Rose de Jamal

I imagine this perfume is a bit hard for many to digest. A rose is a rose is a rose, or so the saying goes. But it isn't. That saying is categorically and unequivocally false. And yet, when the majority of consumers go to buy rose perfumes they are typically looking for, generally and generically, the same rose accord time after time. Rose gardeners, perfumers, and perfume connoisseurs understand that there is a massive variety of roses, and, therefore, a massive variety of rose accords. There are roughly 150 species of wild roses, which, over the years through hybridization technology, have led to somewhere-in-the-ballpark of 30,000 rose varietals. To go to a perfume counter and expect a rose perfume to smell like the same rose varietal every time is not only bonkers, but it is, also, unfortunately realistic due to the complete lack of creativity amongst perfume houses when it comes to truly exploring this incredible marvel of nature. It is criminal that ~30,000 varietals exist, and we always seem to get the one that smells the same... time... after time... after time. Les Indemodables and Antoine Lie clearly understand this very well, perhaps like me are tired of the same old rose, and opted to give us a rose perfume that is very notably unique (at least to my nose). In other words, if you like your rose to smell like every other grocery-store rose and rose perfume on our retail counters, this might not be for you. The rose used in this perfume is grown in Morocco by an individual named Jamal - making this an unusually simple, straightforward, and accurate title for Les Indemodables - and presents a rose accord that is, for one, unmistakably rose, but two, is not like any rose accord I can recall smelling. That is because there are tricks being played on us. The immediate feeling from the first sniff onwards is one of energy and lift: Rose de Jamal intends to be gently energetic, cool and refreshing, handsome and fun. Keep this in mind going forward, rather than the typical thoughts associated with rose of red florals, elegance and richness, fruitiness and earthiness, etc. Oh - and one more thing - do not smell this on paper. This perfume needs the heat and oil of skin to truly work its magic; if you're going to smell it only on paper, don't bother smelling it at all. The easiest way to think of this perfume is like a Venn diagram. The biggest of the four circles to this perfume is definitely the Moroccan rose, and the other three are cedar, mint, and rainbow pepper. All four can be smelled individually, but how and where they overlap changes their characteristics in some pretty unusual ways. The Moroccan rose accord is a pink floral - not as bright as white but not as deep as red - and luxuriously soft like a high-end bath powder. Like powder it is dry, but there is a touch of muskiness to it that lends to a slightly oily characteristic. The cedar accord is a classic high-end quality cedar accord in that it is woody in a light beige sort of way - not white in a smoky birch way, not green in a galbanum young-wood way, and not dark and earthy in a balsamic way - and very aromatic, like the smell you get walking into a high-end wood furniture store. The rainbow pepper accord is not piquant and spicy in the nose-tickling way that pepper can be, nor tight and earthy like black pepper, rather bright and colorful, round, soft, and a bit fruity like Szechuan peppercorn without the heat. The mint is botanical, smooth, and gentle - like you just plucked the leaves, and placed them over top of hot water to infuse. The mint and pepper materials sit over the top of the perfume and are the first to leave in the first dry down, but, very interestingly, where the rose and mint overlap give off a wintergreen accord. The mint seems to go through the entirety of this perfume, though not the same material. Clever trick. If your nose cannot pick up the individual pieces, what you will pick up is a wintergreen accord where these overlap. Where the rose and the cedar overlap... well... I'm struggling a bit to name it! The oily muskiness of the rose, plus the supple plushness of the rose, combined with the aromatic woodiness of the cedar make me think of suede! There is something a bit leathery to Rose de Jamal, but definitely not a tanned and skanky castoreum-laden leather note, rather a light, soft, gentle, beige suede. Where the rose and pepper overlap really just ends up making the rose itself more convincing in a typical manner since roses often smell a bit peppery and fruity (like a rainbow peppercorn). I actually had to draw this out - seriously, I have a sketch pad with a few versions of a Venn diagram and the different notes/accords I've found in effort to figure out how they all line-up - which would be a lot easier if the accords would stop moving on me! All at once rosy, minty, woody, and suede like, while seeming to levitate off of my skin in the most weightless way and tricking my nose and my mind's eye into thinking they might be hallucinating. In its simplicity lies a puzzle of striking complexity, like a deceptive Sudoku. It's also gorgeous, and perfect for someone who wants a different rose perfume. In an odd way, this is one of the best homages to the rose: it acknowledges this marvel of nature, integral to perfumery but taken for granted, boxed in, and underappreciated.

