Dom Rosa Millésimé

As i happen to have a decant with the original Dom Rosa at home also so I have been able to compare the regular Dom Rosa with this new Dom Rosa Millésimé version and though they clearly are similar they are still different. Not different enough however I think to warrant a need for both. More a matter of which direction one likes to go. The Millésimé is also as promised more concentrated so the longevity and the silage is stronger even though this is perhaps not a super projector but still a somewhat potent freshie. With a pretty good lasting power on me at least for a citrus dominant fragrance. The regular Dom Rosa is more subtle and wears after dry down more as a skin scent. First of all there is the matter of the champagne... The champagne in both is lovely but here in the top is where you get the biggest difference between the two fragrances. The champagne note is more dry in the regular Dom Rosa whereas in the Millésimé it is a lot more the impression of a citrus infused champagne drink laced with something that feels red like maybe a hint of red or perhaps even white currants. The pomelo no doubt shows off a lot more here and complements the pear. While the bit more dry champagne with a bit of pear and not so much pomelo creates the top of the regular one. As the regular Dom Rosa is more sweet underneath the champagne and less citrusy at the top I find that the rose perhaps stand out a little bit more in the regular one. but on the other hand it becomes more fun and whimsical in the Millésimé. The clove and the olibanum are in both versions very subtle and I do not get a particular incensey feel from any of them. It is more a matter of giving roundness to the slight sweetness in the regular and something for the citruses and the fruity champagne drink to adhere to in the Millésimé. The clove is so subtle I hardly can pick it up. But it may bring a slight twist to the fizzy feeling of Dom Rosa almost as like a hint of Coca Cola, but very very subtle and citrus covered. That is even more subdued in the regular version of the fragrance. Despite the fact that this composition on paper looks like it would be quite wood heavy it is far from the truth as far as experience of this fragrance goes. Instead the mix of woods are sublimely put together and that for me goes for both these fragrances. Particularly the guaiac wood and the vetiver notes feel sublime to this cedar wood composition. Overall I really enjoy Dom Rosa Millésimé a lot. I enjoy my decant of the original version too - as it obviously made me blind buy a full bottle of the Millésimé. And even though I find them not super similar - I am still glad I went with the Millésimé version of the perfume. Even though I first felt a bit disappointed about the less obvious bread-dry champagne of the original being exchanged with a spritzy champagne drink with some berries on top... But it turns out that champagne drink is quite intoxicating and I can see myself carrying this often now during this spring and summer. It is really quite beautiful! ❣️

I feel lied to, and I’ll tell you why. The brand says that this one is more concentrated and it’s a special edition (boy I hope it’s also limited) but is it, really? Both bottles say 79% alc on the box. What I think they mean is a slight shift towards the mid and base notes when compared to the original. This version is richer and deeper, while the original is drier and, I’ll be honest, less potent. The Millésimé is noticeably more fruity and musky (giving that damp/wet juicyness) In my opinion there’s some currant buds here, too. Some mention soil or earth - no, not really, not to my nose. It still is a rose wine, maybe even sparkling - it’s just this time it’s not fully dry, not a brut; more like semi-dry with way more fruity floral nuances (cranberries, currant bud, lychee, grapefruit instead of pomelo, raspberry, candied lemon etc). Projects well for two hours, has a ‚tail for 4-5, maybe more in high heat. Will last for 7 easily. A complete unisex for me (how do you put a gender on a rose Prosecco?!) but hear me out. I bought it, but it’s overpriced. You can find cheap regular Dom Rosas online (way less than 200€) and Millésimé is 50€ more than even the retail 200. It’s not more concentrated in my opinion (just reshuffled amounts of ingredients) and I’m afraid that in a month of two you’ll find it for 100€ less on the discounters and I’ll be left with an overpriced bottle. Plus, I hope it’s a limited, anniversary edition as the two don’t differ enough (don’t buy Millésimé if you own the original) so having two in the regular offer seems like a way to milk more money on the clients.

The scent opens with such a vivid champagne note that it is almost ridiculous. And when I tell you it is PHOTOREALISTIC: properly fizzy, yeasty, cold, a little heady. The kind of opening that genuinely got me under that faintly tipsy illusion off the first spray alone—insane. It mellows down in the next 5 minutes into wine with a pale gold brightness, and slightly fermented, slightly jammy bite. And this stage lasts surprisingly well, which is what makes it so fun. After that, the rose comes in, but thankfully it isn't the syrupy or heavy or overly romantic kind. If you could just imagine: it's more like a green rose tinted by the champagne than a full deep red floral taking over the whole composition. The pomelo helps a lot here and you really do get that bitter-citrus edge, something slightly pithy and tart that cuts through the rosiness. The overall effect is the loveliest sparkling rosé with a woody underside. It's intoxicating as much as it is addictive. I've my nose buried deep in this scent even as we speak. Effervescent, rosy, with a touch of citrus peel, god this really does put you somewhere. The first mouthful of cold sparkling rosé hitting before you have even properly sat down. Elegant glassware catching the sun. An expensive, celebratory, and sexy scent all at once. Stunning, stunning, STUNNING. The atmosphere of actually being there, half a glass in, slightly flushed, and very pleased with life.

