Cèdre Superfluide

The opening is a bit sharp, herbal and slightly tangy yet really nice, and that combination of aromas fades away very quickly. Rose, Plum and Vanilla are prominent notes with a hint honey like sweetness from Immortelle. Sadly Plum doesn’t smell fruity anyway. The blend is velvety soft, warm, cozy and easy to like, Sandalwood is well blended with Vanilla. The most prominent earthy feeling I detect in the opening, and it lasts a couple of hours - it doesn’t really feel that Saffron would be one of the base notes, rather it seems to intertwine with Rose. This scent is beautiful yet generic which makes me think if I would need it even if I love it. If you are trying to find your favorite Rose-Saffron-Vanilla scent and don’t have any yet this is absolutely a great choice to check. It’s totally unisex, it’s sweet and if you smell it straight from the skin Saffron makes if feel menthol like - not as a menthol smell but somewhat fresh feeling in the nose. Luckily Ambroxan doesn’t pop out into your nose. There is not any that kind of spicy opening, or spices in any stage, as there is in Amouage Epic. I don’t find it similar at all. There is no Oud either here, not even feel like it. Just to mention: in official notes is mentioned Everlasting Flower which is also known as Immortelle or Helichrysum. This perfume is a vexing love affair. I tried this at Ministry of Scent, where it can sometimes be hard to smell the thing you are trying to smell amidst all of the other scents in the air. But one sniff of this and, wow! I was ready to buy a small bottle then and there. But then one of the staff members suggested I try it on my skin (duh, of course I should have!) and smell it outside (again, duh, thank you, kind and smart employee!) So I did and upon doing so I thought, OH GOD! This is NOT what I thought it was! I left the store empty handed, regretting that I'd have to go the whole rest of the night immersed in this very strong scent. But then, hours later, I found myself catching glimpses of this wonderful, most surprising smell. Was it rose? Cedar wood? Something powdery?? All of the above? By the net day, the memory of this scent had begun to haunt me. I returned to the sweater I had been wearing the night before and smelled it again and again, trying to catch what remained. Did I love this scent?? I had to buy a decant to find out. And once it arrived, yes! I love this scent! It is unlike anything I have loved before, a whole new world of something treasured. I never go for powdery scents, or rose scents, and yet this one is both and is truly fantastic. There is even something clean about it, in the mix of rose and wood, a clean and elegant scent that lasts for hours and hours. And even after it is gone, I swear I can smell this scent in my memory. What a wild ride with this one! A perfect blend of something unexpected.

Second purchase from the line, first being Ambre Supermassive, and boy, oh boy, I am mega impressed with this line. This is so smooth, well blended, all the notes play harmoniously together, it's a deep, rich and opulent fragrance, you will get noticed, but you won't go about with offensive projection or sillage. I get hit initially with plum + hints of rose + and a lot of nice (not cloying) sweetness. I Don't know what Immortelle actually smells like but I don't get anything green, the dry down moves on very quickly to a blend of hints of each vanilla, Ambroxan, Sandlewood, and maybe I detect a smidgen of saffron if any at all. It all is so well blended and just sits there. Projection and Sillage is very impressive, yet remains inoffensive, as I say; you will 100% get noticed with this one, and probably get questioned, as it's a unique take on many other known fragrances, but stands completely alone. Yet another one highly recommended, I will be trying at least one more from the line, enjoy and God bless.

marvelous, waited so long for this to hit Fragrantica. this is everything I wanted BR540 to be, i was trying to describe this scent, but all I can think of is "liquid silver", and not in a sense that it smells metallic, not in the slightest, but if it was a colour it would've been silver and there's this limpidity about it. it's molecular, woody, slightly vanillic, floral, super balanced. there's a bitterness coming from something in this, that kind of smells like angelica. after it completely dries down and lingers on clothes, i start to get a clean rose that resembles the likes of amouage epic woman and ormonde jayne ta'if, it's slightly shampooyi (not soapy, not jammy, not too sweet). it makes me feel really feminine even though the scent itself is unisex. this is a rich girl scent btw, quite extravagant and luxurious but without trying too hard, it's an elegant old money type of rich.

so complex in there fresh spicy notes, woody and green, some oud i can detect, a bit sharp. I found it to be a little more masculine and warm dry down: smells much more with rose and less masculine now, very subtle warmth to it , and woody This is such a complex fragrance!
