Mirage Exotique

I’m so tired of fragrance influencers telling me what to like and everyone raving out to buy the new, hottest fragrance. Tbh, I’ve stopped purchasing a lot of fragrances since prices went up and the market became saturated with vanilla cookie gourmands. This one is different and I love that it seems to get no hype. Although I struggle with Saffron, it’s just the right amount in this deep whirlwind of sensuality. I think this note, along with the sophisticated fruitiness of passion fruit is what sets Mirage Exotique apart from so many other tropical scents. Actually, this scent doesn’t read as entirely tropical to me. It’s fresh, but deep and intoxicating. The longevity, for me, is amazing. I can still smell this on my clothes and skin the next day and I constantly get beautiful consistent wafts of this without feeling like I’m overtaking the room or choking people out. This is a deeply personal scent for me and will no doubt be my spring/summer scent for 2026.

I had high hopes for this one! Mirage Gourmand from this brand got so much hype, but it didn't seem like something I would care for so I haven't bothered trying it yet. The notes for Mirage Exotique are right up my alley though so I was excited to order a sample. I do like Mirage Exotique, but I'm disappointed in the performance. It's so soft! There is no sillage whatsoever. It doesn't project at all. I prefer my fragrances to not be very loud, but I literally have to put my nose up to where I applied it or I can't smell this at all. Maybe this is one you have to really over spray? Anyway, it smells lovely. It's nothing groundbreaking, unique, or original, but it's nice. It's a slightly boozy fruity floral. It's just the right amount of sweet but also has some depth to it. Very pretty. Feminine leaning, but I could see men being able to pull this off. Not overly girly or juvenile at all. I've noticed saffron and rose together tends to give that slight boozy quality in fragrances, at least to my nose. The amber note could be adding to that as well. I could see every age group enjoying this. I've only tested out my sample once so far, but it seems to have moderate longevity. You kind of have to search for it after the first 2 or 3 hours though because it becomes even softer and lighter than it already was. It lingers but very faintly. There are some cheap body sprays at the drugstore that perform better than this niche perfume. I could see this being a nice signature scent. Good for all occasions year round. I really enjoy the way it smells, but I'm not sure yet if I can justify the price for what it is.

Starts out passionfruit and saffron. Then the mango and rose start to come in. It dries woody and passion fruit. It's very strong. I don't get coconut at all. It's not super sweet, so its definitely unisex. I like it, but I could see some people wishing it were a little sweeter.

This would make a fantastic holiday scent. Tropical fruits passionfruit and mango with a honey sweetness in the base. Juicy and exotic, smells like the colour yellow and sipping fruity cocktails in summer on a remote island - very fitting of its name!

Interesting this is very much a tropical gourmand to my nose. I think the saffron and vanilla make it very syrupy. Once the opening notes settle down it becomes a very generic rich meh perfume.

This was so pretty at first, but within twenty minutes it smelled like a generic, overpowering fabric softener sheet.