Upon initial spray, there is a very beautiful and very realistic rose. You also get mint which is rather a surprise. It works very well together, but I am convinced it only works because of the quality of the ingredients. If this brand or any other brand decided to try this using synthetic compounds, the construction would completely fall apart. What is keeping this fragrance together is the quality. We know this by now with this company. They are one of the best if not the best when it comes to quality of ingredients. I have to say I am rather proud of myself. I just finished the product description directly from Antoine, and he reiterated everything I mentioned above. He said the quality of the rose and every other ingredient is key. His intention was to dismantle the preconceived notion of what a rose fragrance is supposed to be. By using authentic, pristine quality, pure ingredients, the fragrance becomes everything it's supposed to be. It's simply beautiful. Beautiful as nature intended. If you are not typically a fan of rose centered fragrances, I urge you to try this one. I'm not your typical rose fragrance fan by any means. I have recently learned that it's the construction of the typical run of the mill rose fragrance that I don't like. The synthetic nature and the marketing and the stereotypes etc. I could go on. Rose de Jamal shouldn't even be in that category. It is pristine and should be used as an example of what a true rose fragrance should be. I want to shout out to the world and tell them there is something more out there. Something true and something real. Something authentic. Perhaps it might change your mind and you will forever be different. Now, I am also not out of touch. I see the price. I can't even afford it. And that makes me very sad. For a 50 mL, it is around $250. So that means for 100 mL, we are around the $500 mark. I do not recommend purchasing it without testing first. If anything, I would purchase the travel size and leave it at that. I believe it is around $80. Wear it on special occasions. Or if you want to remember an upcoming moment in your life. It will do that for you. If you have a date, a reunion, or haven't seen a friend or family member in a long time, wearing this fragrance on that day will create a memory for you that will stay with you forever. And that's the magic of real olfactory art. It took me a while to get here. When I first purchased the discovery set from the brand, I didn't connect with it. They didn't last more than 20 minutes on my skin and I couldn't figure out why. I just assumed that's how the entire brand worked. And because I cannot spray the fragrances on myself without assistance, I wrote the brand off. For those of you who don't know, I have spinal muscular atrophy and I cannot move my arms or any other part of my body besides my mouth. So longevity is very important to me. For some reason, after about a year which is today, I attempted to sample again. This time, longevity is so great that it surpasses the vast majority of fragrances I have in my collection! What happened here?! My only conclusion is maturation. They needed it very badly. And now they are exquisite! Nothing to complain about. I will say one more thing. This is not entry level approved. Although they are masterful, I don't believe they are for everyone. As they should be, in my opinion. Typically, if a fragrance is liked by everyone, it has been stripped down of any personality or uniqueness. If those unique personality traits existed, some might be turned off by it. And when it comes to money in regards to bigger brands, money comes first, art comes second. Maybe even third or fourth. It's not important to them. LI is different. It is obvious that they care. They are not interested in harpooning the younger crowd. This brand is not for the younger crowd in my opinion. I could be wrong of course. For those of you who truly appreciate the art behind the fragrance, this is for you. The entire collection is for you. I heard a new one just came out and I am extremely enthusiastic. Nothing is more beautiful than nature as is. This fragrance is as close to nature as you can get. And it wears beautifully on your skin. Thank you God for allowing us to experience this scent.

