Vaniglia

There is a lot more going on in Vaniglia than just plain vanilla. It starts with soapy myrrh and a hint of green spiciness, which I think to be anise. With drying down it develops a cozy creamy milkiness with an overall sweet but airy vanilla on top. Very lovely, there is nothing sticky, or sickeningly sweet about this Vanilla and it doesn't strike me as childish or a sprayable candy bar. Fit for most seasons if you skip the hottest summer days, nice for going out for a coffee with friends, a trip to the movies or curling up with a cup of tea and book on the sofa. Longevity is good, sillage is moderate too unless you use a lot or combine it with the lotion, L'Erbolario offers a range of body products with this scent. Sometimes the easiest things in life are best, I consider Vaniglia easy and awesome :-)

This was a blind buy as I'm a big fan of l'erbolario and I love their argan perfume, which is in fact my signature scent. This is a unique vanilla scent. It's sweet but not gourmand. The opening is quite fresh, soapy and clean while being sweet and warm at the same time. It's quite pleasant. It smells like wearing a vanilla fragrance on top of fresh laundered clothes, or like a vanilla scented bar soap. It also smells like a vanilla candle would: it reminds me of a vanilla candle from Carthusia I used to have as a teenager. This makes it very nostalgic for me. It has an old school quality to it, almost like something you could find on a vintage vanity table. Really pretty and wearable. Definitely inoffensive - you won't smell like a dessert or like a teenage girl. It's mature but not old. Perfect if you enjoy vanilla but don't want to smell like you're wearing something from Victoria's Secret. As time goes by, it loses that clean and soapy quality and it becomes more exotic, almost incense-y, and slightly reminds of an oriental market. Lasts a long time on the skin. I first tested this on my hands and the smell didn't go away by washing them multiple times, and not even after applying some hand lotion with a different scent - the fragrance was piercing through the layer of lotion and was still noticeable. It lasts forever, but sillage is quite intimate. You will catch some whiff of it here and there, but I'm not sure others can smell this on you, unless they hug you. The packaging is simple but really pretty - I adore the vintage-style picture on the label.

This is a nice layering vanilla. It works well with their coconut fragrance. Extends the longevity if you layer them together. This is quite musky, a bit sweet, a tad fruity and a deep very balsamic vanilla. I don't get the soapiness that others are talking about. It really smells filled with real Bourbon vanilla that I use in my baking but surrounded by myrrh and a bit of powdered heliotrope and a touch of strawberry extract. Cozy. My husband thinks this is sexy. I may pick up a FB. This is not like Molinard Vanilla at all. That is more of a pudding mix foody vanilla. L'Erbolario vanilla is more complex and balsamic.

Ne ho tre boccette, una degli anni 80,una del 2000 e una del 2020. Se la cava bene,anche la versione più recente nonostante si senta più annacquata non è male. Questo profumo ha una consistenza strana,inizialmente sembra acquoso,poco intenso. Invece dalla pelle durante il giorno escono dei soffi costanti di una dolce vaniglia imbrunita,calda,voluttuosa,sfumata di mandorla,quasi rum,veramente bella. In estate la preferisco. La versione moderna ha note un po diverse da quelle elencate qui, la mirra,il limone e la fragola non ci sono,c'è molto più mandorlo,vaniglia bruna e qualcos'altro.

If you like slightly spicy vanilla perfumes this is it, although when first sprayed it has a harsh alcohol smell it does dry down to a nice vanilla scent ^^

There's a soapy, shampooey clean note which hits your nose for a few minutes before the vanilla kicks in. It's pretty similar to that clean and fragrant scent you smell from fresh laundry/ linen-inspired fragrances. I like soapy scents, so I personally love that about it. However, I didn't like that base note of vanilla and amber. It's coming off sweet yet somewhat rubbery to me. Is it the vetiver doing this? I'm not sure... Overall, the note transitions can be compared to 'cold-to-warm'. Some people may like it, some may not. I'd stick to the cliché and just pick up one of Victoria's Secret vanilla-centered body sprays if I'm saving money and want a more linear scent. But if you want a more oily, distinct and complicated vanilla fragrance, you can give this one a try and hope it works well on your body chemistry.

On the box the notes are Tahiti vanilla, Mandorlo, Ylang Ylang and musk. No Amber or heliotrope, strawberry, myrrh or lemon so I’m not sure why it says so on here. Ylang ylang and musk gives it a soapy powdery smell. It dries down more soft sweet vanilla. I saw someone mention the soapy element and I bought it wishing that it was just their nose but yeah it’s definitely a soapy musky vanilla. I think it’s moderate, the scent itself isn’t powerful but I sprayed it on my arm and I can smell a faint whiff of it now and then. After wearing it for a week or so it’s a no for me, the soapiness just gets worse and I’m not a clean fragrance lover. At least it was only £20 on Amazon. Also it sprays too much, I spray 2/3 times a day and the liquid has gone down significantly. So disappointed. Smells like play doh.

I swear I smell a hefty dose of smokey vetiver in this otherwise breezy vanilla scent. In fact, so much so that it gave me a headache! I would say it's a more masculine unisex scent. A bit dry. I agree with 9154mf that it's grassy. It's not a foody, gourmand vanilla. It's light and airy, with an earthy, smokey, dry grass note that I perceive as vetiver. Strange! Normally I love vetiver, but not here.

This is odd. I've smelled it on a paper strip today, and I didn't like it one bit. It's an odd vanilla mixed with something green, herbal. It almost smelled like some sort of disinfectant to me. It was also sweet, but not overly sweet as other people have mentioned. I know it's all very subjective, but it was a disappointment for me. I'm glad I haven't blind bought it.

Grassy, herbal vanilla, reminds me of toilet cleaner - Piney, weird!

A nice warm vanilla amber and I'm not always a fan of heliotrope but its right at home here. Unfortunately, like so many L'erbolario scents, it's rather weak. I think I wanted a wee bit more of something in this recipe but you can slip into a tee or a little black dress and it wears well either way.

Unusual Vanilla natural scent which starts off herball'y' and ends up sugary vanilla! LOVE ITS unique blend of notes and how it magically changes! This perfume is a MUST have! It can sweeten any other green, herbal or tarry scent that might need to be 'vanilla-ed' a bit...:)

I Find this fragrance really sweet, too sweet. A lot of people describes it as a dry vanilla, but this fragrance reminds me a vanilla cake. Too gourmand, too edible for my taste which prefers vanilla surrounded by flowers. Gourmand lovers can appreciate it.

I tested this perfume in a shop just yesterday.. I surely smell myrrh, I thought it is sweeter. But I didn't tested on my wrist. I've to try it again, maybe with a sample

I love it I smell vanilla and sugar mostly. Sweet, Not sophistacted but I love it. Should be great to cozy up with.
