Vanille Supermassive

This is such a good perfume, I’m obsessed. It’s vanilla and patchouli, and that’s it. I don’t smell any other notes, neither in the opening nor in the dry down, but they blend perfectly. It has a harsh, strong opening and a slightly masculine scent, but I love it. Vanilla is feminine, patchouli is masculine, so it feels like the perfect combo. I don’t always like patchouli, but in Vanilla Supermassive it’s perfect. I usually like vanilla, gourmand, and citrusy perfumes, and I like this one too. It took me only two days to decide that I want to buy it. I loved it immediately, but I went back to the perfume store to make sure I liked it again, and that was it. The only downside is that it is not long lasting or at least not long lasting enough. Also projection could be better, my bf told me he can’t smell it on me and he was sitting next to me. Even though I was able to still smell this perfume on me

It smells heavenly, however it doesn't project much after the first hour, although it remains strong close to skin eternally, which is a characteristic of some non-projecting high concentrated smells maybe. Speak of the abyss and universe, I can totally understand the author which I appreciate a lot, maybe we are on the same freciency. Want to buy it, but it would be nothing but for personal enjoyment or, you have to apply just before meeting others in order to let it be smelled. Otherwise it is only for intimate partner and they have to get really close to you to smell it. Ironically, when smelling close, the smell is very potent and rounded. This my concern to spanding that much money for limited usage. There won't be any problem if it costs at least half less for me.

Dry, woody and balsamic vanilla with a really beautiful mix of spices! It’s not too sweet, I could say that for my nose it’s rather chocolaty (due to huge amount of patchouli), but I can still feel a touch of light powdery vanilla underneath. I was smelling the opening of this as i read the comment below saying "ok i see where he got it smells like Ani from but it's still far off, this is it's own thing" then as it dried down....it smells JUST LIKE ANI! lol Amazing fragance but yeah passing on this as i just purchased Ani x last week

This is my favourite from the line so far! this is vanilla barka from amouage or babycat a bit but that same scent profile with the superfluide DNA! this is a banger, an extrait and I believe this is unisex. At least to my nose. Would definitely be looking to purchase a bottle of this. 9.5/10.

It’s heavenly. I’m not even that much of a vanilla lover but this is beautiful. It is such a great combination of ‘everything foresty’ without necessarily being woody. And ‘all vanillary’ without being gourmand.

To me, this smells exactly like ANI by NISHANE. It is a soft vanilla with citrus to my nose. My nose isn't sophisticated enough to dissect the other notes, but it is indistinguishable from ANI to me.

ok so I tried this months ago, and recently had a chance to try the new guerlain extraits. maybe i'm tripping, but anyone else get a slight resemblance to vanille planifolia? this thing is a vanilla that's not too powdery/caky, not even too boozy, just slightly viscous and smoky/churchy vanilla. if u try the other fragrances from this brand, you'll notice a DNA that's shared, which is molecular and imo elevates everything they create. i'm glad that i don't get the caramel much, i find it has more of a textural support role. overall very satisfied with the scent even though it's yet another vanilla. this house is kind of knocking off my socks. something i noticed with this one and the other offerings from the brand, what u smell up close on skin is different than the cloud u leave in air. this one for some reason smells way more ambery and chocolatey in air, but incensy up close. initial notes before looking up the breakdown on fragrantica: woods first, orange (on second note dries down to lemon or a yellow citrus), black pepper/incense/slight hint to church, subtle rounded resinous vanilla that's not too overly sweet. it's actually quite complex, there's a moldy/old quality parallel to the vanilla that just reminds me of very old buildings. possibly has ginger or something that lifts this and adds a slight spiciness/kick.

This is one of those vanilla scents that are not boring; it contains many facets that work together very well. It has unique freshness and cleanliness to it which makes this composition more refined and elegant. Generally to me it reminds a little bit of Ani X from Nishane. There is this potent mix of spice and sweetness, but very modern... To me, as for aesthete, The PACKAGING bottle looks very cheap. Bottle itself is this deep indigo blue color, the letters of the name are printed in this gold font that actually bleeds and is uneven. I REALLY dislike it.Oh, and the cap itself is color gold as well, but made from plastic, that is very lightweight and scratches easily. Why do they make these choices for packaging? its ugly. And dont even get me started about that square cap looking ugly as hell on that round bottle, it just does not work together in terms of geometry... Id buy this fragrance just for the scent, but will hide the bottle from everyone since its ugly and cheap. But you paid 240 euro for it! Scent: 8/10 Bottle design: 3/10

