Champaca Supercritique

Dry plum, clove and strong orris at the beginning. Labdanum, soaked plum, champaka and soapy, vintage ylang on the drydown. Softly sweet, dry and moderately spicy, both fresh and warm at the same time, refrained and elegant.. Longevity is weak, about 2 hours on my skin.

Whether you're blind buying or blind trying, when we see opaque bottles, it means a couple of things: Russian Roulette and Trust the Process. Without visually seeing the liquid , we're basically crossing our fingers. Right out the gate, the bottle didn't lie. It's Champaca, no doubt. With that being said, it's a whole 'nother universe going on in conjunction to the warm golden stuff. It's floral, it's plum, kinda mellow, sort of fluffy, intense at the base, slightly screechy, all the way sugary and most importantly it's never a gourmand. This is a transient creation therefore, when you wear it, you have to make it count. Here we have the plum and Ylang Ylang turning in opposite directions while being plummeted by a rosey apparition possibly conjured by the combination of one or more accords. The yellow florals maintains a steady rhythm which is fundamental to the appeal of this fragrance. The Ylang Ylang is vital in setting the cadence of this fragrance. All the notes are in constant communication with each other working as a team and never overstepping the fragrant boundaries. While everything is alternating, the cinnamon note is moving freely without throwing the composition off balance. The plum and the cloves never overlap but barely touches in the middle. If it weren't for the strong presence of the magnolia and Ylang Ylang, this would absolutely be a gourmand. Spray with confidence, walk past someone and watch you catch them off guard.

Right down the middle part omnipresent Musk, so from the start off, part subtle amalgame. Activates more musk. First try, indoors, for now getting pretty plain animalic, none of the mentioned.
