Let's start with saying this is definitely a CHAOTIC scent. To the point, I almost feel like I am smelling 3 different fragrances on its lifetime. The opening feels incredibly fresh spicy with all the pepper and ginger, to the point it tingles your nose. This may feel off putting to some people, I liked it. The sensation of pepper/spice diminishes, yet still lightly remains after the opening. The scent also has a very fruity vibe due to all the citruses. In this manner it is quite unique, as it is both fresh/uplifting and spicy at the same time. After the opening, the synthetic pomarose smells truly beautiful. On my skin I get like almost 50%pomarose, and 30% cacao which is much higher than I anticipated. With my friends who tried this, the cacao works as a background agent. For me and some, It made itself truly present. For this reason do not blind buy. It smells different on different people. The drydown is quite wood heavy and smells almost like an entirely different scent on its own. However, nothing special about it really. My expectations on longevity were a bit disappointing. After the 4 hours mark, it basically turned into a skin scent. I was expecting more due to pomarose and akigalawood being strong synthetics. However, the sillage and projection is unexpectedly good. I even received a compliment from a lovely old lady who stopped me on the street to compliment this. You do not feel like it projects, but it does for sure. Overall, I would give this a 4.5/5. However thanks to the artistic attempt and its highly unique composition, I will give this a 5 instead of 4.

Wow! I’ve read the reviews here and I find them irrelevant. I fell in love with this and had to overcome my objection which was I have any number of similar and indeed many woody scents. That’s right folks - this is not a blood orange or Akigala wood or pepper or citrus - it’s a sweet slightly peppered cedar wood - wood pencil shavings at that. If you pour it on the opening is sweetened by soft berries (go figure the note table) Normally this would be a bore for me but as is often the case with LLI it’s done so well it amazing. So, there’s some pepper adding a bite and depth, some freshness from some citrus and grape and maybe some subtle ginger airiness but these and the other notes are subtlety enhancing the woody cedar (I mean when you smell it the cedar smacks you in the face) - the subtle tonka and vanillic aspect later in the drydown help take the bite out and enhance the akigala wood experience- all the other notes swirl around making it just that little bit more interesting and keeps you hooked... Well done LLI!

This fragrance surprised me in the most dangerous way.. and I absolutely LOVE it. On my skin it smells like spiced, cacao dusted blood oranges melting into a warm sensual woody base. It’s addictive from the first few seconds. The blood orange is glowing and juicy, not sharp, and when the cacao blooms.. everything shifts. It’s rich and smooth.. almost creamy, wrapped in a vanillic warmth that makes it genuinely mouthwatering when paired with the juicy citrus and decadent spices. While it’s technically structured as a spicy woody composition, my skin pulls it a bit more into gourmand territory. The cacao amplifies, enveloping around the citrus, spice, and woody notes in a way that feels indulgent but controlled. Sweet but never syrupy. Sensual but not heavy. There’s still a woody backbone keeping it grounded, which makes the whole thing feel sophisticated rather than dessert like. It’s sexy. Slightly mysterious. Completely intoxicating. I genuinely can’t stop smelling my wrist!

Ame du Couer opens with a fruity, realistic, vibrant mandarin with a side-helping of blood orange which, with the spicy addition of pepper, cardamom and ginger comes off like a wintery, festive orange. The woodsy notes unfurl into a base of modern vanilla and the cacao, tonka and plum fill out the spaces in between, giving it some heft. The top notes, which burn fast and bright, are ephemeral and once beyond this stage, AdC will appeal to lovers of woody vanilla fragrances. I highly recommend testing this on skin as it comes off completely different on a test strip and much better. This perfume opens on me with a soft yet confident pepper accord. Right after that, a very vivid note of red orange unfolds, with its characteristic tart bitterness that adds freshness and energy to the fragrance. In the heart, guaiac wood truly makes itself known in all its beauty - warm, sun-heated wood with a gentle balsamic nuance. It envelops and softens the composition, adding depth and a velvety texture. There is also a hint of sweetness in this fragrance, which makes it feel even rounder and more harmonious. All together, it creates an airy, radiant scent 🌬️ that lingers on the skin and in the air for a long time, leaving behind a warm, slightly spicy-woody trail.

