Lacrima

I love this scent for some reason. It starts off with a very powerful note of frankincense, it really feels as if you just stepped into a church and are walking towards the altar surrounded by thousand lit candles. Towards midlife, the scent goes into a very mature yet energetic vibe where the sweetness of elemi tones down the cypriol. I even get some cinnamon notes. Sillage: 9/10 Longevity: 9/10 Scent: 8/10 Cost: 7/10 Overall: 8.25/10 If you are into frankincense and mature scents this one is a definite buy.

It's a medicinal fragrance, kinda medicinal frankincense vibe. Invigorating for sure, but a bit too wild for me.

Smells like some kind of weird dill and sweet pickles. Absolutely awful.

I could wax poetic about Liquides Imaginaires for days. I think every single one of their scents are masterpieces. Even if one or two aren’t all that original, superiority in class is unarguable. Lacrima, I think, is original. Lacrima means tears. Tears are ozonic, salty. The elemi keeps it grounded in the heart, in the deeper emotions. I think that’s what feels a little “incense-y”, as noted by another reviewer. The wood base and castoreum, leather at the root, do something when combined with the ozone/salt and elemi. They combine in a way that makes this feel....how can I explain? If you are more aural, then I would say it radiates in slightly serrated peaks, sort of a fine sand on a long grain. If you were more visual I would say this is a soft, hazy gray, drifting towards ice. If you were a tactile person I would tell you that you might get a softly cool first impression, like an ocean breeze; but wait a while and you will meet the smoke-hardened heart of smooth wood and fuzzy moss (with a bit of splintery benzoin thrown in) of its interior. It is a truly unisex scent and it is a work of art. Tears, a universal human experience, are meant to be a release of any deeply felt emotion: passion, grief, joy, etc. They are a physical representation of a powerful experience; a memory leaving the body; a Sacred Salt. If Sacred Salt has a scent, this is it. It’s freakin good.

Regardless fragrance itself - people who work in liquides imaginaires are rather ignorants and neverminded... Fragrance trio : melancolia, lacrima, phanthasma are in production but hardly achievable. I can't find even samples. So I wrote directly to costumer services. The answer was : " Because containers thous 3 fragrances are very fragile we don't sell them by sending. If you want buy one you need to go directly to our scent bar in Paris. Thank you very mutch ( I got specially go from London to Paris to buy bottle of perfume or even smell it) I can afford it if I'm Rockefeller or Bill Gates only... I asked about sample info - No reply... Thous people p... ed me of so from now on I'm boykoting their fragrances....There is so many nice scents just skip liquides imaginaires onestly.

Yatagan, meets Musc Ravageur with some sweet smokey aspects. It is different for sure, the type of scent that makes you stand out, as no one else is going to smell exactly like this. It really does have parts that remind me of the Caron and Frederic Malle creations. I think for the price point, Musc Ravageur would be my pick. This is daring, and nice, but confused in the final dry down. It’s like it was created to have bravado, but chickened out. Also, admittedly, I don’t get the name??
