Tellus

It was a blind buy. I was looking for another earthy perfume after exploring Thundra from Profumum. Tellus is not realistically mushroomy wet soil and century old forest as Thundra, it is more to the clean cashmeran and elegant side, let say smell of fancy and expensive forest from some magazine or book. I was excepting maybe something different and more dirty, but at same time im also surprised with Tellus. How im thinking about comparsion to other brands, Tellus is dry or dusty as Arso from Profumum. Opening reminds me something out of Absinth from Nassomato, but not so bitter. There is also some floral aspect from Yoyogi from CDG.Tellus smells very pleasant, natural and artificial at the same time. Its hard to describe it for me in terms of ingredients. Will say its office safe scent, its not screaming loud. Duration around 7 hours, 4-5 hours with good moderate projection. I think it will reveal full potential in colder temperatures than the summer ones.It is the first brand from which I see perfume with dustbag included, which is really nice accessories. I love the packaging and design of the bottle, which is somehow medieval and alchemical/mysterious. The atomizer is the best one I have ever experienced, but will say it’s spitting too much fragrance, so you need to tuch it not so hard.I bought it for 175 euros, which is a really good price for this quality.

Absolute favorite, I'm so happy to have got a bottle before it was discontinued. Strangely I don't think I smell earth at any stage, and don't really get the nature walk comparisons. To me Tellus is about the costus, extremely well-framed filth. The opening is patchouli and coniferous wood sap with a dose of costus: dirty, fecal, repulsive and magnetic. I may be buying too much into the advertised note pyramid, but I think I also perceive cashmeran: the overall effect is like smelling a farm animal, maybe a goat. The drydown loses much of the fecal intensity and you are left with a very attractive musk, skin-like, barely-sweet labdanum, still a little fuzzy and dirty. For being so thoroughly organic and body-like it is at the same time cold and high-pitched, wooly and ethereal. Tellus is generally an interesting one. I obviously love it very much, I've had people compliment it on me, but then also had people call it a boring generic masculine scent. The reviews here are also very contradictory, classy men's scent vs unbearable manure stink, loud vs quiet, all kinds of things. That probably speaks to a pretty interesting composition I think.

The first time I tried it in a store in Hannover.I didn't realise its beauty.Second time I tried in Milan on a paper, I was fascinated by its temptation and couldn't believe how carnal and masculin a parfum could be. Even more mindblowing, tempting and sexy than the original Fahrenheit I used in early 90s. So I bought a sample to experience its 24h development on my own skin. Well having tried it on me, I still appreciate its drilling sexiness, but during the day I realized that those charming elements inside are actually the synthetic ones (Ambroxan and Cashmeran) not as synthetic as "Peau de bete" and "Fortis" from the same house, they tried to cover up those artifical odours with natural earthy, leathery woody elements yes, but still the synthetic content reveals itself a little bit too much for my nose. But for those who could make consessions towards the synthetic axis, the sexiest men's parfum on Earth.Bravo Nadege Nagerlantezec, Bravo Liquids Imaginaires.

The most pleasant & ethereal soil tincture note I've ever experienced. It's very ssfe smell, sophisticated and elegant dirt lol! Beautiful from the opening till the end. Absolutely unisex scent suitable for spring, fall, summer day and night. It would shine with slightly cool and/or humid weather. The only drawback is its projection and sillage. It stays close to the skin most of its life. If you are into japanese perfumery, this is one of them. Ethereal and beautiful. It's a long lasting scent. Dominant notes are smooth soil tincture and earthy, dry, non-sweet patchouli. Noticeable notes are cashmeran, amber and mild labdanum. I do not get moss. Just 1 hour before it dies it becomes a wonderful masculine skin scent.. almost a classic vibe. Something similar to Narciso Rodriguez the grey bottle. Beautiful and classy for places where the scent should be discreet.