Arrrrrrggggh...! *Punches wall*, *Stomps feet in frustration* I really did not expect to like this. I don't want to like this. I don't want to love this... I don't need it... I don't need it... I do not need it... I may need this... This rose... Like Holy Mother of God... In my opinion - this is The perfect Rose!!! No cherry or candy sweetness, no jam, no sourness, no heady spices, no old world resins, no old world powderiness or soapiness, no wine, no booze, but just pinch of a peppery touch in the background creating the defensive organic sharpness that completes the realism of this rose. This is the definition of a minimalist perfume, a minimalist rose perfume. Just a ripe, blossoming rose bush next to a cup of golden, warm mint tea. The herbal facets in this exist in harmony with the hyperrealistic rose giving this scent a spicy, vegetal, calming yet charming profile. This is the rose scent that holds your hand on the weekend, pulls you into a safe and secure embrace and whispers to you that everything is amazing and that it will be better. It cries with you, it knows you, you lean into its optimism finding its energy enveloping and attractive unable to control your primal reaction to it. This scent is an addicted optimist - it is Jay Gatsby or Optimism by The Sound of Blackness. This is the rose all other rose scents existing or soon to be born should aspire to be. I have Tauerville Rose Flash - my symbolic rose - jammy, boozy, sour and full, smelling of a fine wine... no niche, no indie, no designer could ever dethrone it. It took time... It took time... It took these many years to dethrone Rose Flash. I never meant to find another rose scent - wasn't even eager to try this believing it would disappoint me like countless others. I was finished with my search - Rose Flash was the only rose I ever needed - forever. I smelled this from my sample set and now I want to cry. Why did I have to get this sample set... I will never be okay again - I have knots in my stomach I am screwed up on the inside. Rose de Jamal has hurt my feelings, it has hurt Rose Flash. It didn't mean to hurt me but I want to cry. It is consoling me, mourning with me, becoming a close friend in an interval of weakness. The price is right at $260 I just wish there was more juice. I pray it doesn't increase - I would still need to buy it. This is an exquisite composition that is radiant and fresh. Make no mistake this will disappoint you if you are not ready for - this kind of niche. The minimalist niche. The dark, the dirty, and the complex scents try too hard... They are compensating... They are easy... But they have their place. The fresh, the light, the watery scents are simplified in profile, not pretentious in spirit and much more difficult. Rose de Jamal is just a simple, bright, fresh, vegetal, Three Dimensional rose centric fragrance that performs incredibly well on my skin and makes me comfortable, calm and happy. This is the rose that left the impression on 'Shakespeare' to write his iconic "A rose by any other name" monologue. I envy anyone who already has this and the other Les Indémodables I love... I am once again complete in my search for the perfect rose. This smells like good mental health, good vibes, a good life. 🌹🥀🍃 10/10

First time wear-testing it, on 3/2/26 (late winter/early spring): So, I don’t mind rose as a supporting note, but rose dominant perfumes just aren’t my thing. I love the smell of real fresh roses, but I find that for whatever reason (maybe it’s partially my skin) rose perfumes never smell like actual roses on me. They go tart or sweet or spicy or patchouli heavy, and I’m let down, craving something more realistic. Even the rose perfumes marketed as super-realistic and fresh smelling have always let me down. But this one almost converted me to being the owner of a rose dominant perfume. Almost. The mid especially is where Rose de Jamal shines. It’s not distracted at all. It’s simply a fresh, peak bloom, dewy rose, and I love that so much. Unfortunately, towards the beginning of the base something odd happens on my skin where it becomes quite bitter and a bit sour. Eventually the odd bitterness does go away again, but it hangs around for a while. I’m not sure I can justify a bottle if I don’t love the whole wear, but I’ll definitely use up this sample enthusiastically so that I can keep enjoying the beautiful heart of this perfume. Truly radiant, and now I feel open to and excited about exploring more rose perfumes. Second time wear-testing it, on 5/29/26 (technically spring, but with the heat of summer) I had a chance to wear test it for a second time when it was in the high 80s and 75% humidity. I sat outside for a few hours with it on and enjoyed it immensely. Rose de Jamal absolutely blew me away with how different it smelled than when I tried it in the winter and how much more I loved it. That bitter thing that happened on my skin in the drydown when I wore it in the winter...it didn’t happen at all when I wore it in high heat. And it bloomed (no pun intended) off of my warm skin, totally enveloping me in the most natural, green, rosy, intoxicating bubble. I have trouble with rose dominant perfumes— I’m very picky and I usually don’t like rose-patchoulis or rose-ouds or jammy roses— but I think the fresh, natural smelling, clearly very inspired Rose de Jamal will have to be my first bottle of a rose focused perfume yet. ♥️🌹