Top notes are soooo good. I get pink pepper, blood orange, and ginger combo which is super fresh and addictive. I don’t get too much of anything. (if you think this is too much pepper then don’t try Pepper by Comme des Garcons ‘cuz your head will probably Xplode). This one turned powdery pretty quick with cardamom and vanilla opening up to a scent that reminds me of that Bazooka bubblegum powdery sweet feeling. Juice color definitely matches scent profile. Not a powerhouse fragrance and not much transition. Seems like an everyday/everywhere scent with minimal projection. May lean slightly feminine, but I’m digging this. Glad I blind bought this one on sale.

I haven't smelled a fragrance that fits the pyramid of tones so precisely in a long time. With minimal deviations, a very rich yet pleasant composition, just a shame about the shorter longevity and weaker sillage. It's not exactly a weak fragrance, but a little higher voltage would suit it. Top notes are recognizably pink pepper, red orange, grapefruit, gin, body vanilla cookie, cocoa and drydown retro play-doh (the one that was sold in the form of cubes on a paper base and sealed in plastic), strong undertones of licorice. On a sweeter note but doable as serious office too.

This fragrance is one of my favorites in my collection. It is such a beautiful woody, spicy, zingy scent with a fresh orange quality that I find equally as beautiful in the summer as it is in the winter. This is perfect on its own, but I find this one very easy and fun to layer with - I love to layer this one with Ingenious Ginger by Goldfield and Banks. My only wish is that it would last longer. It is one that I have to reapply if I want a full days wear, which because of how much I love this scent, I don’t really mind the compromise.

a divine scent, really unlike anything ive ever experienced, going to different shops, scenting colognes. I don't have the proper perfume fanatic vocabulary as I cant describe what scent I'm smelling, all I can say is DIVINE. RICH. Beautiful. The translation of the parfum is "Soul of the Heart", and I can't say for others, but it so wonderfully blends with my spirit. Not too overpowering, sometimes even forgetting you have it on but when you move your face just right, or simply focus on it... Blessed you are!

Edit: you won't realize this immediately. But this perfume is one of the best woody perfumes out there. It's beauty lies in it's direct simplicity. It's simply divine with the best trail and projection. Extremely good. It should be considered one of the best new fragrances. It leaves an amazing trail in the air. Original review: This makes me think of a warm, fresh bagel with sesame for some reason. And I like that. On the other hand, the citrus and wooden notes remind me of Diptyque's L'eau des Hesperides.

It's a very unique scent for me. I could smell gourmand vibe on my skin. Warm yet playful, spicy note from pink pepper dominates at first spray. Blood orange follows. Vanilla and woody notes play a pivotal role on my skin. This Perfume reminds me of festive occasion. The longevity is also not bad at all. I love it so much.

This is so, so good. It smells like a hot sauna. Very, very woody, with a strong note of cardamom. As a Scandinavian sauna lover this is childhood for me. After a while I do get the fruit and maybe even the rose, but overall it smells like warm, wet wood. This may be my favorite of all the liquides imaginaires I have.

I love this! I love a peppery zing in my top notes and the blood orange and ginger brighten it up! There’s a lot going on and while I don’t understand it, I do enjoy it. Wish it was a little stronger actually!

Juicy, spicy blood orange. The notes seem chaotic, but it works so well. The marketing with rubies seems appropriate for this, as if you cracked one open, I could imagine it smelling like ame du coeur.

An excellent, underrated gem of a predominantly woody fragrance with just the right amount of citrus, spices, and overall airiness to make it interesting. Lasts and lasts. Very smooth. Love.

Absolutely adore this perfume! It is my daily signature perfume. Love the fresh mandarin upon first apply and after it settles for nice warm pepper notes.

Lovely woody spicy perfume. This is fantastic. Smells like rhubarb and library books in a waxed oak panelled room with a bowl of orange. Delish.

