Winter is slowly approaching, yes there is autumn before, it is enough to look at the color of the leaves on the trees and at the perfumes that we can feel in the air that announce gradually but surely the end of summer and the beginning autumn, rain, humidity, I think I'll soon turn on my sofa and I’ll tune the radio on my favourite station while reading you. But why do I talk to you about all this, when I should talk to you about a perfume? I love perfumes I have but I actually use almost the same every day during winter, and during summer I change but I like to find the same bases in them. So, winter coming in, I put on my indigo suit every morning and a generous whiff of Indaco by L’Erbolario. I could describe this perfume as androgynous, although I do not have an exact definition of androgyny: In fact especially for me, is the most common state of mind. But when I wear this perfume I do not go unnoticed, and it is not worth it to put a lot of them, anyone can follow my trail. It fits perfectly this rainy days and has a little melancholic side provided by a dampened combo vetiver plus patchouli. An oriental note in this perfume undoubtedly gives it a magical side, a little casual too, like a hazy impression of traveling somewhere. A pale woody side almost bleaches a dusky drydown, and a slightly lemony hint also gives its brightness: in fact, a zesty kick becomes apparent at first, and slowly fades away. Surely a keeper and far better than the usual production of L’Erbolario.

No wonder I love this! With vetiver, tonka bean, patchouli and vanilla which are the pillars of an oriental, sexy perfume this perfume is as sexy as it gets! Do not be put off by its somewhat incense-like opening.. this perfume can easily compete with high end brands and it is a perfume you will not regret buying if you love oriental fragrances. It is true, it is not giving you a Versace Black Crystal sexy kitten vibe, neither a Prada Femme that is more like a majestic puma ready to devour anyone their way. But Indaco is still a feline who can fend off on its own, powerful, fearless, luxurious and it is meant to be worn with confidence by equally men and women. I get amazing staying power with this, with sprayed perfume smelling on my clothes for a good 3-4 days! The sillage is also outstanding and you only need to spray twice - any more and it can easily be overwhelming. I got this back when it came out, must have been winter 2017 and the juice still goes strong, almost 5 years in (I use it sparingly). I strongly recommend for lovers of oriental fragrances to give this a try- the price does not break the bank and the 30 ml bottle can easily fot into the smallest make up bag in your purse. I hope they never discontinue this- as a Scorpio woman I can easily say it represents me. Like me, it is complicated, mysterious and deep. It needs its time (and yours) to fully unfold but when it does, you will marvel at what it has to offer you. Buy it, no need to thank me later.

I thought I'd pop on here and write a quick review on the lovely creation. I bought this from in Ebay seller in Italy, so it took a while for me to get it. The opening on me has a bit of an aftershave quality, which is probably caused by the citruses. It's not overwhelming, but somewhat noticeable. Then the cacao and patchouli come into play and the aftershave note goes into the background. I also get hints of vanilla and tonka on my skin as well. To me, it's more of an oriental gourmand. It's not candy sweet and definitely unisex. Indaco is unique and very warm for late fall and winter. I also think it's a great night scent as well. Longevity is around 6 hours on my skin with moderate sillage. The seller I bought from also gave me samples of the body cream and shower gel to layer. The body cream is really nice too and smells like the fragrance. I think if you layer, it'll last much, much longer. I think if one was a fan of fragrances like Black Orchid, TM Angel, Velvet Orchid, YR's Cocoon, you'd like this unusual fragrance as well. Overall, I'm really digging this new release from L'erbolario.

This is THE BEST oriental, woody fragrance that you can get for a low price! I discovered this fragrance trough my aunt who is also a big perfume lover. She knew I had a taste for sexy, oriental, sweet fragrances, so she automatically gave the bottle to me to test it. I IMMEDIATELY fell in love with this fragrance! The opening is strong, definitely not for the faint of heart. I get this very sweet cacao mixed with the slightly bitter smell of vetiver. The smell can definitely be described as gasoline like some other people say. Throughout the whole wearing process, the fragrance changes constantly. You have the sweetness, but then it suddenly starts smelling bitter and spicy. The drydown is very pleasant= mostly vanilla and amber. I don't get much of the citrus smell. This fragrance is definitely unisex. If you want to smell expensive on budget, this would definitely be my recommendation!