One of the most beautiful and not boring expressions of a rose fragrance. I been dabbling into some rosey scents lately. I think the note itself is very beautiful but tends to become very samey and one toned when the focus is exclusively on rose itself. But I get it. Rose is the most known and one of the best smelling if not the nicest smelling flower of all. The image of it is so deeply ingrained world wide as being elegant, beautiful and romantic. And that you can for sure see in Rose de Jamal. However it seems to want to portray the rose in it's most natural state. Unpicked, in full bloom and undistributed. Full of greenery. The initial opening is insanely fresh. The pink pepper mint combination with a slight earthy lavender haze. Opening doesn't last too long. Immediately the roses take their place. But not just any rose. The king of rose; Damask and Moroccan are of the same species of rose but Moroccan rose tends to be more denser. But they both have a zingy/peppery nuance that's very bright and floral at the same time. Under all that you getting cedar that is slowly making its presence known. It pushes, it has lot of bark to it. Doesn't lean too dry. The woody aspects are expressed more. Very natural and comforting. You can tell you're getting quite a lot of rose extract. It's viscous, feels oily on the skin. The most interesting development is happening now. Right next to the cedars a hint of saltiness emerges. It's not misplaced at all. It compliments that rosey zing a lot. Making it come across as savory. No sweetness. The longer it sits the more that saltiness binds with the cedars. But it's not changing the overall theme. Beautiful natural green rose valley that stretches far. I don't get any powder from it. Which is good, I think we done that enough times already. The strong cedars are making it lean more masculine for me but can go unisex. It was a bit hard to tell under all that rose but there is a patchouli musk in the base. Clean and vegetative quality, perfect for spring. Overall; simply beautiful. A rose lover's delight.

Rose de Jamal is not merely pretty—it is beautiful, but as a study in subtlety, it has a tenderness not often found in a fragrance dedicated to rose. Make no mistake: this is not to say it is without its firmness—or its firmament, if you will. It's just that perfumer Antoine Lie communicates grace in this composition, using what the layperson may deem disparate elements that could potentially overshadow a rose accord, but here, these elements animate the rose. The lavender softens and mellows. A mint, which I discern as spearmint, lends a cool, sweet green. What's most notable to me, however, is the addition of 2.8% Moroccan Atlas cedar oil joining the 5.5% Moroccan rose absolute. This is what is of particular interest to me. Atlas cedar oil differs from that of Virginia or Texas cedar oils in that it actually comes from a true botanical cedar, Cedrus atlantica (the other two, most often associated with cedar in perfume, are actually species of juniper). Atlas cedar smells quite different from Juniperus virginiana and Juniperus mexicana as well. Native to the Atlas mountains of Morocco and Algeria, the oil from the tree emits a sharper, curiously pine-needle camphoraceous-cresylic top note that is also sappy-sweet. I am also reminded of apricot brandy. Its heart is smoky and dry, and it simmers down to a peppery old wood sensation. This seems to be what most leverages the rose absolute in the composition and the energy between the two is most satisfying to my nose. In its development, get facets of Williams pear, the slightest savory dill quality, a slight milky sappiness, with a thin plume of smoke running through it. There's an oily buoyancy and velour texture to Rose de Jamal, rendering it limpid in overall feel, suited for a weekend flâneur. It was named for a farmer named Jamal, from which the rose absolute oil was sourced, which I think is one of the most heartwarming explanations for a fragrance's name. My regards to Antoine Lie and Les Indemodables for what has become a new-ish favorite rose that tickles me pink.