This scent is super complex, not for a not used nose, but if u have experience on fragrances you really understand how amingly blended it is

I did not expect to like it based on the notes and thought that my initial impressions were deceiving. But I was wrong, I love it. It is such a special, warm, spicy and pillowy scent! And normally I'm not that much into spicy scents, but this one is unique. Red pepper, blood orange give beautiful cozy warmth, beautifully grounded/rounded by vanilla (vanillic). And Akigalawood gives it beautiful contemporary uniqueness. It performs well, but I wish it was a tad bit stronger and projected more, since I like it so much. But a few extra spritzes may solve this issue. I absolutely encourage you to try it, even if you are doubting it based on the notes (aš did I at the begging) :)

Reviewing a sample from 2024. Ames du Coeur was launched in 2024. This is a unique airy spicy woody fragrance with sparkle. Part of the Les Eau de L'Ame trilogy which includes the interesting Beaute du Diable. Âme Du Coeur opens with clean citrus (mostly orange) supported by a peppery balsamic note almost incense-like. The base is complex with woods and vetiver. It remains surprisingly light and airy. No off-putting notes. Quality- very good 3.5/5 Unisex Performance - excellent 4/5 Complex but light making this easy to wear. Perfect for a winter festive fragrance. If you enjoy spicy fruity notes this is a must to try. 7.5/10

This is quite lovely. It reminds me very strongly of Pathetique by O'Driu, which I love, but dialled down – it has that same lovely smoky, woody smell, but it’s slightly sweeter and softer. In terms of projection, it sits very close, so if you’ve tried Pathetique and liked it, but found it too strong/spicy, this would be a good option. Me, I really like it, but it’s too similar to warrant buying a full bottle, especially given the price. I’ll definitely enjoy the sample while it lasts though.

If you are from Singapore, you know the drink 100plus. The opening smells just like it. Dries down similar to Ingenious Ginger by Goldfield & Banks. Quite a bright and uplifting scent. Blood orange is very prominent in the deep dry down.

Spicy, bitter citrus with a woody base with spiciness that still lingers in the background. Didn't like it at first because of the strong opening. Don't like spicy fragrances that much but this one is an exception

A crisp, fruity blast of bergamot, grapefruit, lemon, lime, and light sandalwood. Bright and ripe, but lacks depth and feels like a top note in search of a better perfume.

This is identical to Lune Feline by Atelier des ors, I can’t understand how nobody mentions that. It’s a beautiful fragrance for me but I already the other one.

Less woody than I hoped, actually. This is a pleasant blood orange scent, with some wood and spices in the background. Well blended, as usual. A good LI scent.

It is different. In a nice way. It makes me get up and go... move forward. It brings me far and away. It is my forest, my garden, my spice box in one bottle.

Very nice, bright opening, citrusy and spicy. Kind of original approach. I really love the top notes. Alas, it's short living with a very intimate sillage.

🧪 Laboratory Heart ❤️ It begins with a dry shot of pepper, but the fire fades faster than you can truly feel it. Yet, something is working beneath the surface. You can sense the tart acidity of grapefruit and the neon, fruity echo of Pomarose. It is like a complex reaction inside a glass test tube: something bubbles, promising a breakthrough, but the grand finale never arrives. There is no spark to trigger the explosion. Instead of a revolution, we are left with a sterile silence. The fragrance settles on the skin as boring, creamy wood, smoothed out by laboratory vanillin. It is polite and clean, but devoid of texture or life. This is the Soul of the Heart, but instead of beating in a chest, it pulses steadily inside glass equipment. super unique. the first 30 seconds are heavily dominated by black pepper. the following couple of hours are really good. fruity, spicy blood orange. but after that it has some really synthetic, playdough-like nuances- which kind of ruin this fragrance for me. the scent profile has great potential, i hope there will be made some improvements on it by other brands but you can only hope

It's a shame the akigalawood is so prominent here after the opening. It's one of those synthetic molecules that is noticeably synthetic to smell, which isn't always a negative, but in this case it leaves me feeling nothing much at all. Everyone saying they smell too much pepper or patchouli? It's the akigalawood.

I mostly get blood orange in the opening and then vetiver in the dry down. The dry down smells exactly like Estee Lauder Blushing Sands to me.

I wish it was less fruity. Or those fruits at least wouldn't be so annoying. The pepper is gorgeously done, but that fruitiness... I just can't. It makes me nauseous. I recommend Poivre Imperial by Caron for those who love the pepper note, but can't stand the fruitiness in here.

Opens with straight up black pepper. It never really smooths out for me. The cacao and woods try to round things out in the dry down, but the sharpness lingers. Okay sillage and longevity. Unique, sure... but not wearable for me. Not full-bottle worthy.

