Vivacite(s) de Bach

This has been my grounding potion. I've long been an admirer of Bach flowers, whether or not they are truly remedies or proven to be placebos. The idea of consuming wildflower essences diluted to 1/250th in brandy to consume emotional or physiological ailments is just poetic to me—its enough to wash away my skepticism and embrace mythology. I've been known to purchase a tincture or two over the years. I was surprised to learn from a friend that Les Fleurs de Bach actually had eau de parfums, with Vivaceté(s) de Bach being the particular recommendation. I blind bought a 30ml bottle, sprayed it: instant connection. Extracts of centaury, white chestnut, olive, hornbeam, and mustard are actually listed in the ingredients, and the smell itself suggests that these extracts very much lend their own mark to the fragrance. It opens with aromatics, at first reminding me of Clarins Eau Dynamisante, but soon Vivacité(s) reveals that its herbs are a bit esoteric—somewhat pungent, almost allium-like, but it is shockingly delicious. I am also reminded of Sanbittèr soda, a Campari-like beverage I used to love to drink some years ago. Soon, the coconut-meets-broom scent of gorse is apparent, which seamlessly leads into one of the most attractive, meditative and ancient-smelling woody accords I've smelled in any perfume—I mean it. I will surely claim this as some form of effective therapy.

I'm not a big fan of woody scents as they can turn musky on me but this one is nice. It has the clean wood scent of fresh wood shavings which is very bright in it's delivery with just a little floral scent blowing through the door. I find it a very clean scent.

I was looking for a perfume which smells natural, well-balanced and charismatic. Vivacités is excact. It is relaxing, with a peacefull energy. Yet, meditating in the woods is not without excitement. You perceive the life around you - and that is dynamics in this fragrance also. Wood, saturated with resin, herbs and the subconscious smell of acorns, hidden in squirrel hiding places. The flowers are quiet, yet lighten and sweeten the whole impression. I have only one sigh: my surroundings found the scent pleasantly aromatic, but quite atypical for a personal perfume. I save it for elated moments of privacy, relaxing evenings and days when I can be myself without putting on a social image.

this fragrance is unique: it starts with herbal and woody, even bitter scent and creates an impression of a masculine fragrance. But then it gradually mellows down into herbal/aromatic and slightly floral combination and becomes more unisex. There is a smooth hazelnut note, which is not gourmand, but nice and mellow. In general, it's a very uplifting scent and it lasts long. If you like herbal/woody notes + hazelnut, it's definitely worth a try))
