Néroli Supercritique

Just bought this, I am a man but I want everyone loves me in my work and I found it would be a perfect hypnotising trick to do it, and make myself believe that I am lovable. Mood uplifting, soft (Ambrette seed) and sweet (like a cake/cookie with lemon peels). Very lovable and unisex. I thought it has too Tuberose dominant to be unisex but it dose for me. Anyway during the profile evolution.

This is indeed very unique and beautiful. It has a blend of white florals and vanilla at the base. Giving a tart feels just like sweet creamy vanilla ice cream. This feels more masculine rather than the notes itself. Longevity and projection is moderate. The silage is quite good, always get a whiff when I move. Works very good in hot and humid weather with no cloying.

So, I own and absolutely love Les Eaux Primordiales "Gardenia Supercritique." And whether or not gardenia is detectable in that fragrance, I adore the perfume. Also, I like other fragrances I've owned/own/sampled from this house... I LOVE what this house does with the mid-and-base notes of otherwise linear, or soliflore fragrances. But unfortunately, after much anticipation to try "Neroli Supercritique," the fragrance doesn't work for me. Not sure what I expected. And while the opening is obviously aldehydic citrus with emergent mixed florals, on my skin the base notes do not balance, or blend with this perfume's overwhelming mid-notes. This perfume is definitely a neroli-forward fragrance. And there's LOTS of petit-grain, But unlike other LEP perfumes, I struggle to smell anything BUT neroli and petit-grain, start-to-finish. The only base note I (sorta) detect is wood... And I dislike "gender categorizing" fragrances. But to my untrained nose, Neroli Supercritique wears extremely masculine. Bitter, astringent, citrusy, tart, woody. Disappointingly, the fragrance simply doesn't resonate with me.

A very dense, weighty and narcotic rendition of neroli, with stellar performance. Quite sweet and not for the faint of heart, but if you like opulent, rich florals this is for you. Neroli sits firmly at the core of this fragrance, framed by some bitter citrus in the top and fluffy musks in the base. Vanilla adds a gourmand touch, like an orange flower flavoured custard. Becomes more citrussy in the drydown, which is nice. I like Néroli Supercritique very much, although too opaque and too sweet of a neroli for me to wear. I prefer De Nicolai's excellent Cap Néroli for its herbaceous undertones or the glorious Eau de Néroli Doré (Hermes) for its sunny effervescence.

It's true, here we are on a very particular conception of fragrances. I could talk about notes, but in my opinion it would be inappropriate, as here we have such a well blended combination that it would not be easy to list them. Instead I will describe my sensations: a gust of neroli driven by floral and citrusy scents, an uncommon aroma, which leads to a place outside all our habits: a particular smell. Since neroli is the protagonist in its most bitter and powerful facet, I don't know if I would be able to wear it, but it has given me an immense olfactory journey. "L'insolita" painted by Fiume.