Let's get something straight about RBalkris' review below. I strongly disagree that there's other rose perfumes on the market even at a fraction of the price. Respectfully my friend, that is bollocks! Sure you could get yourself a Montale or a Mancera or some Arabic brand for cheap but it wouldn't even come close to this. Now call me a Les Indemodables fanboy but I don't care, this is an earth shatteringly good, rose perfume!!! As much as I love musc des sables, Rose de Jamal is my favourite from the line. Simple. It's monumentally subtle and nuanced, seemingly quite cool and minimal too, not a full bodied rose plonk, or searing jammy sweet thing. The most peculiar thing about it is that I tried it before and didn't quite have this response. I don't know if my nose was fatigued or what but I enjoyed it, thought it was a very decent rose but didn't understand it properly, until sampling again a few months later. Not meaning to be reductive but if you like Lyric Man by Amouage I believe this will blow your mind. It will. The magnetic cap Lyric Man I have is not quite as good as the old original formula I remember but I think this is the ultimate example of that sort of vibe and despite the comparison, this is a highly original and cliche free rose perfume. It floats on the air with an effortless smoke trail to it, reminiscent of lightly spiced incense but at it's heart it's sweet, gorgeous rose, rounded and complex like a true otto, the body of this perfume is musky and milky pale, but also green, lush, fresh and energising. My favourite part is the discrete powdery feel throughout, giving nods to classic talcum powderish perfumes like a Caleche or Derby (perhaps bad examples but they came to mind) The best thing is that the Moroccan rose absolute is dosed at a perfect level to bring it's character to the table and Antoine Lie has expertly crafted a rose accord & perfume around it. I absolutely adore the stuff and a bottle is on the cards for me for Christmas.

This is a review for the Extrait Absolu version (the 12.5ml roller): The scent: It is essentially the same as the EDP but without the, sometimes scratchy, cedar note in the background and a lil bit less mint. Tho some freshness is still there. It's dense, honeyed and full-bodied, petal-flesh-like and "natural" (smells almost identical to how my grandma's damascena roses in her garden used to smell). A beautified soliflore that sits close to the skin and lasts for 5-6 hours. It also projects quite a lot during the first hour, even if I only did a small circle on my arm. After that, it creates a bubble around me for a few more hours, which is very satisfying, before becoming a skin-scent The oil didn't leave any residue whatsoever. I started noticing some ambery and slightly sour elements in the deep drydown, but they smelI very nice still. I wonder if there'll be differences between wears which is how the EDP seems to have from time to time. Will be wearing it more to figure it out (admittedly, it's a very addictive scent, I keep wanting to roll more of it on my skin), but for now, it's very very good. The bottle: unfortunately, the roller bottle had leaked during transit (bought mine from the official Les Indemodables website!), resulting in the box and the glass of the bottle to be smeared in oil. The roller was already oiled as well so, it either has had issues with the seal itself or ...it was pre-used (?). And to top it all off, there was a piece of HAIR inside the bottle, just floating amidst the oil. Thankfully, me personally I'm not *too* disgusted by that (I know others would, and rightfully so!), but it does make for a very disappointing sight every time I see the bottle on my shelf, especially since this is supposed to be a luxury product... So yeah, great scent, but they could do more with their packaging and bottle's quality control.