It definitely lives up to its name. Imagine an early autumn walk in a forest. It has recently rained, so the earth is damp, but the sun is shining now. You get the wet earth, moss, maybe even some mushrooms. It’s so autumnally fresh ... but obviously not fresh-fresh ... you want to get down on your knees and breathe in all of the scents of nature. Certainly not a crowd pleaser or compliment getter ... more of a personal "comfy-chair-with-a-nice-smoky-malt-whisky" kind of scent. Personally, I love it but I have yet to try it in public. Maybe I will once autumn comes: out for a walk on a crisp, sunny autumn day with someone I hold dear ... one foot in front of the other, through the leaves and over bridges ... sitting on a brown leaf floor; kiss her lightly and tell her that I love her ...

I immediately loved this fragrance upon first wearing it, which is quite rare for me and for niche perfumes in general. But the damp soil, the fallen leaves and to me - fine herbs and a hint of vetiver makes this a very well balanced yet rare scent at the same time. It speaks of age and finding your more mature self, of confidence and of beeing connected to the earth and soil, yet having experienced the world around you. This is 5/5 for me.

I love this. I own several earthy scents, and I still wanted this one. I agree it has a soft edge. I smell the fir, the patchouli and the moss above all else. I adore it.

Never has wet earth smelt so alluring! Lovely, teasing, almost-spicy dark woods with the odd twang of resin and a bass hum of geosmin/peaty/earthiness beneath. Patchouli and oak moss bring in a very slight tang of mushroomy forest floor, but both are held in check - it definitely doesn't smell mouldy or repellent. Still definitely one for those who're not looking to please, but for grown-up, outdoorsy companionship and deep thoughts. Not necessarily smelling alike, but it reminded me of a less-sweet Guerlain Songe d'Un Bois D'Ete, or a less tobacco-heavy PG Coze, or even - if you squint at it right - a less worldly-wise (and less upscale-French) version of Lutens Chene. Sadly it doesn't have quite the charisma of any of those, and much less lasting power. Sillage seems large at first because it's such a distinctive, almost-medicinal aroma, but retreats fast to skin scent and doesn't hang on much past 3-4h even on pulse points. But really a most charming scent to stroll with - or imagine you're strolling with. Brings the outdoors inside, for sure (definitely no fecal or barnyard stinks, though, so breathe easy). Fill your muddy boots and enjoy the smell of a bracing autumn walk through the woods.

This fragrance is in my wheelhouse - I've sampled a lot of soil tinctures and earth accords since they work so well on my skin. The soil/earth note in Tellus is a good one.. However, to me this perfume is all about the Costus. I have to imagine that Costus has so few votes in the notes list because it's an unfamiliar note. My reference for Costus is Black Sheep by House of Matriarch, which is basically a Costus soliflore. I also see Haxan by Prin Lomos listed as a similar fragrance to Tellus; I agree, and that perfume also features a prominent Costus note. Given their emphassis on Costus, I'd say Tellus and Black Sheep are in direct competition in the same category. If it's a question of price, Tellus is certainly the winner. In terms of quality, Black Sheep is a much fuller and richer composition. Tellus relies on cashmeran and ambroxan to provide that soft, fuzzy texture; Black Sheep does it with an overdose of Costsus combined with wool tincture. If you like one, certainly sample the other when you have the chance. Costus is a beautiful and unusual note, and I'm happy that it's represented well here.

This scent instantly transported me to Sepulcher in Silverpine Forest; the domain of the undead. A forest roamed by darkfallen, worgs, ghouls, liches, gargoyles, banshees, bone golems; every form of necrotic scourge you can imagine. Dark, damp, and filled with smoldering herbs, the air feels heavy with decay. As it develops, the journey shifts toward Western Plaguelands, mirroring the very color of the bottle itself. The destination is the basement of the Great Ossuary in Scholomance. Here, the wet soil is pierced with bones; rot, plague residue, and relentless dampness surround you. This fragrance pushes the boundaries of gothic perfumery into truly sepulchral territory. And yet, it remains wearable; provided you’re drawn to herbal, earthy, damp, mortuary-leaning compositions. Dark, unsettling, and unapologetically necrotic; this is gothic taken to its edge. Edit: I smelled this one again after Geist. It came across warmer and more sickening, and I felt slightly nauseous. Tellus isn't complacent. Within the Liquidies Imaginaires line, it's either going on clearance or being discontinued. In its defense, I can say that there are perfumes to enjoy with others (even for others to enjoy on us) and there are fragrances for personal enjoyment. Many niche perfumes appeal to this: the olfactory experience, the association with a place or moment through scent. I don't wear Tellus on an outing or at the office. I wear it for introspection. It conveys the serenity of a mossy, dark, and lonely forest. It's like an "essencescape." I had a similar experience trying Santum (it takes you to an ancient church). I agree with other reviews and one way to avoid regret is to not buy blindly and define the experience we want with a fragrance (for what moment and with what purpose).

