Ballerina No 1

I'm funny. I blind-bought this because of my little girl who has really taken a liking to her ballet class. I love seeing her in her pink shoes, tights, and leotard. I wanted something to wear on the days she has ballet, and from the description, Ballerina No.1 seemed perfect--and it IS! It's very soft, sweet, youthful and innocent. Smells so innocuous that my daughter could probably wear it too. Soft as the fragrance is, I find that it projects quite well on me for hours. I definitely get a lovely fruitiness--I would say sweet peach with a tiny bit of sweet raspberry mixed in. There is a fresh rosiness about it. In the drydown, the fruit disappears, and it smells a lot like a Nivea cream or some type of soft, musky, creamy lotion. All in all, this could be Barbie's fragrance. I adore it! It's absolutely delightful and charming in every way. Edit: My daughter found it and loves the smell. Since she loves ballet, she was naturally very attracted to the bottle with its tutu. Out of hundreds of bottles in my home it’s the only one she ever sprayed when I wasn’t looking! Now she regularly goes in to spritz, and it smells divine on her. I tell her she smells like an angel! I hope they never discontinue this magical fragrance. I bought a 50 ml bottle but I will need two 100ml bottles now—a backup for myself, plus one to save for her very own when she’s a bit older. I’m already storing a 2011 bottle of Chanel No.5 Parfum for her as well as a butterfly bottle of Petite Cherie.

Such a tender, lovely little scent. This is a fruity floral with the emphasis on floral. A very classic and traditional perfume house's take on youthful and modern notes. The rose and peony are the center of the composition. They're fresh and a little soapy, which is usually a no-go for me in rose scents, but it works here because everything is so delicate. This is not a fruit bomb, but peach and raspberry are detectable and sweeten up the flowers. Soon the milk and vanilla come in and give the perfume a light and pleasant warmth. This milk is neither fresh out of the fridge, nor warm and burned like it is in many other fragrances, it's just the subtle scent of room-temperature milk. As the fragrance dries down further it also becomes quite musky on my skin, without ever losing the clean pink rose note. I didn't expect to love this as much as I do, I got it as an extra gift in a swap and it wasn't on my radar before. Parfums de Rosine is often a little too old-school for my liking, but these Ballerinas seem to combine vintage style and modern scent profiles in a pleasant way. The bottle is also adorable. To me this scent conveys an innocent and loving personality. It's not over the top Barbie pink or extremely sweet, it's just comforting and uplifting for the days when you need it.

It's such a lovely pretty perfume. Just exactly like the bottle. It's sweet and light but has quite a strength to it, with a lovely soft rose, beautiful pink peony, lovely fruit and violet too I can smell. Raspberry and pear, freesia, delicious peach, and bergamot, which gives it a refreshing tang. It's a gorgeous mixture of flowers and fruit, very juicy, fresh and uplifting. And after a while the vanilla and milk come creaming in to make it into a delicious milkshake. And the sandalwood and musk give it a more solid base, which keeps it from being too light, but it is still pretty and effervescent, and very charming. It's a beautiful smell! I feel young and carefree, and pretty when I wear it, which is quite often really. It has grown on me, and I like it more and more all the time. And it's the most gorgeous bottle. So elegant and charming. Everything's so very pretty about it. I'm rather in love with it actually. It's one of my favourite perfumes. It gives me a lift, even just looking at the bottle. The colour! Absolutely beautiful. It's gorgeous.

This was a blind buy based on the notes. First, let me say the bottle is very pretty and girly which is right up my alley. I really enjoy this delicate powdery fragrance and it has become one of my favorites. I will reach for it often, especially for daytime wear and before bed. I smell violet, peach, soft floral notes and a creamy drydown. It's gently sweet and not cloying at all. I can imagine a ballerina with a pink tutu wearing this perfume. The scent is definitely one interpretation of graceful ballet and the feminine aspect of the color pink.

My husband gave this to me for my birthday and I absolutely love it! To me it is exactly what I had hoped for and what the name and bottle presume it to be : soft, pink and innocent. It opens with lots of soft rose and peony, which leads to a more playfull and fruity trail, I can smell the peach...The drydown is a little powdery and still soft. Lasts about 6 hours. Rosine works with all natural ingredients what I love, it is so pure and never harsh. To me it is definitly worth the € 95,00 for 50 ml!

This was a most successful blind buy from Beauty Habit. I really didn't expect it to be so original - the milk note! I have tried to purchase samples from Rosine numerous times without success. For some reason, they don't accept my card, which is fine every where else. So I blind buy from Rosine, which is usually a sure bet. They really don't have a loser in their line.

This is such a cute perfume. Rose in here is delicate and young. Fresh, pink scent with milky powdery aspect. It’s the perfume for a modest and charming girl. Tess d’Urberville comes to my mind. This perfume also feels very natural, not synthetic. It’s simple but glamorous. It deserves more attention, because I feel it’s underrated.

I 've waited for one month to smell it!But ,with a lot of surprise i'm fall in love with it! Really light scent,feminine,and with a milky twist.,it remember the pleasure of a body cream.The sillage is quite good and it stay on me 4 hour . Perfect for the morning

Lovely sweet creamy delight. Rose, peony, violet, raspberry, musk, vanilla and sandalwood. Beautiful bottle. Lasts well and has a soft sillage.

a very elegant parfume. I smell mostly rose and musk. Maybe a bit raspberry. It had a milky vibe yes. It's a very pricy parfume. A bit to much for me because it's a very very light scent. Only on my wrist I smell it.

I don't think I have ever smelled a fragrance that is more aptly named or presented. It is a tutu in a bottle! It's fluffy and sweet but not at all cloying. It envelops you like the softest of clouds. Love!

Soft pretty little pink rose, suitable for the youngest ballerina--or the woman who is still that little girl at heart.

I don't dislike this, although it is quite synthetic. The florals are vague, especially for Rosine, and it has the dreaded detergent musk, and loudly. It's young, "fresh" and "clean" - all words I stay away from in parfumery. Not very sweet — it actually has a surprising raspberry tartness — and not much of a sillage. I assume this was quite a hit due to how many Ballerinas Rosine has now, but I definitely do not think it's one of their better fragrances. I assume most people go to Rosine for rose, and there's hardly any to be found here.

I don’t think there’s much new information I can add to the reviews on Ballerina no.1, but I will say that this is a scent for a very young girl, teen or young woman: middling florals, fruit notes and warm milk.

It's really synthehic, reminds me of rosy soap. Pity, looking at the notes I expected better (and almost blind bought a bottle!). For me, the violet overpowers the whole composition.

This probably smells nice with the right skin chemistry. If milk/wood notes smell bad on you, you should probably avoid this.I just kept it for the bottle design.

this one starts with florals (mostly freesia with a hint of peony) raspberry and a synthetic musk. it's fairly soft, but smells odd, kind of like new clothes or a department store with something fruity and watery mixed in. then the milk and rose come out and it smells kind of rubbery on me. this one is quite strange and synthetic on my skin, and the notes don't seem to blend well at all, until after awhile. it dries down to a rose/milk/vanilla with a synthetic musk..

I'm not sure what is going on here, but this was pee-yoo on me. I'm wondering if the formula has been tweaked recently; it smells like wet lumber. I've never sniffed anything with a milk note, and its safe to say I won't go seeking this out any time soon. I dare say this is one of the worst fragrances I've ever sampled.

The house of Rosine describes Ballerina No 1 as a girl ballerina aspiring to become a star. Yes, I sense here a little ballerina... but she is not graceful and has spilled her vanilla milk all over her pretty rosy pink tutu.
