Petali & Fiori

This is so beautiful for spring! It has just returned on L'Erbolario web site and its retailers as limited edition, 125ml for 39,90 € and 15ml for 14,50 €. Very good choice of formats. This is a blend of different delicate flowers on a bed of ice and almond milk! I think the pyramid is more similar to the old version, there is some light, algid lilacs, diaphanous orange flowers with none of their classic sweetness, some green jasmine, candid fragile rose and so much dew. There may be the new addition of violet leaf but the anise flowers and almond milk are still in the composition, even if not declared in the notes. To the point that the dry down resambles that of Blu Indaco from Giardini di Toscana. The effect is fresh but not as in a freshy/citrus fragrance...this is gelid petals, fragile, smelled when the dew on them has crystallised because of the low temperature. It imparts this delicate but resilient aura, trough a veil of powderiness, glossy, humid powderiness (not chalky at all), there is for sure a strong powdery accord, to the point of resembling baby wipes but more elegant then that. The dry down is sweetened however, the anise very gentle (more its flowers then the essence), the almond milk stands out, very creamy. All in all a very enjoyable composition, which express serenity, calmness, cleanliness but also the sense of something untouchable, detached...out of reach and ephemeral. Last well for this type of composition, at least 5 hours, in line with the new L'Erbolario offerings, sillage goes from moderate to intimate. I think I will buy the 125 ml too. In terms of imagery it is true what the user below me said, this is Sofia Coppola's "The Vergin Suicides" in a smell, both their innocence and innocence lost conveyed; also the voyeurism described in the book...the detachment with wich the boys are forced to look at them, their clothes, their makeup, their paper flowers, their beds, all the things the sisters left behind. They never truly touched them, separeted by a translucid veil of coldness. Man, I love when someone else other then me makes this connections, makes me feel less weird ✨️ Now that I think about it it gives Lars Von Trier Melancholia vibes too, or maybe it just makes me think of the early beauty of Kirsten Dunst. Soul touching and romantic like a The Jesus and Mary Chain song. As for comparisons, it smells just like Harajuku Lovers "Baby" but more floraly and less musky; it's also very very similar to Intimissimi "Intimissimi" (the discontinued original one in the cylindrical transparent packaging) and Intimissimi's "Innocente", but just a tad more fresh and with a sweet drydown (given by almond milk). The dry down alone almost smells like Lush Twilight, another love of mine (probably it's the almond/tonka and some lilac flower/anise flower because in this there is no lavander like in Twilight). Also this is more powdery and floral then Bvlgari's "Petits & Mamans" which is more green, hey/herbal. It's also very reminiscent of Helan's "Fiori di Talco" but that one is more powdery, in Petali e Fiori the powdery part is more translucent, less concrete, more airy. L' Erbolario "Iris" and Lorenzo Villoresi "Teint de Neige" are both iris centric, their powderiness more specific to one element, more warm and dense, and they are more classy and mature. Here, in comparison, the powderiness has a more ephemeral, ethereal and abstract nature, and it is more free and young. It is almost the same as Blu Indaco by Giardini di Toscana, but this came out way before that one and it is less warm and sweet. It doesn't smell at all like Flower by Kenzo, only the genre is similar (that one is L'Erbolario Accordo Viola), those are strong violet based as it is Duchessa di Parma. The new notes given by the brand are: -Bergamot -Orange Flowers, Rose, Violet Leafs -Vanilla, Musks But many of the old pyramid is still present.

Petali e Fiori is a white flowers perfume made of crushed pulpy petals, with no added sweetness to it. It is a bit intense at the beginning but then the iris or the orange flowers make it become somewhat powdery like baby scents. The scent maintains a spicy character until the end thanks to the lily and the jasmine and maybe star anise. There is a bitter vegetal feeling to it which doesn't go away from the tender powdery take. A perfume good for all occasions, all age groups, one to use in delicate social situations. A perfume with a delicate feeling, in the way of Prada's Iris.

My mom has it and I like it if she dont wear it all the time. Its a little bit tiering has I'm not a lover of jasmin. The scent is like baby powder, fresh and a little bit arsh in the beggining but then it dryes and gets powder, powder, powder! Not my thing but isnt bad. A think it has a strange similarity with Anais Anais, but this time Petali & Fiori dont have the leather note.

This smells like a young girl in a white dress. This is "The Virgin Suicides" and any Sofia Coppola movie in a perfume form. It is innocent but intellectual, it smells like an old soul in a young body. It is the youth of spring. I don't get just one flower, it is well-blended, but I definitely smell the hyacinth. Beautiful

Powdery, creamy fragrance. Full of mild flowers. Powdery, but not heavy talcum. Imagine soft, creamy body lotion with a touch of delicous, not-in-the-face flowers (and for me something similar to almond). Good name; petals.

@ Sistertricked: you are right, in "Petali e Fiori" there is also Star Anise, which is not listed in the notes up here. Another missing note is Almond Milk, that contributes to the creamy accord of this perfume.

I really like this one! Yes it's not innovative but is really soft, kind and elegant!

If you are looking for an affordable scent that smells powdery or creamy, depending on what you mean by that, you'll do fine. Petali e Fiori is fine and elegant fragrance.
