Bello Rabelo

Bello Rabelo is one of those fragrances that does not seek the applause of the crowd, but rather the close attention of those who know how to listen. The opening is fascinating: a warm, winey, liqueur-like impact (undoubtedly Port!) intertwined with sweet and raisin-like nuances. It is like breathing in the scent of an antique barrel kissed by the warmth of a candle... an atmosphere that captivates without needing to shout. Yes, it does not have an overwhelming trail, nor does it claim to have one. On my skin—which usually retains woods and ambers well—it will perform discreetly for about 4 hours, maintaining that sweet, liqueur-like, and slightly resinous scent that makes it recognizable and personal. As I said, however, despite its lack of spectacular longevity and projection, I am still fascinated by it. It is not a perfume for the stage, but for close quarters. It is designed for those who prefer to be discovered, not imposed upon; for those who want to leave an impression only on those who come close enough to deserve it. And perhaps this is its greatest asset: Bello Rabelo is an intimate, elegant, and complex perfume that does not show off: it allows itself to be deciphered.

Usually a big fan of Deadidol's reviews but not in this case it would seem. Yes Bello Rabelo has it's faults, the longevity is not there and it's not as instantly great as HdP Marquis de Sade (which I do agree is similar) but hey it's trying to be something different. Namely a wine scent and for me this wine trio from Liquides Imaginaires are perfectly executed. I'd go as far to say Bello Rabelo opens like a very fine red wine and as it dries down to port and then almost brandy. The immortelle, labdanum are a pungent basis for this perfume but never live up to there full resinous potential. There's a rounded almost gourmand sweetness in the dry down from a hint of vanilla. The point is, Bello Rabelo is so close, it's knocking on the door of perfection for me. I love the smell, it's sublime and sophisticated but ultimately becomes a skin scent too quickly, which I can almost forgive it for. Worth a sniff for sure.

This is absolutely a stunning fragrance! The combination of notes is what makes in so beautiful and unique. Opens slightly sweet and tart at the same time, leaning towards sweeter aspect. The red wine provides that zesty blast and Immortel with dry fruits lend sweetness to the opening. It has stunning mid and early drydown, when the opening notes blend with resins, Labdanum and Benzoin. The scent changes direction to become a tad fruity with hints of smokiness emanating probably from Labdanum. Later Vanilla adds depth to it. By no means this is a Vanilla forward scent. There are just subtle accents of Vanilla. Overall, love it! One of the best in my collection.

This is the signature fragrance of one of the founders of the brand - and for a good reason. This is incredible, sooo good and rich. The drydown is very licoricey and reminds me of the discontinued treasure Kenzo Air for men. The anise is stronger here and more earthy and less airy and refreshing which I actually prefer. I feel like there are also some similarities with Le Participe Passé by Serge Lutens which is another amazing new perfume with magical staying powers. This is an incredible perfume. By the way: The nose behind this perfume is Nadège Le Garlantezec.

Bello Rabelo is an addictively liquorous scent that opens with--yes, you guessed it--red wine. Immortelle then brings a hay-like aspect that turns this into a rich, ambery beauty. Plump with dry fermenting sour fruits with a soft woody depth that feels rather tawny like a wood cask aged port. Labdanum adds a beautifully botanic musk infused drydown while benzoin offers languid tranquility. The fragrance is smooth and deep without being too boozy or sharp. Beautifully intoxicating and full-bottle worthy bliss. Bella Rabelo is the best of the Eau Sanguine trio.

muted but truly beautiful. the immortelle and porto combo is glorious. the woody notes make the composition quite deep, it stays boozy with a dry, darker sweetness. smells like the highest quality porto barrel.

Some of the pictures of this fragrance show that the juice is red and some others show that it is green/blue-ish, why is that? 🤔

I recently obtained a sample of this fragrance and it was chosen as my scent of the day today. It's not quite as bad for me as some others seem to feel about it in previous reviews. On my skin it smells like a sweet red wine with a base of creamy and sweet vanilla. Completely pleasant but a little bit boring. It projected and lasted far better on my skin than for the previous reviewers as well. It projected pretty well for the first 3.5-4 hours before settling much closer to the skin but it didn't become a true skin scent until about the 7.5 hour mark. As of the 11 hr mark I still caught very faint wafts of it. The sillage was also pretty good for me in the first 3 hours or so. Scent : 7.5/10 it is, like I said, very pleasant to me but doesn't really wow me much. Longevity : 8/10. It is the 12 hour mark now and I'm still faintly smelling it, so that's pretty good. I just wish the mid stayed strong like the opening. It does become a skin scent too quickly and I think if it stayed strong like in the opening people would love it a lot more, I know I would. Projection : 7/10. For a $270 CAD fragrance, I would expect better. It doesn't project for long enough on my skin. Sillage : 6.5 : Again, doesn't last long enough. Final thoughts... I agree that the projection and sillage could be better. The scent, too, isn't anything groundbreaking, in my opinion but I did enjoy testing it out as my scent of the day. It's just nice and pleasant. If the opening and projection lasted longer into the mid, it might really change the overall experience. Still, it's hardly the worst I've ever tested. I think for the price point, we should expect more but I can see a lot of people really loving this and buying it. For me, I think there's better fragrances for much less money but everything is subjective. As always, I always recommend that you sample first and test it on your own skin. Your experience might be completely different.

