Rue Paradis

Wonderful soft spicy, powdery mimosa dominant perfume with a woody base. The mimosa is dominant here, but not too sweet, strong and slightly honeyed, it’s balanced perfectly with a touch of anise star, which makes smell liquorice like. Nothing too exciting, but it’s a beautiful mimosa forward scent for those looking for such scent! Feminine and warm, Rue Paradise is the perfect scent for spring/summer. It’s floral, it’s vibrant, it’s honeyed sweet with moderate longevity and intimate sillage. If you can get your hands on it and you like mimosa, get it. It’s reasonably priced and comes in a gorgeous, luminous, sunny bottle!

The perfumes of Les Nereides are criminally underrated. This to me is what Jo Malone tried to be with Mimosa & Cardamom but Rue Paradis actually stays longer on your skin and develops better - I tried both perfumes and Mimosa & Cardamom was barely there after 2 hours, while RP was still going strong 4-5 hours later. The star anise is barely noticeable and the drydown is gorgeous mimosa-sandalwood blend.

Beautiful fresh scent of mimosa and linden blossom (for me they smell quite similar). It’s powdery and dry with radiant musky woods in the base. It has a touch of sweetness but it’s veeery subtle. It’s quite strong and powerful, I didn’t expect that from a lux fragrance.

One of my favorites, especially for the spring! I've been looking for a mimosa scent for some time and this is perfect... The anise note reminds me of Sunny Seaside of Zanzibar from 4771, but way better blended!

Wonderful for a mimosa lover. Very lovely, naturalistic, moist, sweet almost fresh mimosa - perfect for spring and summer. Reminds me a little of the L’Artisan discontinued Mimosa pour Moi but this one is slightly fresher and stronger (in soft woolly mimosa terms at least!). Very nice indeed and you can snap this up at great prices right now.

The anise is very strong in this, so if that isn't your cup of tea...but the mimosa is lovely! It's warm and powdery sweet. Reminiscent of warm summer days. Although, as it is rather strong, it tends to get too cloying in hot weather, during the chilly days it shines.

I think this is the second bottle of perfume featuring mimosa that I own. I have smelled some other mimosa perfumes before, but never really smelled minosa flower in real life. The opening matches my perception of mimosa. It is clean, sweet, green and a bit powdery. It gives off spring vibe, pleasant and uplifting. After 10 to 15 min, I start getting something like licorice in the background, which adds more sweetness. However, the drydown is somewhat disappointing. It gets really weak, almost hard to detect. It becomes more like a skin scent. Sweet and slightly woody. I was expecting sandalwood to do some magic here and bring some wow-factor. Unfortunately, that is not the case here. In general the sillage is weak. It is very suitable for spring and summer.

For me is smells very simple and cheap. Too sweet opening, like candy. Then the candy becomes less sweet, but dusty and powdery. Not my type of parfum at all. But maybe in the spring it will show itself from the different side.

Acquistato perché amante della mimosa,confidando sulle entusiastiche recensioni. Purtroppo sono veramente delusa,la mimosa non si sente assolutamente,il profumo è debolissimo si stenta quasi a percepirne la fragranza. Anche sui tessuti dura pochi minuti. Proverò a tenerlo chiuso per molto tempo,tanto per il momento è inutile usarlo

About 10 minutes after application this smelled like cleaning products to me! Loved the immediate anise open, but the fragrance is too strong and sour to be enjoyable in the drydown.

This is in the same vein as Jo Malone Mimosa & Cardomom, except this seems to be made of higher quality materials and has better longevity. The opening note of star anise, as it does in Guerlain's legendary Après l'Ondée, lends the scent a mild spiciness that is redolent of the old world. I do not smell any cleaning products as per the previous user's comment, though the powdery aspect of mimosa may indeed remind some people of baby wipes. That aside, this scent is not artificial-smelling at all. It is natural and cosy (if applied in small amounts).

Omg! What a gem! Best mimosa ever created!💛 Got is as a blinde buy. Is just wonderful! Very floral, warm and sweet. But so unique! Flower bomb in deed but made it very gracefuly! It's def more feminine and slightly woody. Gorgeous find. IT last hourssss!!! If u have a good quality nose u would realise this smells nothing like detergent as some comments say ... 😒

I've never smelled mimosa flowers in real life, so maybe this smells like them-- to me it's somewhere between dandelions and pears. A little fluffy, kind of clean in a natural way. Not bad, but not to my taste. If someone else smelled like this, I'm not sure I'd know it was a perfume, I might think they were using a really natural-smelling laundry detergent.

Gorgeous mimose scent. The touch of anis is very subtle. The drydown is creamy, smooth sandalwood. I perceive a slightly fruity sweetness, but I am not sure where is coming from. Very feminine and elegant. I am buying a full bottle, might need back ups as well...

Amazing sweet mimosa powder without the stem. Just pure bliss! One of my best blind buys. If you like feminine powdery perfumes this is for you.