A smoky vanilla; but of the darkest kind. If you want vanilla that isn’t feminine-leaning, vanilla that is shadowed, resinous, churchy, gothic, forest-tinged, leather-leaning... this covers every branch of that family. It goes far beyond a “characteristic vanilla”. I get a lot of elemi and labdanum, which give it that resinous, slightly leathery depth. The usual softness, warmth, and sweetness of vanilla are all here too, but wrapped in a veil of smoke. The result is both mysterious and cozy; a winter scent through and through. I hoped that this would top Ani, and on scent strip they were quite different but on skin - 90% similar at least! And it sticks to my dry skin way more than Ani, so no. I hate doing this confrontation but it is kinda needed. differences, other than performance: this is sweeter and probably why it pulls a little on the feminine side, Ani is spicier and more unisex and some would say masculine (not me), also Ani is more grownup and serious and this is more chill and aloof

The opening is okay, but the real star is the drydown This reminds me of VCA Reve De Cashmere in the way the vanilla is used. Far from Nishane Ani. I don’t get the similarities Reviews from Youtube are right, this is not the typical juvenile syrupy vanilla, more of dry slightly powdery vanilla Perfect for layering as well, like with citrus-woody-heavy fragrances Moderate projection, good longevity Bottle design could be better for the price point

I get a glancing similarity to IA Memoirs of a Trespasser. It is a darkened resinous vanilla that comes across almost like sweetened cardboard. It does give an illusion of a pretty realistic vanilla extract if you go into it with that already in mind. The heavy lifting is done by some sugared resins. 8.0/10

Trying this today. Initially it felt like vanilla 28 by Kayali but immediately turned into something different. The patchouli and resin take over and it becomes this balsamic/resign-y vanilla. I don ́t love it, but i dont hate it either. It is certainly different and more on the masculine side.

Great take on vanilla, and can see the Ani comparison. I do believe this one was a touch overhyped. I do like it, but it’s not ground breaking enough to drop so much money on, imo.

Received my order today. First impression: it smells like a baby between Initio Absolute Aphrodisiac and Kayali Vanilla 28

If Tuxido and Ani had a baby, it would be Vanille Supermassive. I like it.

I have three samples from this house. I don’t get it. That is to say all three perform on me like BR540. In fact they are worse because separating price out of the equation I have come to enjoy my decant of 540. I don’t see that happening here. I am aware they are on me but I don’t smell anything. In the end I smell faintly of the cedar chips that line rodent cages. Geza Schoen Is that you? This has a very similar vibe as his work but costs three times as much. From a fragrance called vanilla supermassive other than the fact there is no vanilla and it definitely isn’t supermassive I think this is the perfect name. At this price point not just no but GTFOOH.

Opening reminds me of Gucci Rush, then in the drydown stays as a smoky balsamic vanilla, kind of like Babycat. For the price point you d expect longer longevity than 2-3 hours, as well as better sillage, you can barely smell it. For me it doesn’t have that X element to make it worth it.

This one is just ok for me I'm not even sure I'm gonna use up little sample that I have Also I have Ani and I don't think they smell similar IMO this one is more dark and spicer then Ani Just meeeh

Went through entire sample and could barely smell anything, and yet it's supposed to be a extract concentration. I agree the vanilla is not your typical sweet boring vanilla, there is a nice fir resin that is radiating, but not so strong like, for example Amber Teutonic from DS&Durga, this is so close to the skin and honestly I'm disappointed, for this price I was expecting something stronger. I don't mind the skin scents but at least make them so the wearer can smell them. I ended up buying Saffron Superfluide, it's a much better blend and scent overall.

Honestly a little disappointed with this one. I simply adore vanilla and test plenty of those. But this one was beyond my perception. I could barely feel it, even when used on clothes. That's why I'm disappointed because it's elixir.

Super boring vanilla as if vanilla couldn’t be boring already. Underwhelming with the cool name SUPER-MASSIVE! Total false advertising. The opening is like ANI. But after 3 minutes it’s more like ANIS SHADOW . Barely there⭐️

Omg, I can't believe it, but I have to say this is my first trash perfume... It smells like trash to me, like the runny juice that drips off organic waste.