Every time I go to park and lie down on the ground, specially after a light rain, I can smell a mixture of wet soil and grass. This perfume is somehow look like that smell with patchouli scent which is a dominant scent of this masterpiece. In one work I can say that this perfume has got earthy and woody scent. I couldn't find any flowery scent at all. I supposed it is because of heavy scent of patchouli and moss which follows u all the time when you are wearing it. Both longevity and projection are moderate. I consider that It is not a unisex perfume. I think It is more masculine rather that feminine. It is suitably for could weather and I suggest it for fall and winter. In hot weather it would bother you since the woody scent of this perfume is really heavy. Therefore I don't recommend it for spring and summer. I think it suits for any occasion for both night and day time. the design of the bottle is awesome. I like it very much. Well this is a bit different. I feel bad for marking down my rating because its an interesting perfume but I had a very strong response to it. Lilies and wet, peaty earth. This is a dark, pungent, funereal scent. You don't need to hit me over the head with the shovel. I can feel this plugging a direct line of morbid gloom into my brain. I had the same neuroaesthetic response to Beaufort's Fathom V which has similarities (soil, oakmoss, lilies). I may be alone in this reaction though. Tellus — your actual latin for "earth" — is a boozy, bitter-cocoa patchouli with oakmoss and dirty soil notes, humus-rich and damp. The lily is noticeable and fir develops strongly in the base. Sinister and unnerving. This is not a friendly for wood to stroll about in. It feels like I'm being interred. I want to applaud Les Liquides Imaginaires for putting this one out there, but at the same time I'd cross the road to avoid meeting it again.

This perfume was given to me as a present from a perfume shop I usually go. I would have never bought this one. I have used this a lot for testing purpose. Most of the people who smelled it do not like it so keep that in mind. The performance and sillage is also not that good, its mostly a skin scent and it doesn't really project, you have to be very close to smell it but maybe this is good otherwise this perfume would give weird vibes :D. I don't know if this perfume is discontinued or not but definitely is not a blind buy.

Smelly, heavy, brings headaches, I would not advise him .

Maybe my nose, green to the many intricacies surrounding the world of scent and perfume, isn't experienced enough to truly appreciate this creation. Also, my novice nose is yet unable to discern which particular note (or possibly notes) are working to produce the accord "grandpa's date night" that strikes me immediately upon smelling this, even before it's sprayed. Is it the patchouli? I like patchouli, but not this one. Same for soil, balsam, cashmere... I honestly can't really notice any particular ingredient listed. Perhaps, this combination is so jarringly offensive to my senses that my nose is physically unable to separate individual notes. (nose: "ugh, please, overload. scrub it off SCRUB IT OFFFFFF") I wanted to like this. I really did. I tried to wear this, tried to let it settle and give it a chance, but after 20 minutes, I couldn't deal with the smell enough to see if it would mellow. This was my first true "scrubber" :( Sorry Tellus, it's not you, it's me.

Why are the folks over at Liquides Imaginaires so reluctant to create perfumes that actually smell, and so averse to making a fragrance that doesn’t reek of sweaty hair? Tellus is my second decant from the brand, and surely the last. Whoever’s fetish this scalp scented DNA is, STOP. Get some help. There’s no soil in here, absolutely nothing remotely fecal, and only the faintest fir. What this is, is unwashed sweaty hair. Luckily these perfumes are weaker than a premature infant’s immune system, but whatever scent is fighting for its life is vile in all the wrong ways. I hope y’all go to jail.

Tellus feels *very* synthetic in a generic way, ominously dark and, yes, a bit earthy, but without the complexity of a “real” perfume. Mostly it’s a synthetic “ambery” “patchouli” (of what I think of as the Evil Grand Vizier style) like many others. The Grand Vizier goes to the mall.