It's spicy, it's masculine, it is woody and earthy. I was hoping for a feminine masterpiece like Blanche Bete, but this is more appropriate for a man. I'm selling my 2ml sample on Mercari.

I unfortunatelly dislike most of the LI fragrances I tried.... The wood is simply too overpowering on me. Duration and sillage is enormous.

A complex, gorgeous, fruity, woody scent completely ruined by an overdose of black pepper.

Unfortunately it smells exactly like a cough sirup from my childhood. Not for me.

Such an odd fragrance. I fell in love with it instantly, bought the full bottle, then I thought it was just okay. But a year later.. I'm starting to like this again. You can smell almost every note, the peppers, the blood orange (main stage, and I love it), the cypress , the cacao and rose, the cedar and woods. To me, for a long period of time, this smelled like a fancy hooker. I don't know why I get this vibe, but it KINDA smells like a flavored condom, due to it smelling a bit like rubber, fruits and stuff.. It's almost long lasting, and its sillage is above moderate.

This was love at first smell... The freshness of the orange and the spiciness of the pepper allows it to be worn throughout the year, although I have only had it during this winter. The opening is a fading orange and pepper and dries into a woody powdery vanilla scent. The enticing thing about this fragrance is its duplicity. It is a juicy orange, but the blood orange dries it out. this is backed up by the two different peppers. On my skin I get 6 - 8 hours of longevity with medium projection. I definently recommend getting your nose on this.

It's a pretty nice smelling scent but very synthetic. I've just experienced too much Amber-woody materials, ambroxen, etc. I prefer more natural smelling scents. The opening of this Âme Du Coeur is nice with that vibrant, concentrated, sweet fruity, spicy citrus melange of blood orange, pink pepper, ginger, grapefruit, and maybe even that synthetic pomarose note, which supposedly imparts a "powerful rose fruity smell" . Its pretty intense in a good way. Not a bad smelling scent, but synthetic and not too unique.

Too spicy to handle. Âme Du Coeur (Soul of the Heart, as known as Love) smells insanely spicy. The brand collected all the spicy notes known to the mankind and put them in one bottle. It smells like black pepper, pink pepper, ginger, cypress, cardamon. Under this explosion of spice, you can smell a backbone of grapefruit pulp. Grapefruit pulp, covered in freshly grounded black pepper corns, topped with grated ginger. From what recipe was this inspired from? Not my type of perfume. Thank you, next!

Smelled incredible when I first tried it but it turns into a cream soda-like scent on my skin. I can maybe catch the middle notes if I squint, but on me there’s not much of a difference between this and GW or Tocca Colette. I don’t mind it, but it doesn’t stick out enough for me to buy a full bottle. The one thing that *does* stick out for me is the cocoa note on the drydown. It’s more powdery than I was expecting, like opening a packet of hot chocolate.

Ooof that black pepper is in charge here and it overpowers all the other beautiful things going on. The uplifting fruits and citruses don’t stand a chance here. It smells like one of those tiny paper pepper packets (say that 10 times fast). I sprayed it on paper and it dried down smelling like an extinguished campfire, slightly ambery, without a trace of brightness. Not at all a bad fragrance but that pepper needs to calm tf down.

Smells like Aperol - more like the liqueur than the cocktail. Starts slightly bitter, citrusy, and fruity; becomes woodier, spicier, and a bit dusty in the drydown. I detect cacao as well, more like milk chocolate. Ame Du Coeur smells somewhat synthetic in the drydown, but remains addictive, though.

I was interested in this until I saw Akilgalawood...🤯 It’s a synthetic blend of patchouli and black pepper, which is a no for me. I’ll wait to see more reviews. Hopefully that note is toned down and dialed way, way back.

Zesty citrus, soft cardamom, black pepper with a smooth suede, amber and creamy vanilla ice cream. Semi-gourmand with a nice contrasting darkness, very wearable in pretty much all seasons. Great!

Why do soooo many perfumes on Fragrantica have the Avon Charmed perfume as a reminds me of suggestion???? I mean, I guess a lot of people put the Dora perfume too. Is it a joke?

hm... its a sad fragrance I am very disappointed about. Smelled boring and not pleasant for 15 mins and then the scent was completely gone.