For reference: I’m a woman in her late 40’s, and I got this as a sample size to try in a vanilla-themed discovery set. It is not something I would have chosen for myself. Opens super powdery, with a weird sweet/spicy chemical note (perhaps the elemi?) and only barely there vanilla. The dry down allows a bit more vanilla through, and tones down a bit, but remains overly spicy and too sharp. Not a warm or feminine smell at any point in time. Should be called Woodland Powdered Spice with Vanilla Musk. This was not my cup of tea, and reminded me of the aftershave my best friend’s middle-aged dad used to slap on during the weekends to “impress the ladies”. Definitely more masculine-leaning. I’m a warm, sweet, floral vanilla person. This was not it. I sprayed a sweet, gourmand vanilla scent over it, to mask it, as I did find it unpleasant on my skin, but it is overpoweringly earthy/spicy, and long-lasting. If it’s your thing, it’s definitely going to last a while. I will not be using the rest of this sample, or purchasing any more of this. I’ll ask my husband if he’d like to try it, and possibly update afterward. We shall see how it smells on him.

I get elemi and light sheer ambery incense. It’s crisp and clean incense, but it’s the labdanum/cinnamon representation of amber for sure. The vanilla, if it’s in there truly, is so light that it’s only a blur in the melange. This is not a Vanilla fragrance, it’s an amber fragrance. Not sure what they were thinking with the name. That being said, it’s a really nice light summery version amber: Resins, spices, light wood, very light musk backing. I like it a lot, but it’s a very light skin scent type of thing, so amber lovers might not like it for that and vanilla lovers will hate it because it doesn’t have vanilla in it. It’s sheer, crisp incense amber.

This is such a beautiful thing! A very original take on vanilla. No vanilla icecream here! No vanilla sugar! It starts fresh and immedietely turns into a piney paradise which is cool and constrained. More and more woody with time. And the sweetness grows very slowly with cinnamon, caramel and vanilla of course. The latter is dark and dense. Perfect winter scent with remarkably good longevity. It's an elixir de parfum, mind you. Brings to mind my all-time winter favourite from L'Occitane Eau de Baux. The same wintry piney aura sweetened with vanilla and other warmer stuff.

Been racking my brain and, though the stated notes are different, this reminds me quite a bit of Zara Vanilla Vibration as a much cheaper option. Zara loves to churn out, discontinue and then rerelease products so VV may be available again at some point in the future. Zara has others in their current vanilla line up right now for 80 ml bottles for $40-$50 USD vs. Vanille Supermassive's 50 ml for $295.

Vanilla...with a TON of other thing specially Patchouli, Fir, Labdanum and Ambroxan.... I don't think the name fits this scent...you don't encounter vanilla in any "big" way...supermassive? where? I do get a supermassive ambroxan and patchouli.... I feel the elemi resin is very pungent too...with the labdanum and patchouli it gives a mentholated sensation.... I don't like this.

Now this is a really great vanilla fragrance. Only problem is, for me it leans masculine but I’d love to smell this on a man. It has moderate performance, you get the most sillage out of it the first couple of hours then it draws closer to the skin but lasts forever on clothes. A really solid release from this house!

Its not your cozy boozy spicy vanilla , its rather a fresh balsamic with a hint of vanilla .. starts off similar to amouage material but then takes a detour to a sharper fresher profile .. not my thing to be honest and its a bit too musculine to be considered unisex

It is not quite often that we find a deep blue bottle for a vanilla fragrance . The fragrance itself is a very lovely creamy vanilla but not gourmand or sticky. It is very nice balanced and oriental. I like the sandalwood drydown, very decent and voluptuous.

Hey @ the_scent_reff I don't know how you get dog food. But most reffs are blind so maybe you're nose blind?? Hmmm. This is not really a supermassive vanilla, at least not to start, more woods and vanilla. Dry down is terrific.

Mmmm, this is a vanilla I can get down with. Sweet, but not gourmand. A sheen of intoxicating spice and a little reminiscent of metal. This would smell so, so creamy and dreamy on a man as a special occasion fragrance.

I dont know how you people get Ani or anything that smells good. Tried it today on my skin, developed to dog food smell and 2 people confirmed that it really does have a dog food vibe😂

Nicely done masculine vanilla has a cold feel to it. The white musk is a little too much for me. Would be amazing on a man in the winter. Very wintery handsome vanilla here.

Smells like the best parts of Nishane Ani with an aromatic twist. Decent juice