خاک خشک بهترین و با کیفیت ترین رایحه ی خاکی و مرطوب رو باید در کوچه های خاکی قدیمی با خونه های کاه گِلی بعد از یک بارش بهاری جستجو کرد و یا باید تو خاک شخم خورده ی یه مزرعه که تن عریانش رو به بارون پاییزی سپرده به دنبالش بود.اون موقه میشه با تمام وجود حس کرد که "خاک خویشاوند من نیست؛خویشتن من است" یعنی چی.یه عطر کامل و بی همتا که نمیشه هیچ عطری که ادعای بازسازی چنین مفهومی رو داره حتی در چندصد فرسخی اون تصور کرد!! اما این بدین معنی نیست که عطر های خاکی؛کارای خوبی نیستن و بر عکس عطر هایی دوست داشتنی و زیبا بحساب میان که بخاطر تلاش در ارائه ی مفهومی بزرگ باید با احترام برخورد شه باهاشون و پیش داوری نشن.قضاوت هم موکول میشه به اینکه تا چه حد در راستای خلق اونو فضای بزرگ؛خوب عمل کردن! Tellus هم یکی از این قبیل عطر هاست که خاک خشک گرما زده رو به ذهن متبادر می کنه؛رطوبتی نیست و در نهایت خبری از رویش و سبزینه ای هم در میون نیست! Tellus با بوی دم کرده ی حیوانی و الکلی که حالتی موهوم و دارویی در فضایی چرکین داره باز میشه و پس از مدتی نسبتاٌ طولانی فضای الکلی به حاشیه میره و عطر بر وجه انیمالیک مشک و حاشیه ای از گلهای سفید به مسیر خودش ادامه میده.به مرور پچولی خشک و ادویه ای وارد کار میشه و با قدرت گرفتن و عقب روندن رایحه ی انیمالیک؛فضای خشک،خاکی،چرکین و کمی چوبی-که اون هم خشکه- بر عطر حاکم میشه. با این تغییر که زمان نسبتاٌ زیادی تا حادث شدنش میگذره؛داستان خاک در قالب Tellus رو خواهیم داشت. پچولی و چوب خشک و کمی ادویه ای با حاشیه ای چرکین که در فضای خاکستری و دود گرفته ای که امضای عطر های لیکویید هست جریان داره و با کم توان و محو شدن حاشیه ی انیمالیک؛بر محوری خشک و خاکی داستان به پایان میرسه. Tellus قطعا توجه طرفداران روایح خاکی و خاص رو جلب خواهد کرد.یه کار گرم که المان های لیکویید رو هم با خودش به همراه داره و البته سر سختی و جدیتش برای خیلی ها خوشایند خواهد بود.اما داستان خاک و مادر زمین رو کمی منفی نگرانه بیان می کنه!! Quite interesting and gentle, with a kind of fuzzy, sweet labdanum heart. I thought this would be rough and edgy but it's actually a bit soft...yet dirty. There's patchouli and soil tincture that give it a distinctly muddy, wet leaf aroma, but it's paired with a creamy, sweet cashmeran and labdanum that give it a dry ambery feel with just a hint of powder. Attaquer le Soleil is a very appropriate comparison here. To contrast the dense earthiness is a subtle tang from oakmoss (not really noticeable at all), and some aromatic fir and delicate lilies. I would have liked those to be more prominent instead of being so labdanum-forward. It's weird but it feels as is someone had a sweet body odor that crept into their wool jacket and was left outside in a damp part of the forest overnight. It's strangely comforting but I feel like this is trying to do things that are not fully coming together, or just done better by other perfumes when taken in different directions. I'm thinking Olympic Orchards Olympic Forest, Fathom V, Jorum Studio Arborist, Boudicca Wode, or Attaquer le Soleil itself for a cleaner, more wearable labdanum.

