Cherry of Cashmere

An explosion of cherries and other sweet but effervescent red fruits takes over your senses at the first spray! You feel at a festival of childhood colors, lights and aromas. Candies, glazes and a large spindle of cotton candy. The patchouli undertone is felt intensely, from the first touch of the skin, giving a special maturity to the perfume. However, in just a few minutes, the fragrance evolves and I can sense a creamy leather accord, but without influences that could make you think of the smell of gasoline, burnt rubber or the animalic nuances that leather fragrances sometimes reflect on my skin. I would say that the second stage of the perfume reminds me a bit of Traversee du Bosphore, but with cherries instead of apple. The drydown is ambery, still creamy and very sensual. The projection is amazing, until the next day (today I wear it completely for the first time, but last night I sprayed it once and in the morning I could still smell the fragrant cloud emanating from my wrist). more of a sour cherry, during the jam/syrup making process; tart, sweet, bright. The leather is more like suede (to my nose) soft and complements the composition. Love the opening! Performance is decent. Price is very decent.

Cherry of Cashmere was launched in 2019 and its concept aims to portray the touch of white suede, although its name leads us to think of a cherry-colored cashmere piece. Its fragrance combines notes of cherries, red fruits, and mandarin orange, in the top; Patchouli, in the body; Vanilla, white suede, and amber accord, in the base of the olfactory pyramid. Cherry of Cashmere is that type of perfume that had everything to go wrong with my skin, as I am not the biggest lover of fragrances that carry the note of cherries that, normally, they usually dominate any accord of which they are part. However, I was positively surprised and I will try to tell you a little more about this experience. As soon as it touches the skin, Cherry of Cashmere is very strong in its fruity aspect. But the great secret of the composition was the fact that they used a good amount of mandarin, more citrusy and juicier, which cut any and all aspects of sweetness in excess, to the point of not letting the fragrance becomes too cloying. It seems that I just opened a package of powdered gelatin, flavored with red fruits, whose aroma rises through the nostrils with a sour content, you know? Then, the evolution continues (slowly) and brings a new fragrance, with light nuances of leather and a more common smell within the niche fragrances that convey this Middle Eastern style. Thus, Cherry of Cashmere abandons the fruity-gourmand olfactory path and reveals itself to be warm, sensual, and ambery. One of the coolest features of this creation is that throughout its evolution, however much the fragrance has changed, it was still possible to feel the mandarin orange, even if distant, as if it still trying to contain a sweety monster. In addition, Cherry of Cashmere is not the type of perfume to be felt up close. Although it is somewhat addictive, I realize that the result is more pleasurable when felt naturally, instead of smelling all the time, with the nose, some area of the body that has received its sprays. Being the third fragrance from the Les Fleurs Du Golfe house that I try, there is no doubt that projection and lasting are essential requirements in their creations. But I suggest paying attention to the occasions of use and, above all, the weather. Cherries? Yes, why not?

broke open my sample of this tonight without knowing the notes beforehand. i checked them after a short wearing and was quite surprised to see that “leather” isn’t in the accords up top. to me, this is a cherry-leather-patchouli fragrance (in that order). i don’t pick up much else on my skin. this also fades pretty quickly. after an hour i can’t smell it even with burying my nose in my skin. edit - came back to this sample 6 months later and am eating my words. this is gorgeous. juicy sweet red fruits and vanilla with a little leather to form a base. i’m quite impressed.

Cherry cherry and more cherry with some other red fruits is basically all you are gonna get from this. Definitely a scent for the ladies!. Fellas you've been warned.
