Gin Botanicals

L'Erbolario Gin Botanicals smells like the botanical atmosphere of a gin tonic rather than the drink itself. The funny thing is that the name is both accurate and misleading at the same time. Yes, it absolutely captures the vibe of gin tonic with the herbs & the aromatic freshness, but no, you do not smell like a cocktail. You smell like someone who drinks sparkling water with mysterious herbs in it and somehow has their life together. This feels made for warm weather. It smells perfectly office-safe: fresh, clean, but still interesting enough that people notice you smell good without getting their noses assaulted by your perfume. As with almost all of L'Erbolario's fragrances for me, longevity - short lived, projection - subtle. And as someone who usually dislikes citrus perfumes because they remind me of bathroom cleaning products... this never goes there. Everything feels smooth and well blended.

This house is one of my favorites and they keep delivering! Gin Botanicals smells so good, very balanced and herbal, with a gorgeous bitter juniper note I absolutely love and find very unique. Sillage and longevity are modest, as expected from L'Erbolario. Beautiful summer scent, outside the classical citrus/seaside box. Please don't ever discontinue it !

I rarely rate perfumes anything but unisex but to my dismay this read masculine-leaning on my skin. But I snapped up their Ginepro Nero (“for men”), which feels like the aromatic juniper breeze I had hoped for with this! If you’re in the market for juniper, I would definitely try both at the shop. This brand is always worth a try - sometimes the soaps and creams smell better, sometimes the scents.

This is nice. It’s fresh, green, a bit sweet and herbal. It is totally safe but smells more elevated than your usual citrus-herbal fragrance. More masculine than feminine in my opinion.
