Gardenia Supercritique

OMG, you guys!!!! This is something different! I love love love love love! At first, I thought that it was this strange scent that you could not wear at all, but omg I was so wrong! You guys... this smells so strange at first but after around two minutes... magic just blew my mind! This sweet, fruity, potent gardenia took me to this magical trip! It's not a light and romantic floral scent... no no no. IT'S SEDUCTION IN THE BOTTLE. This is so sexy, you want to put this perfume on your naked body and smell like this forever. It's such a mysterious scent, very very potent, and more on the heavier side. This just took my olfactory experience to the next level. Never ever smelled a perfume like this, such a unique smell, one of a kind! When you spray it at first, don't make a mistake, WAIT! WAIT for the magic! This is not just a daytime scent, I imagine it perfectly for a night out, to grab attention, to feel seductive, feminine, alluring... Omg this is definitely on my list of perfumes I want. Why no one is talking about it????

This is stunning. If you're looking for a gardenia scent, this may not be what you are looking for, but if you are looking for a patchouli scent, then this is a MUST try. The fragrance's name is a bit of a misnomer, as are all of the Supercritique fragrances I've tried. That's what I love about the Supercritique scents, the perfumers incorporate the title scent in such a subtle and unexpected (sometimes even unnoticeable) way. I get a super resinous and woody patchouli with spice and a bit of incense. As it dries down I get a jammy rose. In fact, I get more roses than gardenia (the latter which I don't get at all). There is a beautiful creaminess to this scent, which I will assume is the gardenia. That's what I like about these, it's almost like a game of hide and seek trying to detect the premiere note. With the gardenia, it's woven in so seamlessly that it's undetectable to me. Completely unisex with fantastic performance. I've enjoyed everything I've tried from this line, thus far, and Gardenia is no exception!

I've been on a white floral bender lately. I purchased a bunch of sizable samples with gardenia as a primary floral note. I hope to locate "another" gardenia fragrance that resonates with me beyond Narciso Rodriguez Narciso EDP "White Cube." For me, Gardenia Supercritique is a love at first sniff, it truly is. Gardenia Supercritique is equal parts patchouli, gardenia, sandalwood and rose. The opening is a lovely mixed floral fragrance and the dry-down is patchouli, sandalwood, some spicy saffron and gardenia. I realize I favor gardenia fragrances with "additional" notes that add interest and depth to the gardenia itself. Given this, the perfume works for me. You must like patchouli, sandalwood and saffron notes to enjoy Gardenia Supercritique. And of course, gardenia! Purchased a new full bottle at a pretty good price. LOVE this fragrance, it is so pretty and unique! So happy to add it to my wee collection of fragrances!

This scent is breathtaking. I haven't seen it around much but I'm glad I've swapped some samples of it. It is not typical take on gardenia. The overal feel is that it is posh and high class fragrance. Very prominent French perfumery roots (as in the entire line). It has creamy woodiness and yes gardenia. Peach can be a bit strong in the opening but then it changes, settles on the skin like soft fluffy cloud of creamy gardenia love. Longevity is great, sillage on the heavier side. I want to smell like it every day!

You have to let this one pretty flower bloom before enjoying it 100%. For me, a bit unpleasant opening, but after awhile it's such a bright, elegant and refined perfume... Like: it's springtime, Saturday morning. You finished shopping on your local market in a small but posh Mediterranean town and after indulging yourself in fresh bouquet of tulips, beautiful, fresh fish and homemade goat cheese, you'll stop, leave a basket full of groceries in your car and take a break on a terrace of a nearby luxurious hotel. Looking at the sea, feeling spring warmth, you are a true lady enjoying life in one perfect moment. That's how's gardenia supercritique smelling to me.