Liquides Imaginaires Dom Rosa Millésimé feels like rosé champagne turned into liquid silk. It has something incredibly elegant and almost sparkling about it: at first it truly smells like a toast of pink bubbles and dewy rose petals, but then it becomes deeper, velvety, and sensual, with a more mature and refined fruity-wine facet. The rose portrayed in this fragrance is anything but ordinary or predictable. In fact, it’s the first perfume that has genuinely recreated the scent of some roses growing in my grandmother’s garden... pale, luminous yet narcotic roses, with an enchanting but powerful aroma, intoxicating, almost fantasy-like, but here Dom Rosa also adds that extra fizzy twist that evokes champagne. Performance-wise, it’s definitely not for those chasing “beast mode”, but honestly, who cares. Don’t misunderstand: it performs good, though not in a room-filling way. But you see, I think that the point is that this fragrance is not meant to scream for attention or dominate a room: it invites people to come closer and discover it through elegant intimacy. More of a self-declaration fragrance then a public statement, and I find this working in an exquisite way

I will always love you, Dom Rosa. This review is not about the spectacular pyramid of this beautiful, head spinning fragrance. This review is a love letter to one of the most romantic fragrances I have ever tried. Dom Rosa Millésimé is the smell of falling asleep on a shoulder of the love of your life in the back of a taxi. This fragrance is getting ready for a party with the girls. This fragrance is a love note on a mirror. This fragrance is coming home from an opera after 2 glasses of prosecco. This fragrance is like getting in a good mood immediately because you remembered that one anecdote. This fragrance is kissing in a rose garden at night. This fragrance is when someone says “love is in the air” and it is. This is my “happy” fragrance. The Millésimé version is worth every single penny. I’m so glad it exists. I love you forever, Dom Rosa.

I've had this one for a few days and blind bought based on someone I follow and trust. Wow! Very fun and beautiful scent. Definitely get the champagne and sweet pear on opening. The pear stays a while as the champagne fizzles out after 20 mins or so. I haven't detected clove, as described above, but the rose is a soft watering rose but not your grandmother's. Very pretty. The wood is soft and warming which I suspect is why some would say this is wearable in fall and winter. I will be wearing this in the Spring and maybe summer if the sweetness isn't too strong in the heat. It's fantastic and took me by surprise. Highly recommend. I believe it's unique enough for anyone's collection!

Honeymoon scent two of two. Loads of realistic champagne in the initial spray, which lasts really well, followed by a fruity rose scent. The rose isn’t too sweet or heavy, which is a bonus; the pomelo adds a pleasingly sharp citrus edge which keeps things quite fresh. Overall impression is of sparkling rose with an underlying woodiness. It’s beautifully light and fizzy; a gorgeous feminine scent suitable for any time of year. I have tried the original Dom Rosa also and I don’t think this version is that different. The longevity is perhaps a touch better, but otherwise they are essentially the same scent.

I love the OG Dom Rosa - so dial it up and what's not to love. Everything in this version feels amped up -- more spicy/peppery cloves (it almost tickles your nose), more tart (I feel my mouth puckering), the champagne a tad more fizzy. If you have the OG, this is redundant, but I personally only have samples of both, and am enjoying.

Radiant long lasting more present version of the original. It feels like it’s more complex or the notes are clearer though there is less sparkle. I do appreciate the aromatic touch it has. It’s clean, fresh and really interesting. I think will be enjoyable in the heat. Will wear my sample again as we move further into spring.

Woods and spices? Can't smell them. Don't care. THIS rose is absolutely a champagne + rose and it is INTOXICATING and I don't think I've ever used that word for a scent before. It really is beautiful and very feminine. Sits close but isn't shy. Top of the list for must have if you love roses.

I wore the sample, a few times and I love it!!! Very sparkly, not a loud perfume but very classy & elegant. I prefer this one over the OG. The champagne note makes the perfume become A+. This goes straight to my wish list!

Incredible scent. The pomelo and champagne add such a beautiful sparkle and freshness. Dries down to an incredible, textured rose. A perfect scent to wear for a special occasion. A personal fave.

Smells exactly the same as the original. I have the original too and i didn't notice any difference, except that Millesime lasts longer.

This is such a refreshing wine scent. I know the notes say champagne, rose, etc... But this translates to red or rose wine to me. With some citrus and rose to brighten it up and make it fresh and woods (probably mainly guaiac wood) to ground it. Note that I'm no rose nor woods fan. But this one is just lovely and refreshing , perfect all year round. Performance is super good and overall Dom Rosa Millésime is way more superior compared to its' predecessor Dom Rosa. Try Millésime and you won't look back ;)

What a happy scent!! so glad I checked it out at random. Green zesty rose hits you at first. Then some fizzy champagne and Cutrus note which is very prominent, makes it a happy sunny type a perfume. One of the reviewers mentioned bridal, wedding scent, I would say Yes most definitely. It sort of has slightly candy jolly rancher hiding in the background. Drydown citrussy rose on my skin. Longevity 3 hours, diffuses quickly on skin, however lasts longer on clothes. Shirt smelled like lemon candy.

Once again, Liquides Imaginaires and my skin work so well <3 I am very skeptical of rose scents, I never know if I would like them or not. This one I like a lot: opens with a splash of champagne, then pomelo comes through, tart but soft, and the rose stays in the background, very faint yet easily detectable. Great scent overall!

Very nostalgic -- smells like getting tipsy on Whispering Angel rosé with your friends in a park in the summertime. Also kinda smells like you've had rosé spilled over you.

I didn't expect this to be so ... light? is this the Dom Rosa that I know? I decided to wear this only due to the reason that the weather was gloomy and rainy (the best<3). that's the time when perfumes from Les Liquides Imaginaires are needed the most. how surprising it was to find out that this is a spring pomelo fragrance. wow. champagne?, no, I feel booziness in the original DR more. rose? maybe a little bit of a pink rose in the background. woods that were always present in the other fragrances from this brand? no. well you got me ig