Beautiful. Unique. I love it. Deep, dark, intense. I don't get the citrus, maybe in the opening, for less than 5 minutes. Then I get the dry and powdery cocoa. After half an hour, the sweet vanilla-tonka note comes, mixed with the green note of vetiver and astringent geranium. A real gem from the Italian house. Smells expensive and very distinctive. To me it smells like autumn in a bottle. Green, dry and sweet in the same time. The color of the bottle depicts the color of the twilight sky in autumn. A cross moment between day and night, between sleep and awakening, between summer and winter. If you are into deep, dark, polarising, nonconventional fragrances, you might like this one.

More of an oriental floral with gourmand nuances. Very nice mix. Opens with a cedar-citrus-berry blast, heart ist full of flowers (violet, geranium and rose, consciously I get no magnolia) on a sweet tonka powdery background, drydown patchouli-vanilla-vetiver. It is rather sweet but pleasant with an edge from vetiver. I get the comparison with "Black orchid", but I like this one better, although not quite my taste. After washing my wrist, still there! Longevity and sillage are serious. Not really on the masculine side. Much above the average gourmand scents. More oriental than floral. Nice for autumn and winter.

I had this one but I gave it to my very ezotheric Mom becouse she love this scent very much.It is a strange, unique scent I can't comapare it for nothing, warm, long lasting indigo scent.If indigo colour should have a scent this will be...It can be unisex, but I like it to women.It is wery deep and dark...absolute no citruses on it. All of the base notes yes and a bit of middle notes. I like it, a real unique parfum.

The dry down is so addictive! A very delicious gourmand fragrance. The opening is quite fruity and floral, I wasn't too impressed to be honest but now I can't stop smelling my wrist. Reminds me a bit of a niche version of Ultra Male, more complex and polished (defiantly not a clone). Unisex indeed. As usual, great quality from L'Erbolario!

This is basically super powdery cocoa/patchouli. The powdery not is quite consistent but the drydown is so lovely with plenty of cocoa and tonka. Wonderful fragrance for winter and quite unisex, if you are in the mood for it... it's indeed very strong and as always for patchouli, one should use caution.

Very nice perfume. It's a sweet but adult perfume. You can smell the cocoa powder, vanilla, vetiver, amber and geranium all wrapped in powder. I love it. I think it's more a womanly than masculine perfume, although I'd like it on a man too

This is honestly a hidden gem - I can't believe it's made by a cosmetics brand, and not some kind of niche house. It literally smells like the night sky, if that makes sense. They really picked the perfect bottle color for this fragrance. There's something salty in there that reminds me of being at the seaside at nighttime, along with the citruses and vetiver. Then there's a bit of a soapy floral note, like nocturnal flowers in bloom, but the base notes are unexpectedly warm, leathery and powdery. There's no actual leather listed there, but I could have sworn the combination is very similar to high-quality suede. The cacao is hard to discern on its own, but it's also very prominent, providing a slightly bitter and dry aspect to the scent. The only reason I'm putting it into my "liked" and not "loved" category is that I don't see it working that well on me personally, and it definitely takes some time to adjust to it. In my opinion, Indaco needs to be worn by someone with a striking boho or avant-garde style, and an equally bold personality. Very witchy.

A retro perfume ... it is a journey through time towards an ancient era of beautiful ribbons and laces. Smelling it is like opening the wooden drawer of an ancient sideboard, where spices, dried flowers and cocoa powder are kept. At the opening it is dry and slightly pungent due to Geranium but the heart warm up immediately and is a riot of bitter (very bitter) cocoa powder, tonka, patchouli and vanilla sprinkle. The base is powdery and rich in benzoin. For me it is a magic. Certainly an unconventional fragrance that however is addictive in some way and that makes you feel embraced. Certainly unisex. A novel perfume, from the Victorian era. Sometimes it makes me think of Christmas Eve and cozy wool sweaters. I really like it. If it were a color: Indigo (fits him perfectly) If it were a historical period: very early 1900s If it were a movie / TV show: Downton Abbey If it were a feeling: Nostalgia If it were a season: Winter (it fits perfectly twilight sky in winter) P.S. excellent duration and sillage ... I feel it all day long.