A boomy, bassy, dusty, terrestrial patchouli bomb. Tellus walks a fine line between dirty and sophisticated, merging cedar with wet soil notes to produce a direct, deep, linear patchouli fragrance. This patchouli leans more green and leafy than chocolatey or mint (directions that patchouli can sometime take) and it's a little smoky and dry, but the soil lends it a delicate petrichor effect (geosmin, I assume). The result is a straightforward, leafy patchouli that doesn’t veer into hippie territories and manages to stay rugged while holding a sophisticated pose. It’s good, but it’s disturbingly similar to Tom Ford’s recent Patchouli Absolue and I’d have to give the Tom Ford the edge for refinement and durability. This is solid, though, and definitely worth a sniff if you're after a refined patchouli.

A very nice surprise. A super earthy, austere and dry woody-patch driven fragrance with amber facets. It smells haunting and severe but the whole composition is handled with just the right amount of restraint to never result too challenging. The patch note is one of the driest since the one in the infamous M/Mink by Byredo or the original, pre-reformulation, Sombre Negra by Yosh. Woods ar sharp-ish but never overdone while the fragrance preserve an overall resinous vibe that drives it towards balmy territories. If you like very earthy dry stuff, give this a chance. Probably not groundbreaking but I really like it. Rating: 7.5/10

wow... i never would've guessed the origins of this accord! but yeah, i get how it's soil and patchouli! the accord reminds me of smooth, smarmy lothario guys in the mid to late 80s with acid wash jeans and what-they-now-call porn-staches. it's hard for me to remove this connotation and connection from this scent, so for me, i can only rely on that reference point. it's brutally close to what they used to wear before going to nightclubs and i can't divorce myself from that connection. is it pino? blue stratos? i dunno what it is but it smells like forced machismo and laboured apathy...

سلام این ادکلن رو فکر کنم تو دهات ما و کنار خونه عموم ساختن دقیقا بوی روستاهای خاکی دامداری زمین کشاورزی قاطر و گاو میده نه اینکه بد بو باشه بوی خاطره انگیزی داره بوی طبیعت سالم و دست نخورده میده البته نه از نوع جنگلیش بلکه از نوع خاکیش هر وقت دلتون هوای اب و هوای تمیز روستا و بوی پهن تازه و خاک تمیز کرد این عطر رو بو کنید و یه چیزه دیگه اونم اینکه چندین سال پیش که تازه محل ما رو میخواستن گاز رسانی کنن زمین رو کنده بودن و از توی اون چاله ها یه بوی خاک مرطوبی میومد بوی ریشه درختان قدیمی هم قاطیش بود این ادکلن منو یاد اون زمانم میندازه دم سازدنش گرم Like Love Nostalgic

A cold day do gardening on the backyard. Ture to patchouli, earthy, dirty but not that dirty, cashmerelike coziness and moss icing are there with some fragrant flowers just fell. On my cushion it's surprisingly longlasting. Many Les Liquides Imaginaires tell stories better on surroundings than on skin, they're always too close and effortlessly sophisticated, but stories are rewards. Tellus is realistic than clean and beautiful patchoulesque Tempo, ture to dreams among soils.

you have soil tinctures that can give off a rich feeling of green biodiversity, the base of life, luscious rooty goodness. but this is cold cracked mud, stems driven over by a car, it makes you feel like the same way when youre in the rain and it ruined your day plans, not the pleasant kind of rain. still searching for my green soil! maybe in the summer it could balance out the overly green and blue of reality by giving wet dirt, like an LA goth, lets see then

Very interesting scent, yes it is earthy but it smells like a classy man's scent to me. Well done, very similar to Chypre Mousse by Oriza L. Legrand (though Chypre Mousse is a bit brighter with the fennel). I wouldn't wear it myself but it is very interesting and good for those who enjoy wearing unique and atmospheric scents.

Had a chance to smell this in Barney's today. It is the scent of soil mixed with steer manure. It is the kind of scent that you don't mind while you are working in the garden but why you should want to smell of this I don't know. This takes fecal to another layer. The SA commented that they had sold NONE.

Smells like wet soil mixed with patchouli. It's like the smell of a garden, really. Unique, yes, but not necessarily good. I feel like a very limited number of people well actually pull Tellus so good, it'd be their signature but the vast majority might not even like it! Like & pass.