Not ya grandma’s rose. I received a sample of Rose de Jamal, a replacement of my requested decant of Arcana Rosa. I’m pleasantly surprised. It’s a straight up fresh rose variation. Some complain of how rose can smell “old”, but this seeks to change your mind. I could only use a dabber but the scent is indeed balanced between rose and a minty freshness. There’s a greenness to the rose. This is one of those roses that is specialized in its scent, not heavy and bodied. The lavender peaks through very well in the top notes. I would say it’s a floral “creamy fresh”. Top Notes: In some cases when I’m hungry, my mind paints a picture of a crisp lemon meringue pie that’s made with restraint, combined with Lemon Pledge (but make it fancy). It’s been chilled and is ready. Rinds and all, the essential oils peaking, minus the sugar. There’s NO candy sweetness, that’s probably the rose and lavender speaking. It’s not gourmand at all. I really like how rounded it is too. Middle Notes: Fairly linear, the lavender, while still present and in many ways missed, eventually gives away to the cedar. The rose plays one note mostly, that’s pretty lovely if you’re looking for an aromatic minty lavender rose scent. I don’t think it lasts longer than 8 hours on my skin, but that’s still enough. The longest lasting accord on me is the cedar note after 12 hours (further tests pending). Reminds me of a band-aid that was removed a couple days past, so basically nothing. Neutral and blends away. I would consider a FB.

Rose de Jamal is absolutely outstanding! The notes listed are all very present to my nose---lavender, mint, cedar wood, pink pepper, and of course, rose, lots and lots of authentic rose. The rose doesn't smell jammy or dated; it's superbly fresh and truly perfect for men--sporty, outdoorsy men--in spring and summer. Many people have commented on the ingeniousness of rose/mint combo, and I cannot agree more, but I also want to highlight the pink pepper note. For me, it's the secret ingredient that gives Rose de Jamal its masculine, spicy kick. It's zingy and buoyant. It's also that which distinguishes Rose de Jamal from FM's Geranium Pour Monsieur. I admire the latter too, but with the addition of pink pepper, Rose de Jamal is rendered distinctly modern, an "avant-garde" as much as it is a youthful interpretation of rose. If GpM is for a monsieur on a dressed-up occasion, RdM is for a garçon *on his way* to a sport event, but not quite *at* the event. He's a carefree spirit, a modern flâneur. I don't know why a few reviewers commented on its poor longevity. Rose de Jamal is impressively long-lasting for what might be called a "freshie" fragrance. On my skin it lasts more than 10 hours and, for what it's worth, I could still smell it while walking in midtown Manhattan. At USD260 for a 50ml bottle, Rose de Jamal is painfully pricey. But is it worth this price point? What I can say is: I have yet to find a fragrance on the mainstream or niche market that smells close enough to Rose de Jamal.

I second everything @Searchingscents said! I originally sampled Musc Des Sables and instantly bought the full size bottle so I decided to purchase the discovery set from this house to become acquainted with the other offerings and wow!! I'm amazed by this set. Every single sample is amazing and in line with the mission that Valérie Pulvérail has with creating and offering rare perfumes. Anyway, about this fragrance... I really have a hard time with rose fragrances and the Rose de Jamal is amazing!! I have tried probably hundreds of rose scents in this similar-ish style and none have came close (maybe Rose 31 by Le Labo but still, no) Anyone can wear this. 🤤 For context, I have and love oud Satin Mood, Delina exclusif/ la Rosée, atomic rose, etc. - that's as rosy as I get. Happy and can't wait to purchase! 🌹

I LOVE IT. No one would assume right off that it's rose. It's the element of the exact part of a rose scent I have loved all my life and tried to explain to people. It's the best part, the deep and masculine part of the rose, not the flowery light part. This may be my signature scent. I have the sample discovery set. This is scent resonates with me in a deep way. A person might not even notice you're wearing a fragrance, they'll subconsciously just think YOU smell great. Rose De Jamal is a solid fragrance of the quality that would match the 1980's block buster fragrances, but more subtle and more refined. I had hoped id grow up to be the kind of man who could wear a fragrance like this, and I think I am. Only drawback is the price, expensive for me. I wish they sold half sized bottles. But I love it!!!