Wine and blood.... Intertwined like two deep crimson inks swirling in a baroque chalice 🍷🥀 The opening greets me with a cool metallic shimmer and a faint yeasty rise, reminiscent of ancient cellars where oak barrels breathe in the dark. Living up to its name, "Eau Sanguine" bears a soft, blood-tinged undercurrent woven through the wine. In truth, it carries a far more vampiric resonance than Bloody Wood ever managed. What unfolds afterward is a rich, cathedral-quiet wine cellar: dried fruits, shadowed wood, the mellow hum of time resting on stone. Every moment feels steeped in garnet velvet, decadent and nocturnal, the immortelle adding its honeyed, slightly burnt warmth to the shadows. I adored each shift, each deepening hue. Its only fault is its longevity; still, applied generously, it reveals its full opulent character: lush, dark, and intoxicating. I’ve always had a soft spot for this house and its peculiar magic. I’ve tried so many of their perfumes, yet this one somehow hid from me until now... Bello Rabelo feels very real and tangible as a perfume; as if you just so happen to smell like a wine cellar or even a crystalline cave layered with musky sugars and resins. I don't see this scent as something too conceptual and complex, but rather a smooth and rich wine perfume that has the same layered aroma as a room temperature glass of red. I'm a tad bit confused by past reviews, but a few factors impacted my review: price and desire. I have known and long since sampled from Les Liquides in years past, but it's just now getting a bit cheaper or finding bottles out on off price sites. (Like less than $100 for a 3.4 tester cheap) So the wait was worth it. Not to mention, that I have long since wanted a wine perfume; I've tried a slew of them and I quite like this one. So it's signature scent worthy, as it's far more layered and aged compared to the brand's other wine scent, Bloody Wood. Which as I tested last year proves itself to be the more sweet and gothic younger sibling to Bello Rabelo.

Evapora anch'essa e sbocciano labdano e immortelle, una dolcezza bianca su un fondo resinoso, legnoso ma sempre soave. I fiori diventano polvere di fiori in poche gocce di liquore. Skinscent mite, intimo. Tutta la parabola si risolve in circa due ore. Troppo rapidamente per me. Il profumo è originale (e costoso) ma la persistenza è scarsa, trip interessante ma breve.

So pretty and feminine. It starts with intense licorice sensation and soon mellows to bubble gum intensity of the ingredients.. In a most adorable and sophisticated way. I suspect red wine + dried fruits create this effect. Add to it subtle resins, vanilla, aromatic wood. Immortelle as herbal counterpart. And wow, this is incredibly cute, addictive and intriquing.

The opening is so beautiful and realistic! Red wine with spices! But it lacks of performance. After anout 1 hour it settles very close to the skin and all I get is dried fruits and spices. There are also noticeable immortelle and resins. Longevity is also moderate. Most of its life is a nice skin scent. Beautiful scent but it's not enough for me.

Smells exactly like port, dried fruit and Amber— a combo of resins and vanilla. I wore Bello Rabelo for several hours then reapplied so I could experience the opening again. The scent is comforting and natural. Beautiful.

A spicy, fruity scent of red wine. Nothing spectacular. Way too overpriced for such scent & performance. Pass.

An odd one from LLI! I don't have experience with wine accords (and I don't like wine, at least as a drink) but even I could immediately pick up the wine in this. It didn't quite hit me right from the opening but 10-15 minutes in, it definitely pushed out and it got very winey. The opening to me was all about amber and vanilla. Very sweet and overbearing. I got reminded of Amouage's Material for a moment. Then the dried fruits came in (cranberry??). I definitely got the red wine vibe. Not necessarily unpleasant but still very sweet, very airy and almost heady, headache inducing. Thankfully it calmed down after a while but this is not quite my cup of tea (or glass of wine!). I also got a bushy greenness which I think is the immortelle. It pushed out for about 2-3 hours before it dried down to an odd, almost soured fruit scent a couple or hours in for the remaining time close to skin for a total of about 5-6 hours. Ultimately, it kind of left me indifferent. I liked it more on strip than on my skin. My chemistry killed it flat, I think. I found myself wishing I smelt less fruit and more resins (resins never really showed much on my skin at all).

Retested for summer weather. The wine note is just a bit too realistic and the traditional amber accord which is one of my favorite notes is just a bit too heavy for summer. Somehow it seems too aromatic even though there isn't anything in the note list that should have that effect. It's oddly bitter for a fragrance with dried fruits and vanilla in it, which is probably due to the red wine being just a bit too much. There are sweet red wines but this isn't one. I rated this for winter only and changed my rating from like to ok. Since I live in a hot desert I don't need many winter only fragrances.

The scent of red wine and snacks is like dried lamb fruit. After that, the gentle sweetness of Labdanum and Amber gradually scents. The vanilla feeling is thin. I don't feel the bitterness of flowers like red wine.

at first it smells like dates. but then, probably because i have a gene that makes me dislike/unable to detect celery, i smell a terrible celery odor.

I got a decant of this, and it was lovely. It was a deep red, and I appreciated it more than Bloody Wood. It was between the two, and I chose this. Fast-forward a few months, and I purchased a proper bottle. The bottle arrives, and it's green. It's... green. It's green, and it has no projection whatsoever. It's a skin scent as soon as I set the bottle back on the counter. It smells... fine. It doesn't quite have the kick the little travel size had. It was a beautiful, deep, woody scent with a subtle background of red wine. It's why I bought it. Now it's just... a forest in the distance on a foggy night, and that's being generous. I emailed them about my bottle, and I'm not surprised that I haven't heard back. I want to like this more than I do, as I really love what this brand is going for. I love their water scents and their earthy ones, which they have discontinued. Starting to wonder if this needs to be discontinued, also. I'm keeping it because I'm stubborn. I'll layer it with other things.
