Ombra di Tiglio

I am praying the Gods of perfume, beauty and love to have this back.. probably they heard my lament since I just took part in an L'Erbolario survey on what scent should be brought back, I hope they will do it again as they did with Mandorla and the others, finger crossed! This is something similar to Jo Malone French Lime Blossom, Something Blue by Oscar de la Renta, and it is beautiful, hope they will bring back Acacia (based on the elusive black locust)and Mimosa too. There seem to be some confusion on linden blossom and lime blossom, in English they have the same name but they smell very different, this one had the honeyed tiglio/ tilleul/ linden blossom from the tree that makes no fruit.

Lime blossom, musk, lily and citrus are the most immediate and dominant notes. The pretty blend of these pleasant notes sit on a creamy green base. I like its simplicity and what's more, the lime blossom stays authentic the whole time you wear it. It smells like you are 14 and it's summer. You're sitting in your grandparent's garden in a cooling shade of a big linden tree and everything is alright. It can be worn anytime you need its comforting embrace.

I have the plesure to smell linden blossoms in full bloom every day when the tree is blooming. In the back of my house there are 2 big linden trees. I bought this one because it really brings in mind these trees. It`s a comfort scent to me especially for spring and summer. Has the white flowers spirit upgraded with a good green lemony note and -thank god- no vanilla undertone! Sillage and longevity are moderate, perfect for a day scent

Super fresh! Green and crispy! It smells like totally alive,healthy and so clean! Reminds me the sense i have when i put on face moisture cream.

I love Linden. The real flower. But i couldn t find the honey/intocxicating side i find walking on a road of lindens in any linden fragrance yet. This is a fresh soapy cologne that make me think to something of the 1800, the soap bar of Mugler's Cologne and in the firsts 20 minutes of the fragrance: pure fresh sperm. Really, the same sweet salty acidity. Non credo ci sia qualcosa di naturale in nessun profumo né dell'erbolario né di altri di profumetia tradizionale. Eccetto qualche agrume. Rivolgiti alla nicchia.. ma anche lì capirai...

I'd love to read more reviews of this. I have it, and enjoy it. It's nothing special, but light, citrusy-sweet, and slightly powdery. I enjoy the drydown the most, and it lasts rather long on my skin. I don't think it smells like semen.

You either love it or hate it. Might not be as impressive as an actual linden tree, but, for me, comes very close to that. Has a clean powdery, soapy finish, starts with fresh cut flowers and honey. Pretty grown up scent.

Very handsome and a little bit narcotic, flowering amber a lot irritant..

I'm on a hunt for the perfect linden blossom scent now that my beloved Parfums D'Orsay Tilleul has become increasingly difficult to find. For some reason I was expecting this to be a soliflore linden fragrance with little to no development, but with the first spray I've discovered that it's not the case. This opens up with a very nice fresh linden note, but even in the beginning you can detect the hefty amber base. As the fragrance develops I find that the linden blossom fades to a barely-there note as the scent becomes more and more amber-centric. Amber in this reminds me of amber in Alien(Mugler) a lot. Does this smell nice? Yes. Does this satisfy my linden craving? Not really. I would have to put up with several hours of Alien amber in return for 10-20 minutes of linden in the opening, which I don't consider to be a fair trade-off.

The lilies ruin it for me, I just get sharp and sour, instead of my expected sweet linden blossoms (d'Orsay Tilleul is a gorgeous version of that). On the other hand, the candle smells much better.

Finally I can review this perfume! It has come back in a limited edition - 15 ml at 15€, or 125 ml at roughly 40€. I got the 125 ml. So, linden blossom is perhaps my very favourite smell in the world. Unfortunately, linden perfumes are rare and hard to find, mostly they are niche and quite expensive. Here, this perfume is fairly inexpensive (especially the 125 ml), and features linden as the main note, so obviously i had to check it out! Finally. Notes wise: On a blotter, this comes off very citrusy at first, a little sharp, and then gets very soapy. On my skin though, it smells way softer, not sharp at all, sweeter, and more complex. The citrusy notes are barely there; I mostly smell linden from start to finish, while the lily and the neroli/orange flower appear after a little while, in a not-sharp soapy way. I can also smell some musk in the background, but really, not that much, and the other notes listed I couldn't really smell. Especially the amber - I couldn't perceive it at all. This perfume smells 90% flowery, to me, with a lil bit of citrusiness and muskiness in the background. The linden note smells indeed like linden. It is not 100% photorealistic, but it is quite close, and you can tell it is linden when you smell it. No mistake there. I find this perfume very endearing, very feminine (though men can wear what they want obviously), very clean smelling, flowery, springy, summery. I love it. It is actually way better than I imagined it, and the blotter test really didn't do it any justice. Performance wise, it is a bit weak, two sprays can be worn even in the hot summer imo. Lasting power is moderate. Update: this has been growing on me SO much! It's actually one of my favourite perfumes, now, and definitely it is one of the best by this house. It has a Dyptique feeling to it.

Dry talc. smells like orange flowers, lily of the valley and lime soap, also. smells like a freshly pigiama. freshly bed sheets and pillowcases in the 80s. freshly washed hair with shampoo. smells like a classic fabric softener. laundry detergent in powder, or bar soap. or shampoo. Can't say. Every single sweet Grandmother should smell like that. Also good for a mother with a dozen of children, or an old-fashioned elementary school teacher. Very Clean. Super clean cologne poudree irisee. Unisex finally. Maybe this is one of those perfume you wear to stay at home alone and do not feel so lonely. Romantic shy nostalgic fragrance.

I got it as a gift for Chrismas. When I first sprayed it on, I smelled only sour honey on my skin. So I didn't reach for it in winter. Recently I gave it another chance and I was pleasantly surprised how beautiful it bloomed in warm weather. To me most of the time it smells like lillies. Gorgeous blooming bouquet of lillies. Though in the dry down it becomes a bit more powdery and soapy clean, I do enjoy it. I'm gonna wear this one a lot during these days.

Beautiful "nature" floral. I think that's the yellow floral. Smells very "green" but in a flowery way.