Rose de Jamal. What can I say about it? It is a sort of "chose inouï" in the realm of rose-forward scents. Unheard of. Unsmelled of. For me at least. Rose at its most sublime, laced with spicy green mint and tame clean lavender. all shored up by cedar, quite assertive and not at all self-depricating and intimidated by the supremacy of rose. There is a harmonic kinship of souls here between the few elements I pick up. Minimalistic but at the same time full of nightly passions. This is a scent that should be rocked at night. Had it been worn by C.C.Baxter when saying," l love you miss Kubelik, he would have heard "I love you too Mr. Baxter" instead of "shut up and deal". This is a scent a true lover man would be able to pull off and conquer the world.

Les Indemodables Rose de Jamal (2019) - minty rose - I have loved #dominiqueropion ‘s #geraniumpourmonsieur and this #antoinelie creation is like a long-lost cousin of it. Starts with Mint, Lavender and Pink pepper. The mint isn’t as mouthwash strong as Ropion’s, but it’s there - spicy, sweet, herbal and sharp. A beautiful rose accord comes into play quickly. As not all roses smell the same, the type of rose chosen has facets that are clean, lemony, slightly powdery and woody, not jammy or extremely floral. This made the sharpness of the mint tone down and rounded it out. The cedar wood oil supports the roses in its base with the mint-pepper combo wafting every now and then. Refreshing.

A friend of mine sent me a decant of this and I didn't expect much because I'm not really a rose aficionado. But I cannot deny the beauty of this fragrance. One of the best natural smelling rose scents I've ever smelled in my life. The mint really lifts up the rose absolute and the lavender mellows it out and makes it totally tranquil. The pepper is perfectly balanced and the cedar (one of my favorite notes) gives it character and keeps it from going too fem for my taste. Absolutely stunning fragrance from a house that continues to impress me. Scent 10/10 Performance 5/10

I love this house. Les Indemodables produces one of my favorite fragrances (Ambre Supreme) and Rose de Jamal is also a beautifully blended near perfect creation. Lovely spicy rose opening. Nothing synthetic smelling about this. Just pure natural musky rose. A hint of mint. Very unisex and the most masculine of any rose centered fragrance I’ve tried. Decent projection. Dry down is dusty rose and cedar. Pure and lovely. The only downside on my skin is that I get 4+ hours total where I’d love a bit more length. Yet what a 4 hours!

Anyone who has read some of my reviews from time to time knows that I love the Rose, which I consider the Queen of flowers: here it has a new, incredibly elegant and beautiful conception. She is masterfully paired with mint, accompanied by lavender with a few sprinkles of pepper: exceptional. She struck me right away and ended up on my wishlist. "Pink Roses" painted by Kirchner: modern, particular, unusual but always full of beauty.

The first blast was almost like a surge of YSL Paris but with more natural smelling roses. Then I get Patchouli...the hippy patchouli from the 70s but cleaner woodsy with beautiful roses - true roses not perfume roses. OMG this is good. Not too sweet. I know there is no patchouli so it must be the combination of the mint, cedar and pepper. This house can do no wrong.

Wow. 5 hours in, and already it's morphed at LEAST 3 times. It starts off rose and gherkin pickle, then morphs into rose and mint. Then, it morphs into minty-vetiver. Now, it's a cedar woody basey beast. It's insane the gymnastics this scent is pulling. The dry down reminds me of Bello Rabello by LLI, but the journey it takes me on is much MUCH more impressive...

Natural rose smell. High quality ingredients. Totally worth a full bottle. The opening is so amazing cannot get bored of. There is a touch of creaminess too. Got good sillage for about 1.5 hrs. Longevity is great for this kind of scents. It last for about 9 - 10 hrs depends on weather. Best wear during summer.
