Ambery, caramel-y, nutty vanilla. Warm, creamy. Violet trickles into dry down. An interestingly pleasant scent.

#1660 in my “Tour de Fragrance” Scentsplit included this sample with a perfume I ordered for a female friend. This scent is all about the ambrette. Toss in a little cocoa and you’d have s'mores. Actually you’d have Bentley “Mellow Heliotrope." Which is basically liquified s’mores. Some of you may be familiar with Tom Ford “Metallique.” I think that’s what they were going for with this. Only difference I can tell is the lack of a citrus note, and honestly this might benefit from some citrus. The silage in the opening is quit strong and like opening a jar of Kraft “Jet-Puffed” marshmallow creme. It’s way better in the dry down where it’s pleasant and inoffensive, and as one reviewer put it, “the violet creeps in." Still, I don’t find this “attractive.” Not as fruit-and-nut bar leaning as Kilian “Rolling in Love”, or as floral as Salvatore Ferragamo “White Mimosa”, two also “Ambrette” dominant scents, but definitely not something any guy will wear and not something I’d buy for a woman I’m interested in. I’ll give it to someone that goes for these kind of confection-leaning scents. She may feel differently. [UPDATE: She liked it after about 30 minutes on the skin as the overwhelming ambrette faded out and the violet came through. Still, she said it was nothing she would wear unless it was free.] Good Luck and Good Hunting!

This is gorgeous! Got a sample of this at scentxplorer this year and I’m so dang mad at myself for not knowing better and getting my nose over to them to smell all their offerings. Love at first sniff. I get all the notes above in the breakdown. I heard it’s a love child between Blanche Bette and Bianco latte. Ehhh, kinda? I would say maybe 80% Blanche Bette (w/o the tuberose) and 20% Bianco Latte. The caramel is lighter imho and has a similar creaminess quality. It’s overall a lighter more enjoyable scent. Initially, I get almond/cherry, but it’s fleeting then I get fresh playdoh. It’s lightly sweet with the light colored caramel. Silky. Not cloying in anyway. The violet and heliotrope dance skin to skin hugged by a delicate vanilla woody base. Don’t come for me but I’m somewhat over the gourmand trend. However this is an almost but not quite gourmand. Longevity is weak on skin and mod on clothes. Intimate silage. This is a personal scent I’d wear to sleep or when I’m getting cozy with a book. It’s quite pricey for what it’s but I don’t care. On paper strip, the playdoh stays strong but it does not on my skin. Must try on skin.
