pelle dopo che ci si spalma una crema profumata e si trascorre un po' di tempo all'aperto... un delizioso profumo di "pelle femminile profumata", ecco ;) Buono buono, e molto fine.

A gorgeously feminine perfume, in an absolutely beautiful bottle!! The colour is so stunningly pretty!!! It's a wonderful jasmine, sandalwood, beautiful benzoin (and as mylancome says, benzoin IS an incredibly beautiful and special note. I adore it!) and the tonka bean comes through in the beautiful dry-down. Ylang-Ylang features strongly throughout, which is delicious. The whole thing is truly delicious! Beautiful warm, spicy floral, creamy and potent. Lasts extraordinarily well, and stays beautifully in clothes, which gives me such a 'being caressed by my perfume' feeling all the time. I LOVE Gelsomino Indiano!!!!

This is a unique, enchanting jasmine fragrance which captures your senses immediately!!! It's like no other jasmine perfume. It does NOT smell like Samsara at all!!! Samsara has many chemicals and its scent is totally synthetic. Gelsomino envelops your skin with a dreaming velvety jasmine aroma and turns into a soft powdery veil of natural oils. But definitely made for women and NOT for men. L'Erbolario's site even says so!!!! It's a perfume made specifically for women.

Bellissima fragranza, fiorita, speziata, talcata. Mi ricorda molto Samsara di Guerlain.

Lovely. White floral turned to a deep, femme-fatale scent by the spicy, resinous core. The spices feel dry, almost bitter, balancing well the sweetness of the vanilla and ylang ylang (two notes that I personally dislike in most of cases). I was actually surprised to read that it contains citrus notes; they are pretty much undetectable to my nose, even if they probably help the fragrance to fold harmoniously. It ́s considerably smokier and sultrier than the clean, "happy" citrusy florals that I gravitate to, but I still bought it because I think everyone needs something "sexier" every now and then. I ́m still surprised by how much I ́ve been reaching for it. I just don ́t feel like using everything else.

This is amazing! I got it the other day, and I'm proud to say that this is will be the Christmas gift for my sister. Indian Jasmine is a luscious floral with a slightly soapy vibe. Clean and sort-of-narcotic at the same time...nothing overpowering, though. It' been love at first sniff and the more time went by, the more it became addictive. Wow ❤ PS: Indian Jasmin might be closer to Lush Lust (or Jasmin Rouge by Tom Ford) than to Samsara.

I like it! It's nice to wear a fragrance no one else wears and no one knows. I would say body cream is better than the perfume: smells sweeter, younger and less Samsara-like. And lasts for days on clothes.

Sorry it's not a review...but it's funny a person wrote he had this one: how is it possible, it has yet to come out?! :) Anyway, I can't wait to try it, the notes sound delicious!

Wonderful fragrance....it reminds me Samsara by Guerlain....a light versione..the notes are similar ...AMD Samsara is a word in sanscrite....coincidente? Anyway smells super....

Kinda like Samsara but different, ylang ylang is strong with sandalwood gives it the beauty oriental note, I love it!

Very indolic on me, the smell of poo fades eventually, but not soon enough. It becomes relatively pleasant in the end, but definitely not worth the awful phase it starts with. Sorry to spoil the good scores!

This is a big NO. Or it was? The first impression was absolutely negative. Samsara my a§*! No jasmine, no feve tonka, nothing. Just a blast of chemicals with a weird powdery note. I endured the smell just because I was out for shopping and had no bathroom to scrub it off. So I had to wait... Once at home after 1 hour or so I smelled it again and thought it was not so bad after all. I think the bad note came from something balsamic in it that was not yet dried. It smelled like Vaporub powder if it makes sense. And also like cheap jasmin soap but in a nice way. Nothing that I'm crazy about anyway. I washed it with soap, but as often happens it didn't go away. Now washed smells better and reminds me a little of Lush Lust but in no way Samsara and yet... it has something vaguely remembering it... I really hope nobody at Guerlain will ever think to reformulate (again) Samsara to this point! I will try Gelsomino Indiano again and I will give it more time to develop nicely without washing it.

This Scent is very close to Samsara only the first five minutes. After become a sort of powdery yellow flower, rich, full, very lady like. Then turns once more into a pink creamy baby lotion. Very 1910 till 1989 after sun. so tiare talc. Nice. I like. Vintage. It has trace of 2 perfumes of L'Erbolario, Iris in the talc/powder face and the animal notes of Mehares. Midnight00 here below has chosen the right nik: because he DREAMS if he really thinks that in here he can find an only one drop of real jasmine which cost 25€x 1 ml. This fragrance costs 20€. And is Syntethic as Samsara is. Maybe a Guerlain is less synth of the niche. Natural oils are used only by those who strongly remark They Use Only Natural Oils having a hand on a bible.

Very distinct base of carrot seeds + sandalwood combo, similar to the same combination you find in Tom Ford's Santal Blush. If you like one, you'll like the other. Don't believe me? Try it yourself, compare and get pleasantly surprised - the rest of the ingredients in the pyramid are similar (even more similar than pyramid of Samsara, which is the most voted resemblance!). As not everyone has the option to compare, in hope that my reviews either save someone money or help them discover a better version of their favorites, I try to be as precise as possible to describing resemblances and differences to the best of my senses.

I smelled it today. Didn't like it. I'm not crazy about jasmine, but I like it. But this is really too sweet. I don't think it reminds Samsara as someone says, absolutely not. It's very similar to Flower by Kenzo to me. Too sweet. From l'Erbolario I only like Fiore dell'onda, Meharees, 3 Rosa and Fiori chiari. Try these if you have the occasion.

I was about to purchase this but then I left it because I feel it is more for very young girls or women who don't like strong fumes. Anyway a very nice sweety ,pleasent and quiet. Well done ,but not for me.

This is a pleasant surprise! It smells way expensiver than it is. It’s a strong, natural smelling jasmine with a spicy touch. Very oriental and sensual. Has a 80’s vibe. Not a safe blind buy!
