Pistachio Cousin

Sampling Liquides Imaginaires Pistachio Cousin, a 2025 release and very multifaceted blend that smells like a mix of fruit loops, pistachio, and a touch of Le Labo Tonka 25, a sweet, woody, musky, somewhat fresh, somewhat nutty blend that has a lot of appeal while smelling niche, a mix of introversion and extroversion. Even though it has a curious blend of notes—pistachio, citruses, petitgrain, sandalwood, incense, and perhaps most interestingly, akigala wood—it avoids being too sharp, in my opinion, a pitfall of some pistachio-centric fragrances that I’ve tried in recent years, and it’s overall not so pistachio-focused as to be disqualifying if you have any aversion to pistachio. And I think it performs quite well while not being overly intense in any one specific respect. Its concentration is EDP and retail pricing is $200 for 100ml, for sale in the US at great boutiques like Perfumology as well as others, and some department stores, seemingly, and I feel the retail value is strong, given the quality and versatility of this fun, quirky fragrance. 8 out of 10

So fresh and yummy, sweet but not too syrupy, perfect for summer. I was expecting not to be wowed given that pistachio scents are everywhere right now, but this was a pleasant surprised. Delicious.

Pistachio is a trend perfumery, what i love to this perfume is that pistachi is not in the sweet way, very nuty and woody , like it very much

I smelled this in a Neiman Marcus and I couldn't stop thinking about it, so I finally purchased. I would not purchase this for full price. It lasts longer on skin. The immediate notes are predominately grassy and citrus. Pretty quickly it transforms to fruit loops. Once it sets it's a beautiful clean, springtime pistachio scent. It has no sillage pretty shortly after spraying, but sticks to the skin for a long time. Like, you spray it at home and then drive to a 30 min commute to work, it's not making it to your coworkers.