Strange opening: the citrus part is neither strong enough to give you a real fresh start nor so gentle to mix well with the sweetness immediately underneath. I’d say let’s forget the citrus part, which in any case begins to forget itself very quickly, lasting only two short minutes to be generous. Then it’s all warm cacao, softened by some creamy vanilla and animated by the vetiver. The result on my skin is a sort of sea salt chocolate gourmand. Not bad at all.

Dark, bitter, dry, very powdery cacao with medicinal and retro vibes. For me, the powderiness is overwhelming, but it remains an intriguing scent. Long-lasting with projection. It’s potent and can be headache-inducing, especially at first spray. In the dry-down is more ambery, with the bitter notes slightly toned down. I would recommend not blind-buying this one - while it's affordable, its uniqueness requires a test. I'm puzzled by the scent, can't say that I love it, but I think it's interesting. Despite its unusual character, I receive compliments when I wear it. I think it's because the projection is less bitter and more enveloping than what you experience up close. I don't wear it often because it's so strong it makes me feel dizzy. I think it's better on clothes than on skin, and it lingers on clothes for up to a week (no kidding). As the days pass, the scent becomes more pleasant for the wearer.

I strongly dislike this perfume. The opening is promising, like a powdery feminine fragrance mixed with a delicate hint of good, woody-balsamic aftershave. But after few seconds, the fragrance turns bitter and stale. I can ́t pick a single note out of this mess. It ́s not the skin, even the tester smell confusingly bad. For me, its just pure olfactory chaos... that said, you may be of a different opinion and that ́s totally fine. I ́m one for simple, classic perfumes I think. Just be sure to smell it and try it before you buy.

Can't agree more with Whit because I also received my Indaco from Italy, surely the same Ebayer... Very good perfume but not 100% my taste, I get the powdery cacao but no patchouly for my nostrils... Should definitely stop blind buying...

I have a strong love for patchouli fragrances and I bought this perfume blindly based on all of the wonderful reviews below. Huge mistake. This perfume is not pleasing at all. It reminds me of an old lady who dusted herself heavily with talcum powder and doused herself with an entire can of hairspray. All I smell with this is powder and really strong hairspray. I don't like how it smells in the dry down or on my clothes. Really a disappointing fragrance which is quite sad because I can't even think of a time when I last disliked a fragrance.

I've just returned from Italy with a 10ml travel size of this, along with other fragrances from L'Erbolario, and I wish I had splashed out the £30 or so it would have cost me to buy 100mls. Ridiculously inexpensive for the quality, this is a lovely unisex oriental. I get no cocoa from it, just gentle balsams and woods with a cooling lick of vetiver and geranium. Longevity is excellent, lasting all day as a skin scent that is highly appropriate for wear to the office or to functions where you don't want a showstopper to knock 'em dead. I'd liken it to L'Air du Desert Marocain in its breadth of wearability - and that is exceptionally high praise from me, as LDDM is my Holy Grail for wearability. A wholehearted recommendation from me. Go out of your way to try this brand, it is worth it.

It's true the background notes are very good (Smell like the ones you can find in both Passion by Liz Taylor) But to get there we have to go through something very strange, weird. Just sprinkled I hear nothing but a vague smell of alcohol and glue. Then there come up talc and aromatic notes, sort of artemisia talc. But this classic talc seem to be mixed with notes such as vinyl, leather, synthetic vanilla, gasoline, industrial aroma. It looks like plastic talc. Figure to Cross a Forest made of faux leather. Weird fragrance. Nice.

I love it!!it's sweet and powdery ..I can feel cocoa powder and I think is unisex fragrance! it's similar to T Ford Black orchid,Angel Muse and Guerlain Homme
