Purple Rose - Rosa Purpurea

Beautiful, elegant rose. The opening is a tart floral, with lively mandarin and seductive rose dancing on your skin for a good couple hours. Then the citrus note dies down and an elegant iris appears, mellowing down the fragrance to a beautifully elegant, clean, yet still heady rose. It’s definitely a more powdery, vintage, at times even soapy fragrance, but it doesn’t come off as grandma-ish; it dries down after slightly over 6 hours to the smell of skin that’s been washed and moisturized with rose-fragranced soap and lotion. I love this perfume. It’s very feminine and “polite” (definitely not a punch in the nose, as the projection is good but not extreme), yet if you want to read it into it, it still winks at you: it’s the kind of perfume one could wear in a formal context, but also to a date night; it’s seductive but not sexy; womanly to a fault. Doesn’t necessarily steal the spotlight, but will help you get it if that’s what you desire, no matter your age or looks. I wear this in the spring and autumn, though I won’t lie — I’m a bit obsessed, so sometimes I still reach for it in the summer and in the winter. Great for a regency-inspired day, or a romantic night out. Absolutely recommend.

Beautiful rose perfume, ideal for fall and winter. Very well blended in my opinion, can take you from day in the office to night. To me it smells like Christmas for some reason, I do not know if it is the red bottle or the red rose packaging (I got mine last Christmas as part of a gift set with a make up bag and a mini tub of the its own body cream)- it is warm, invitingly sweet but not cloyingly sweet. The red rose smells like you have just snapped one and it is not synthetic to my nose at all. (Unlike the Paris Hilton Rose Rush perfume that just smells like a granny perfume from back in the 80s). Girly enough to be worn by a romantic teenager but can easily be worn by someone over 35 very easily, even a mature woman who loves roses and an overall beautiful perfume that does not scream "seduction" but "timeless class" instead. I like how sophisticated yet uncomplicated this is. I actually wore this to church and I thought it did not aggravate. It has not disappointed me- Erbolario is a very trustworthy brand for me when it comes to their perfumes.

Last summer I discovered L’Erbolario perfumes in Sienna. I bought two of them including this one. L'Erbolario perfumes are high quality and each one special. Rosa Purpurea is a fresh bright rose that certainly suits mature women, but equally suits young ladies. The fragrance is present throughout the day. Really, these fragrances are not inferior to perfumes of well-known expensive brands. And the packaging is gorgeous. It’s a little treasure.

Feminine, enveloping, sensual, largely citrus fragrance: rose petals left to macerate in the sun, in the harsh citrus notes of mandarin, with joyful white floral accords and green notes of crystalline evanescence. On the dry down, the notes of Iris emerge immersed in reassuring and reinvigorating musky notes. Lively fragrance, which can be admired.

I very much like this rose: a bit stingy, sour yet fresh and balsamic. Soapy on the dry down, but very relaxing and lovely to wear. Not your typical modern sweet rose perfume, it makes me think of a fresh rose with its thorns.

If not very challenging, this new addition to the Erbolario line is very likable. Soft, velvety full-bodied roses plunged into tangy citrus notes; it has a legit Turkish delight vibe. I feel like there is a geranium note as well, making the opening green and aromatic. A savory shower of red rose petals, both warm and cool, that lasts and lasts, turning into a clean musk/rose base at the end of the day, Purple Rose makes for a nice fall/winter floral for rose afficionados. For me it is an affordable 'red' version of Chloe Roses (pink ribbon). Also reminds me a bit of Amor Amor.

A tart orange with lots of tart red roses. Almost fruity roses. There is the smell of dried herbs here as well. A dry powdery iris in the base. A man could wear this and this was my husband's favorite of the day. If you like easy tart everyday rose fragrances this is a nice one. I would have named this fragrance Harvest Rose Or End of Summer Rose There is an herbal quality here that makes me think of the harvest season.

Nice, etheral smell. Nothing extraordinary though. More like a body spray, as the logevity and sillage is almost none. I smell very similar notes as in Cabaret by Gres, except for the drydown.

I have the hand cream and to me it smells similar to the body shop British rose. There is a prominent green rose in this fragrance. I was expecting a more opulent rose scent, a bit like potpourri rose, a bit like vintage rose, but this is not it. This is a fresh rose (petals and stems) and very green/vegetal smelling.

Unusual Rose. It has this bitter birchwood smell, like gum, petroleum, gas, which come prominent step by step Smell also clean, Soapy, like demake up detergent. A bit powdery, ash like, and thornes and woody and cold fruits. A lot of contrast. Not my kind but interesting. Very unisex

This is pleasant. It’s a fresh and fruity rose but not super sweet. It smells feminine and has a nice soapy quality to it. At the same time, i think it works in the evenings without problems. It’s sensual, mature and relaxing. Well done.
